I stay here every time I come to Aberdeen on business. It's a good and reliable hotel.
This time though the bed was not the usual standard. In an Executive room there is usually a very comfortable super king bed; this time it was a double with a less good mattress. Not sure what's going on here as one would expect that the same class of room in the same hotel would have identical facilities.

Pretty average stay. Staff were all really nice and helpful but the room was below par - poor lighting, a shower that leaked into the floor, etc - generally in need of some TLC. Quite a bit of a noise from the outside too. Bed was comfy enough. Not a terrible stay but wouldn't rush back.

We booked the room in November 2025 for valentines 2026 and were given a very run down and not very good room. I would have like and expected a much better room considering it was supposed to be an executive kind room and I had booked it way in advance.
There was part of the bath panel missing. Thank god I always take my own body was as there was none in the bottle on the wall and the cleaner must not have noticed the big blob of conditioner on the bottle.
When we arrived the room number on the key envelope was wrong so when we arrived at the room we thought was ours, it didn’t work and there was someone already in the room. So we had to go back to reception and ask what was happening and the reply was sorry that’s not your room number this is.

Really disappointed with our stay.

Was put in a room with no view, except for a roof and air vents. The TV didn’t work at all, said no signal. Air conditioning didn’t work properly during the night which made the room uncomfortably hot but started to work in the morning which was strange?

The room given was an adjoining room which we could hear the people next door very clearly which made us feel uncomfortable to cough or make noise etc. i doubt the hotel was at capacity so unsure why you put people in these rooms right next to each other.

No buffet breakfast as advertised and had to select from menu which was not explained when breakfast was booked at check in.

I have been to this hotel in the past and it was fine, this visit was very different.

Leonardo Hotel in Aberdeen, a supposed 4-star establishment, provided an awful two-night stay for a family of 2 adults and 3 kids who had requested two interlinked rooms two months in advance.
When we went to get our room keys from reception, we found out that no one had read our message asking for interlinked rooms, and the only ones available were on the 3rd floor with a double bed and on the 4th floor with two beds, splitting our family by two floors.
The room on the 3rd floor was the worst, noise and cleanliness-wise. It was right across from the stairs and elevators, so we heard people coming back from nights out at all hours, which kept waking us up. Plus, there was only one double bed for one adult and two kids. When I called reception to ask how three of us were supposed to sleep in one double bed, their response was basically, \"How were we supposed to know?\" from both the reception staff and later the manager. It was pretty easy to know, actually, because the room was booked for one adult and two kids, as my booking clearly showed. If the staff had done their job right, they would've seen there were three of us. So, we ended up with an extra folding bed that looked awful and had a terrible mattress for someone to sleep on for two nights.
The WC was unsanitary, with urine-stained walls, a dusty toilet paper holder, moldy shower fixtures, dirty taps, stained shower curtains, and a filthy hand wash dispenser.

Great breakfast choice. Check in & out easy. Had an accessible room which we didn’t book, lots of space in the room but bed was small double, could have done with king size bed but that’s our choice. Could also hear noise from next room through the connecting door, coughing and hair dryer. Easy access for parking, railway station and shopping. Would stay again but request king size bed if available or twin beds.

Not exactly the nicest place to stay at. However, it was connected to the train station and shopping center. The bathroom was too small and the shower head had some kind of black mildew on it. When I tried to clean it, it fell off and broke. The staff were very responsive and fixed it the next day. However, the black stuff was still on it. The breakfast buffet was average.

From someone who stays in hotels a lot with my job I have to say this hotel has it all, the staff can not do enough for you from the lovely reception staff who held our luggage and placed medical stents in the office so we didn’t have to carry them around, to Lewis on the bar, all super efficient and friendly. Room clean and lovely with a great view of the city.

Before arrival I was asked to complete on-line check-in, on arrival they had no record of my booking via hotels.com or any online check-in!
I ordered bar food in the evening that then didn’t arrive and when I asked a staff member he was extremely rude!
The room was large, great view! Out dated bathroom, room had very poor lighting and in a 4 star hotel I would have expected a more modern tv for media streaming etc.
on check-in I paid for late check-out but then the phone in my room was ringing at various times where staff were then reminding me I should have checked out by 11am.
So overall the organisation and customer service was not what I would expect!

Check in staff were very welcoming and same on check out. The windows in the room connected in a corner window to window. There was a leak of water running down with the heavy rain onto the sill. The heating was on when we arrived for awhile, then cold there after. It would not reset. We had a few small flies coming up the drain in the sink....it needs a clean.
Breakfast was very sparse. Had to ask a member of staff who wasnt the most pleasant for bread and sausages. ... After putting everything else on my plate she said chef says sausages will be 10 mins, which was almost 20mins. The staff seemed more interested in talking to each other than clean the abundance of tables that needed cleaned which ours needed on arrival. They seemed short staffed for the volume of guests. Fruit was sparce and bananas were brown. Yoghurt was like slop....one choice, mixed in a bowl....it was lilac with bits floating in it.....tasted awful. For the price it certainly was not worth paying for. Definitely wouldnt have it again, would eat elsewhere. I have stayed here on numerous occassions as its ideally situated but its getting less appealling im sorry to say

I had foolishly stayed at another establishment before but came back to Leonardos. It's nice and telaxing and i enjoyed a good dinner. Good access to the shopping centre and station. I was away too early for breakfast but I've had that before and there's a good choice. I'll be coming back again

Everything was great including superb Leah on check in bar staff and breakfast. Only an observation and not a criticsm but we were touring scotland and expected scottish breakfast irems. No haggis. lorne sausage, tattie scone which was a disappoinment. However breakfast was nevertheless good.
