The hotel was undergoing renovations but once inside my room there was not any noise from it. The bed was comfy and the ocean view was everything! All of the staff were kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location with free parking, next to the beach, right on broadway. The property is under renovation which is a good thing. Downside is renovation work is being done from early morning to dark. If you stay, try to get a room on the beach side. There was no mention of the construction work when booking.

Too many issues to list. 3hr check in time, no air conditioning, and multiply people trying to access my room in the middle of the night were the highlights. Front desk called multiple times in the middle of the night about the room possibly being double booked. Was happy to check out early the next day and would never stay there again.

The room was a good thought a little kitchenette but the building is old and rooms access is a bit odd. I am disapointed because I would have liked not ro have staired at the roof wall while trying to enjoy the balcony. There is no aircondtioning and my stay until late evening was muggy and hot.

The flies were everywhere and when I requested extra pillows the forgot until I went down to get them and when I asked for towels they never showed up until I went the next day to request some. The bed was so uncomfortable and the room was so hot the ac was not properly working.

Property under construction- we didn’t know this until we got there. The hot tub wasn’t in commission. Staff were great, they are the only reason for good feedback. Bathroom floor in our room was dirty.housekeeping starting knocking on doors at 9a to clean rooms. On vacation it would be nice to be able to sleep in without hearing banging on doors from down the hallways.

This was a beautiful property and worth the money to stay at for the positives. The positives. Tara was an exceptional front desk clerk. She was patient, nice and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome on our family vacation. Dona was also very exceptional in helping. The negative was a front desk clerk named Ashley. In my opinion she was a narcissistic psycho. Four days in a row and had to deal with her. She was petty, snappish and plain rude. After reporting her she went from this to being absolutely fake and condescending. One morning I specifically asked for the manager and she insisted she would be the one to help. The final straw was that after suffering an episode with gastritis and not being able to make it to my room, I asked to be let in the bathroom. She was busy. I was patient. After ten minutes of excruciating pain and trying not to throw up she suddenly remembered there was a bathroom for immediate use that she was not needed for. This was as viewed as retaliation. I’ve never been so disgusted in my life and had worked hard to avoid her. These annual
Vacations are special for my son who lives with an incurable brain tumor. Every summer matters more than the last. This woman tainted this and trashed it! Why!? Why be a despicable human being to someone you don’t know!? This negative despite the positive has ensured we will not be returning to this hotel or seaside for vacation in the future. I thank Tara, Dona and Randy. Not Ashley who needs to grow up

The woman who checked us in was really nice and helpful. We booked a room for three but then it only had one queen bed in it, the woman at the desk moved us to a nice room with two queen beds at no extra charge. It was really nice. Thank you!

The hotel is currently under renovation. They are currently putting a new front façade on the outside and starting on the inside. They said it should be done by next year. It is a complete makeover of the hotel. It is in a great location and we had a beautiful view of the beach. We enjoyed our stay there. We will be back.

Construction was extremely loud and unpleasant. Starting at 8am each morning, my view was blocked by workers on the roof and I could overhear everything from loads of heavy materials being dropped on the roof to someone’s speaker phone calls.
The location is nice but do not book until their million dollar “upgrades” are finished.

The hotel currently is being remodeled. Staff is accommodating and helpful. Maintenance helped us solve our problem with the new heating system. The location is spot on in the middle of everything. Everything is walkable.
We enjoyed our stay there. I’ve been going here since the 1980’s. What is also very nice is to have laundry machines very convenient specially with having to wash stuff on a trip.

Stayed on the fifth floor in about the middle of the building. The view was wonderful. The balcony was good size and the adironac chairs were very comfortable.

The rooms are a little older, but well maintained. The front desk staff were all very pleasant. They are doing a little bit of remodeling, but overall the property was well maintained and comfortable.

One thing that I liked is that it's very close to the occean, but the property it was in remodeling and it was a lot noise due to construction, hot tubs it was out service, they offered breakfast in the website but there it was nothing, in fact there it was only two bottles of coffee.

We were on our honeymoon, and we are a neurodivergent and friendly couple. The lady at the front desk, Tara, was wonderful. But OMG her manager Paige was loudly talking to Tara during the entire check-in and it felt so awkward and uncomfortable. Paige was repeatedly telling Tara what to do, and it was clear that Tara had the knowledge already and was professional about it. Paige talked loudly about other customers and disrupted our late checkout by calling our room. I had to answer while naked.

This was a fine hotel going through renovation. It was noisy in the afternoon. The balcony was disappointing as the view was hampered by the roof for the restaurant and very low deck chairs.

It wasn’t the hotel’s fault that our neighbor decided to crank up the television at midnight, but it woke us and kept us awake for an hour!

The room was spacious. The bed was comfortable but noisy.

There was no coffee in the lobby. Just hot water.

I liked the view and the walk ability to the beach. Our room was big and had everything needed to make a meal in case we didn’t want to go out. It was comfortable and quiet.
We had things in our room that were not working properly and couldn’t get much help so we just dealt with it. Which was unfortunate with the price we paid.
There was a lot of renovations going on so I would try to stay another day when things weren’t so torn up and if there was better customer service.
The only thing I would say for sure that needs changing is the staff should be more helpful and more friendly. People pay a lot of money to stay so if you don’t want to work in that kind of facility then find a different type of job.

I love that there is an equipped room with oven/stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and dishwasher with a great view of the Pacific! I understand that this inn is going through renovations. So the building does not look pristine. I highly recommend if you’re ok with the renovation and outdated look. We will be coming back here!

Great location! Room was a little outdated but clean. Walls are super thin and if you are on any lower floor you can hear everything going on so bring earplugs! Right on the beach and had many walkable shops and places to eat. Overall had a great time, just be prepared for a less quiet spot.

