Popular Hotel right on Canon Beach, clean rooms with standard amenities. Great beach access and lots of overlooks to drive to within 20 minutes.
Main Parking lot can fill up quickly.
Would stay here again when traveling.

Our room was very small however the Inn is very close to a grocery store. Perfect beach. The woman that checked us in was amazing and helpful.
Our problem happened when we were not notified about a planned power outage. My husband woke up when his c pap machine stopped working. When he went down to the desk after midnight - he was told that guests had been notified. This didn’t check out because there were other guests inquiring about it while he was there. When I asked about it the next morning - I was told that sometimes when guests book through third parties they can’t be contacted .
Then I was told that there were a lot of guests to notify. They did credit us a 1/2 night. Maybe signs on the elevators might have been a good way to notify guests .

Great place for families. Not so much for a romantic getaway. Older well maintained property but not updated much. We had a functioning but very old kitchen. We had an ocean view but blocked a lot by resterant and parking lot. Wonderful place for kids.

Well maintained older condos but not updated. Some people are owners. Amazing view of the water from my 3rd story room. Nice bar for a drink. They have a crab dock where people put down traps and then they have an outdoor kitchen where people boil their catch. It was clean and nice bedding. No AC but it's cool/cold here in the summer so we opened the windows. OK shower head but clean.

This inn was a very pleasant surprise. We had an amazing beachfront suite with three beds and two bathrooms. The beach was set up with great little spots for an evening campfire, which we highly enjoyed. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have nightstands with chargers on both sides of the bed. If we ever return this way, we would definitely stay again!

I would not stay here again. I missed this hotel didn’t have AC. There was a box fan but not enough if it’s over 65 as the room was hot. There was a city wide planned power outage that NO one at the hotel told us about. We woke in the middle of the night because our room was so hot with the fan not working because no power we also had food in the fridge that had we known we would have planned accordingly. The cable didn’t work to our tv and it was locked down so you could not check settings yourself. Bed was hard and pillows were horrible. The walls supper thin… we could hear the kids splashing in the bath next door to us… you shouldn’t be able to hear water splashing through walls. The pipe on our sink broke so water was everywhere. Not enough parking for all the guests. Lots of cars parked in non parking spots because of that. It is convenient to beach and on and off the highway so it’s a bummer not to want to go back.

In my opinion, the pictures online misrepresent the property. It is comfortable, but much more tired looking in person. You are paying for the location-which is beautiful-but there’s nothing very remarkable about the property.

Good location and friendly staff. My only complaints were a small amount of black mold where the shower wall meets the shower, and the body wash dispenser in the shower was completely empty. Other than those issues, the stay was pleasant.

The Inn was spacious and accommodating to our party of 6. The suite we stayed in had two bathrooms. It feels like a hotel, but also a condo unit that people own?
We arrived and settled into our rooms but within ten minutes a hotel staff member knocked on our door to ask us to quiet down. My children are 9,16,19 and 21 no one was running around. For the rest of the stay I was terribly self conscious about anyone even walking too loudly. It’s very close to the beach and Haystack Rock is within view.

Our stay was fantastic. The rooms were clean and roomy. It was nice to have the kitchen. The beach access was so convenient. We enjoyed breakfast at the hotel. Service was fast and food was good. We had a beach view room on the first floor. We had a private patio and enjoyed the sunset. The resident bunnies were adorable too.

Location was great if you want beach access, but it’s too far to walk if you’re wanting to go downtown. Very quick and pretty drive to the shops, though! And right across the street from a market and park. Staff were friendly, room was clean, bed was comfy. It still blows my mind that $200/night is a good deal, but that’s what we paid here (cheapest place I could find) and we would probably stay again. For the price, it’d be nice to get a breakfast, but I know that’s not the norm now.

We just stayed there for a week and plan to go back again in a few months. The inn was terrific, clean, well kept but most of all the staff was so helpful!

Additionally, Cannon Beach was a great place to stay and we loved the atmosphere!

Our room was very small compared other hotels we stayed in during our Oregon vacation. Photos in the listing showed wonderful views, ours was of the back of an adjacent building, with no notation of that in the listing.
Staff were helpful and courteous.
Bedding was adequately comfortable , but not a wow.
Location was good. Parking challenging.

