It was a wonderful stay. Nice walk to the beach. They have been fixing up the place and you can tell. It is improving. Hope it continues to improve. Close to Safeway. Had coffee but I am a tea drinker so wished there was some. However I bring my own as this is common. Staff was nice. Would definitely stay again.

Dog friendly, clean, and affordable. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Easy walking distance to beach, coffee, and dining. There is no air-conditioning and our rooms window opened to the back parking lot which was VERY noisy at night. I would recommend staying at back of hotel along the river. Can't complain though, great value for the money.

Parking was tight in the lot and not enough spaces for all of the rooms. No street parking anywhere near the building. The room and bedding were clean but rundown. The building had a fresh coat of paint that didn't hide the old and outdated nature of the structure well. No breakfast on site. Front office staff friendly but not overly concerned about the welfare of the customers. The grounds were dirty, rundown and unkept with an old toilet sitting in plain sight by the building. There was trash and homeless bedding on the property in plain view from our river view balcony which was a real turnoff. Overtly impaired homeless people were wandering the grounds at night raising safety concerns for us customers especially with hotel staff leaving the office and grounds unattended after 10pm. This place is a bargain basement hotel at a nice hotel rate. I'll stay at a better location next time for sure.

The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean. They had a coffee maker but not a Keurig. Just for those who do keurigs instead of ground coffee. There's no conditioner for your hair, so bring your own. Only reason I didn't do five stars is because of the maid. She banged on our door really really loud at 9:00 in the morning. Then proceeded to talk very loudly outside the rooms. Otherwise, It was a good stay and would absolutely stay there again.

Great place to stay and affordable! Its only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Place was clean and the bed was really comfortable, I would stay there again! Only thing id say needs improvement is the water temp, hot water does not last more than 10 minutes, so I had to be quick.

I recently stayed at this hotel and overall the stay was okay, but one major issue was the hot water. After one person took a shower, the hot water would stop completely and we had to wait about 20 minutes for it to heat back up again before the next person could shower. It was very inconvenient, especially for multiple guests staying in the room. I hope management can improve this for future guests.

Clean room for a quick stay. Did notice some mold around the back door caulking, assuming from the rainy weather. Can tell from the smell of the room that it’s pet friendly. Overall it was a good stay, would use again. Only 10 mins from cannon beach too

We loved our stay there, so I gave 5 stars! They are one of the best value stays in the area, and our dog enjoyed it as well (the dog fee is paid at check in, not through Expedia). The beach is close enough to walk to if you don't mind a 10-15 minute walk. FYI, there is no AC, but a fan was available in the room.

For the past ten years i’ve booked a room at Coast River when I come to Seaside, OR. The three times i’ve come this year alone my experience has been not so great. From a bathroom door that didn’t close to a clean room with dirty towels on the floor instead of clean ones. I tried to use the shower this morning before packing up and checking out and I had no hot or warm water. The quality of this place has gone down over the years. I’ll be looking for a new location to stay moving forward.

Wife and I stayed two nights. It was ok. Did have an issue with the hot water running out in the shower after 5 mins and there is an ant issue. They were all over the counter. Told the desk and had maintenance take care of them. They didn't show the next night.

Parking lot is tight - at least by the river facing rooms. If each guest isn't carefully in the lines - the rest of the line is crowded and it's near impossible to get your door open enough to in and out of your vehicle.

We booked two rooms and was pleased that it was next to each other. When we entered our first room, we were immediately welcomed with a weird smell (like someone was smoking mixed with cleaning products). We left to go to the next room and it too had a weird smell (leftover food with stinky socks). It was gross but we opened the window and turned on the fan to let some air out. Overall, it was okay place. The staff was quickly and helpful. The parking was good.

The room was clean, the front desk people were so nice, and it was a great value. The area felt safe, and the river view was nice. The parking had only 1 way in and out, but the spots were directional, which made it hard to get out if the lot was full. We struggled to find a spot if we came back late. It might have been my bad, but I found it strange that the staff had me grab towels to exchange and other items. I would've rather they just asked to come in and do their thing.

Very neat and clean. The shower was great, it had great water pressure, not like most hotels that barely has a trickle comong out and it takes you 3 times as long to shower. The bed was great. I would definitely stay again if i am ever in Seaside again.

The manager was the sweetest! Her house keepers were terrible, there was hair all throughout the bed and hairs in the shower! No pool no hot tub no AC unit and only a very small shower. The only good thing about this place was the hot water and the comfortable hairy beds!! Is this was priced lower I wouldn’t even complain but when you charge good hotel prices the people expect good hotel quality!! Lesson learned

The room did not lock from outside. I felt that the staff knew about it and instead of fixing the lock keeps the room in business.
Instead of going to a resto as a whole family we had to leave someone in the room and get food to go

Rooms were very noisy as in the made a lot of noise. You could also hear everyone’s business. When I requested extra pillows I was told there were none whatsoever. We will not be staying again.

I really enjoyed the view and the kitchenette room that I got! I was a little disappointed when I found a fake nail in my bed when laying down. When I brought it up to the front desk they just said “sorry” and shrugged. The front stovetop didnt work either!

I booked a last minute stay and this was the only reasonable price (2bdrm apt 2king bed ) it’s listed as sleeps 4 but there’s actually a bed down stairs and a pull out couch so it could easily sleep 10. The apartment was HUGE (2story) and the kitchen had everything you could (pots/pans/plate/utencil/cups) we booked for 5 guests and they gave 6 sets of towels. There were a few concerning creepy parts suck as a closet with a square cut out on the floor which looked like it was accessible and the door to the closet locked from the inside and upstairs there’s an attic in the walk in closet with the lock on the inside of the closet and the door would not close shut also the window in that same room does not close so they at least need to put in a stick like they do for the balcony

I was hopeful about staying here from reading past reviews. The construction guy in the truck outside my window all day was frustrating.. no river view.. people yelling in the street.. peel and stick floor was not stuck to the foundation.. very loud.. loud guests above and below. Hubby loved the soft bed.. my body hated it. 😆 jetted tub was nice! Fridge was clean and nice sized but wouldn't suction closed. Nowhere to set clothing in bathroom for showering..

Arrived and instantly felt put off by the group of vagrants in the parking lot. When we asked about the vagrants and issues they said oh yeah, and lots of issues with drug users. Needless to say we left.

This was an overnight staying, and we booked a king bed river view, which gave kids an extra space to play around.

In the office, you can borrow board games and bring to the room.
The small kitchenette was convenient to fix meals for kids.
Overall, we were satisfied with our staying.

The mattress was very, very hard. I have gone camping in my earlier days and have slept on the ground, and the ground was more comfortable than the bed at the hotel. I’m also a person with a disability, and there were no handicap rooms available. And I had to climb rickety stairs to get to the second level.