Staff was super nice. Good location. My only complaint is that the people above us were so loud (we were on floor 2) .. and they probably didn’t even know they were being so loud. I went to the front desk at 3am (the gal working was super nice) and she went and told them to keep it down. But they were still so loud.. I think it’s just an old property with thin walls/floors. We could hear the people even through the sound machine we brought. Disappointing when we paid so much.

We got poured on and we're able to dry our sweatshirt in the dryer on our floor which was helpful before my daughters game. Location was wonderful coffee shop across the street and dinner in the same building and right in the middle of all the action. Will definitely stay again!

To begin with, the property was undergoing renovations, which I was not made aware of prior to arrival. Had I known, I may have reconsidered booking.
We also experienced several issues during our stay:
* The sliding door in our room barely functioned and required two people to open it. After contacting the front desk, maintenance came to look at it and stated the wheels were rusted. He said there was nothing he could do unless the entire door was replaced, and then left without resolving the issue.
* After returning from a long day out, our room keys suddenly stopped working. One member of our group had recently undergone hip replacement surgery, so standing outside the room waiting was especially difficult. The front desk told us the keys must have been too close to our phones, but they had not been stored near phones at all.
* Later that evening, we went to use the hot tub only to find it completely drained. There had been no notice at check-in and no signage indicating it was out of order. Additionally, the pool area floor was visibly dirty.
* That same night, there was loud pounding music coming from a nearby room well past midnight. We called the front desk and were told someone would address it. The music briefly stopped, then resumed and continued until around 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep.
* While any one of these issues alone may have been manageable, the combination of all of them resulted in a very frustrating and uncomfortable stay.

The view is amazing. The room is nice. However, there were just little things that needed fixing. Door in bathroom was chipped and chewed on?? And then holds in the bathroom wall. Our balcony was dirty. The view was amazing though. Room 502. If it was slightly less $$$ it would have been 5 stars. But for the rate.... it needed a little more \"sparkle\". Perhaps after all the construction, it will be better.

The rooms are okay. Couldn't figure out how to use the thermostat.
The fireplaces were not working, hot tub was out of service and also the sauna. It was never posted that those were not working. If I knew the hot tub was not working, I think I would have booked somewhere else if I knew the hot tub was not working.

It was perfect, everything was going so good. Staff members went out of the way to help us with assess ability shower chair and anything else we needed. Except next day there wad pool incident and pool was down for all three days. Lots people were disappointed about it but it was an accidence that happened. Otherwise view, beach, rooms, balcony were perfect. One more thing they should add to all rooms is AC. Very important for summer months. When it will be nice for the beach but you will need a AC in the rooms.

Alot of potential and nice staff. The rooms were not cleaned very well at. Coffee spills on walls among other things. Floor turned white socks black if walked on them. Pool was closed all weekene \"being cleaned after an incident\" but no one started cleaning it until 2 days after that.

Reserved an ocean view room and got partial view. The pool and hot tub were down upon arrival and my disabled husband was miserable due to not being able to get any relief in the hot tub. The pool and hot tub were the reason we chose this location. The bathtub in our room didn’t girls water. The staff was amazing. The fact that we paid full price for a hotel and could not access or use all the amenities that we paid for is disappointing and a waste of money. We will not be staying at this location again.

First, I suppose I should list the good.
1. New towels. It's always nice to have new towels.
2. New sheets, covers and duvets. It's also always nice.
3. The bathroom was clean on check-in. another plus always.
4. The desk staff works hard, within their control, to run a nice hotel. I also saw a maintenance staff member respond promptly to a room where the guest could not get their fireplace lit.
Now the not so good.
1. The hotel is in the middle of remodel, so, there is a lot of noise. Expedia never mentioned it, and the hotel's own page had a momentary flag flash on the screen, that could be easily missed.
2. To say the hotel is not ADA compliant is a vast understatement as it was made in I expect the early 60s. There are so many things to list but include:
a. Narrow hallways .
b, No grab bars,
c. No peep hole, in the door,
d. On the upper deck of the parking structure, there is a dangerously steep stairway and a missing guardrail.
3. The way the hotel is operated by the owner(s) is deplorable. Complaints include:
a. Upon arrival, the room was too hot for us. This hotel has never had air conditioning installed.
b. The rooms are NOT made up daily, when we asked about it, we were told, the rooms are only cleaned after the third day, because of covid. we had to get new towels from the desk.
There is no breakfast served also because of covid.

We ended up leaving a day early because the people above us for two nights in a row were so loud you couldn’t sleep called the front desk. They told me that they could give them three warnings and kick them out. We just wanted them called and said hey FYI, you’re being a little loud. I did get reimbursed for the one night. The front desk told me the front manager would also reimburse me most likely for the other nights and he called me and said he would give me only 20% back if he would’ve even credited me for two nights we would’ve gone back, but I don’t think we’ll ever be back to that hotel when there’s so many good ones to choose from in Seaside.

Very old and run down. Room doors falling apart, beds hard and really just not worth the price. For what we paid, we expected a beautiful balcony view. Not the top of the restaurant that the seagulls congregate and leave their mess. Walked out on the balcony to a messy, smelly mess. Construction on the outside should have been an automatic discount. Loud, blocking access etc. property should be giving notices at time of reservation. Pool dirty and elevator is sketchy. Made loud noises and jerked. We ended up using stairs after it stopped for a few seconds leaving us stuck inside. Definitely needs the 3 yr project that one of the construction guys informed us. Sad the property is false advertising. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone unless they cut their prices to reflect the terrible conditions this old place is. Staff is great though! Kudos to them for trying to make up for it all!
