Ideal city centre location and hotel was very quiet..only one downside was mattress was very hard but still had enough hours sleep. I had a family room on the third floor with a window in the street and I loved it. Extremely comfy bed and quiet at night (there are some people asking a racket in the street while rolling home at night but you'll get that anywhere). It's also only a stones throw from Union street and the Union Square shopping center. The staff are extremely nice and accommodating. All in all great value for money. Recommended.

What a great stay we had at Aberdeen House. We had a lovely room on the 3rd floor with a fantastic view of the harbour - we could see everything going on, the location of this hotel is very convenient for the train and bus station as well as the Union Square shopping centre and of course the harbour. Shower was rainfall style and superb. There's no restaurant but if you're looking for a reasonably priced, clean place to stay in Aberdeen, this is definitely it. We will be staying again!

First there was no elevator so had to carry my bag up to the 3rd floor. This room was so small the door couldn’t open fully as it hit the bed which was against the opposite wall already. There was no room for my suitcase except on the bed. The shower was small but adequate in size, but the water was non-stop hot/cold, hot/cold. The walls in the room were not clean. The room was small enough that there wasnt a window, so no secondary escape in case of a fire. The garbage can lid hinge was broken so I had to lift the lid off each time I used it. The toilet seat was loose and wobbled around with each use. There was a TV and a little coffee cupboard attached to the wall, but only one plug so if you wanted a hot drink the TV had to be unplugged. The room was a bit too warm but no way to get extra ventilation except to open the door. Not really convenient during the night. For the good points, the bed was comfortable, and only staff I saw was at check in and she was very pleasant. I did chose a small room because of the cost and it was only one night, but I wasn’t expecting Harry Potters closet. The ad picture did not reflect the room

Although not an impressive room, it is hard to argue with the convenience of it's location. It is right near the pier, bus terminal, and train station. If you are only popping into Aberdeen for a night/day, you don't need to rely on other transportation besides what took you to the city or what will take you out of it. There are also plenty of restaurants and a few tourist destinations all within walking distance.

Really can't complain about the cost of this overnight in central Aberdeen. Ok it's noisy and could do with secondary glazing, the tv didnt work cos of lack of signal and no shower gel in the shower dispenser but the bed was very comfy and there was tea/coffee in room. Would def use again.

I didn't specifically choose this room, but I feel if a room has no windows, it should be flagged in the booking. The room was literally the size of a single bed. Opening the door the room would fill half the room.
It got incredibly hot during the night because of lack of ventilation, I had to prop the door open to let air from the hallway in. I can't imagine anyone staying in the room in summer, be warned.

Recently refurbished room, fresh paint etc, new fittings and fixtures including sockets by the bed. Bathroom needs a towel rail or hooks. Room could do with hooks too. Very convenient for the railway station, bus station and city centre shopping areas. Ideal for a one night stopover.

Having to find something short notice due to husband in hospital it was ok. I booked a single room which was tiny but had everything except a window? Was a little clostraphobic but did and no where to plug in the kettle except the floor. Was right on a bus stop with direct buses to the hospital so that was good as I don’t know Aberdeen. Have booked another night but this time booked a double so hopefully it will have a window this time..

Hotel hard to find. Door locked until 1500 for check-in. No elevator and lots of stairs. Heat in bldg turned off after 9am then on from 4pm till bed time and turned off again at about 6am til 9.. No heat in bath and little circulation from bedroom. Stayed 2 nights because I prepaid with no reimbursement allowed. Moved to a near hotel. Would only stay again if no other options.

Perfect for everything we needed
We booked the Aberdeen House Hotel for a last minute one night stat just as a base for sleeping really. We experienced quick and efficient service from the receptionist, the best was so comfy and warm, the bathroom was massive, and the room was spotless. Tea and coffee facilities were also included along with all other essentials.
The only criticisms we had were the stairs to reach the room as we were on the top were quite tiring as an elevator does not exist, but that is perhaps a reflection of our fitness levels rather than a fault of the hotel, also there was no breakfast but this wasn’t expected either.
Overall, this hotel provided us with everything we required, with even more comfort than imagined, and all for a very very reasonable price.

Shockingly poor hygiene. There was dust everywhere, carpet stained really bad. Bed linen stained. Broken fixtures. Bathroom had black mould in shower cubicle and on shower head. Bedside unit sticky cup mark and tobacco leave. Broken and dangerous exposed wires in socket.

The carpets were very stained. The TV remote missing then days later delivered but it was old and some of the buttons not working. The internet slow at times and no Fridge. All these things did not effect my stay at all as the position allowed me to walk everywhere. I arrived by train and had a 4min walk to this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The stay was fine for 3 nights, however they had the most bizarre visitor policy ever. \"No Visitor Policy\", if found out, you were threatened with a £200 fine and asked to leave. I imagine they may have had issues with uninvited or unexpected guests before. Also after the first night, the wifi on the top floor stopped working. No Bueno.

The hotel looked a bit of a dive when going in but i was very pleasantly surprised when i went into the room both the room and bathrooms were a great size. The lights at the side of the bed didnt work which was a pain and it was a little cold at night but probably because of the very high ceilings and the freezing weather outside and blanket would have been a nice extra. It was very noisy but mostly due to outside noise and other guests but it was saturday night so not a lot they could do about that. I would stay again as its very central and great for a night out or an early train/bus.

The place was clean & tidy. It is cold when you first arrive as the heaters are all switched off. Plus it had no heating in the bathroom which was massive!

We stayed at this hotel during the onset of the coronavirus and the receptionist was efficient and very kind to us. There was a distinct smell of cleaning products that had been used in this tired hotel. However, the hotel could not do enough to help us and we met people in the hotel who were so caring and thoughtful of each other. The hotel faces negative criticism throughout the website but again we could not complain with the service we received and the bath was deep with plenty hot water and amenities in our room were enough for us. This is a cheap hotel and to have the use of a kitchen and microwave was exceptionally helpful during the coronavirus. Yes, there is a hostel attached but the kindness of others in a difficult period was warmly welcomed. The spirit of selfishness we experienced from strangers in that hotel was heart warming.