My husband and I stayed in the standard queen room without an ocean view.
The room was small, but it's updated, cozy, and perfect for two people. The bed was very comfortable. I really like the light up mirror above the desk, which was great for getting ready while my husband showered. There's also a bench with coat hooks, which was nice for hanging coats and beach towels. The were reading lights above the nightstands in addition to the lamps. There are also USB outlets above each nightstand; one regular plug and one for phone cords. This was handy for my husband's CPAP machine. The location and beach access were amazing!
There were a few minor things we didnt like. The room was very warm and there's no AC. We had the heat off and our window open, but the room didn't cool down much. My sister stayed in a standard King room and had the same complaint. The weather was in the low 50°'s at night, so it wasn't hot outside at all.
The water pressure is high, so the shower was a bit abrasive and created a draft that pulls the shower curtain into the shower. The curtain sticks to your body while you shower if you don't pin down the middle. It would be better if the shower curtain had magnets in the middle rather than just at each end.
It was a busy weekend, so the parking lot was completely full at night. If you leave, you may not have a spot when you return. Curb spots were also limited.
Overall, we liked the hotel enough to stay again, just not during hot weather.

Beautiful property in a gorgeous location! The room was well-furnished, the bed was amazing, and the bathroom large. We could see the ocean waves from bed. There are staircases directly from the property to the beach.

As for staff, ask for Demian. He was very kind and accommodating!

DO NOT USE EXPEDIA TO BOOK THIS PROPERTY! While the location of the beach and Haystack Rock are great and the only reason that this property deserved 2 stars, we had several issues and the hotel staff was unable to do any type of compensation due the fact that we booked through Expedia. Our room rate was way out of sync with what the property delivered. We booked a deluxe ocean view room and we received a view of the ocean but more accurately a view of the vacation homes next door. Our room came with a Murphy bed which is not what I expected for the price and an operable fireplace. Then dust was so thick behind the bed (which you can easily see as the bed remained in the down position) that if I was medically compromised, I would have even greater concerns. After several calls to the front desk that went unanswered, I went out in the rain to find out why our fireplace was not working. A maintenance man eventually showed up just prior to us going to bed and he stated that the wind blew out the pilot light. He had a hard time restarting it and the pilot was on high...almost as if the fireplace was still on which may be why it was turned off. I asked to speak to management prior to our departure, but no one was available but I was assured that they would reach out to me as soon as possible, It's been several days since we checked out and I have not heard from them. The location mandates a higher price, but the entire product was poor and not worth the money.

Walls are thin and they are a pet friendly place so we did hear dogs barking in other rooms. Overall, it was still a good stay…we just didn’t get any sleep!!

First off the location of the hotel is amazing. Being able to walk right down onto the beach worth staying here. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. However it did have a shared door which wasnt an issue but there were a few moments where it felt like we were sharing the room with our neighbors. Minor problem for an otherwise nice stay

Wonderful place with walking access to beaches and food. Only bummer was we didn’t know about the $35/pet fee per night. This brought our total up another $140 for 2 nights. I searched for a fee on Expedia before we went so it was a shock when we arrived.. Also, our pet friendly room was far away from the pet area for them to relieve themselves. We had to cross the parking lot with 2 puppies. Hope to come back when the puppies do not need to go out every hour. I would highly recommend this hotel nonetheless.

I absolutely love staying at the Tolovana Inn. It is a beautiful property, and right on the beach! You can walk for miles, or just to Haystack Rock. There are benches around where you can sit wand watch the beautiful sunsets. Everything is clean and well maintained, my room was comfortable and well laid out. I only have 2 minor complaints, 1) my room was a little noisy, I could hear my neighbors coming and going, but nothing that impacted my sleep. 2) the onsite restaurant, Mo’s isn’t very good. The are nice and friendly, service was fine, but the food wasn’t good. However, there are several good restaurants with minutes of the property.

The staff was friendly and helpful. There was coffee/tea/hot beverages available in the lobby. The beachfront location is great! There's also a supermarket directly across the street and a Moe's restaurant next to the hotel. All good.
We happened to be staying in Building 2, which was in the process of being repaved. Loud and smelly. The person above us decided a little after 5 AM to get his 2000 steps in. We heard them all. We couldn't figure out how to divert the water from the tub spout to the shower head. We twisted, pushed and pulled on every available knob and handle. The washcloths came in handy.
The bed and the room were comfortable. I would recommend staying on the top floor with shower instructions upon arrival. They probably won't be paving the parking lot soon, so ...
