Great location and easy access to the beach. We stayed in a king/sofa room. I was very disappointed in our room for the $250+ price tag—I would compare it to a motel 6 and save your money. Bathroom floor and wall had what we believed was fresh dog poop in the grout which we cleaned up ourselves. With all the remotes not one turned on the television and no instructions were in the room. The cover on the heat panel had mold and the bathroom ceiling fan was filthy. No air conditioning, so I definitely would not recommend staying during the summer months for sure.

The staff was the highlight! They were Amazing, from the time we arrived until we left. This was a bday trip for me. I brought a cake and they were able to accommodate holding it in a frig for a couple days.
The room was older but clean. Only issue i could see was with the carpet being old. I felt safe and loved that I was right on the beach.

The view of the beach in the location of the property were excellent. The property needs some TLC and shows signs of wear and tear.
Hot water for bathing is far from hot. The kitchen was well provisioned for cooking.

I had a room on the beach and it was amazing! I could sit there and just listen to the ocean. The room was on the smaller side but enough room for me and my dog. Having the kitchenette made it so nice to get up and have breakfast in my room. I will definitely stay there again.

Was on the boardwalk and next to the strip which was very convenient. Room was not that great, clearly patch worked paint, carpet thresholds were running, caulking in bathroom was peeling, and outdated. Finally, with the living room couch unfolded into a bed it made the entire room feel pretty cramped. Speaking of cramped, the parking lot is compact for even compact cars.
Oh forgot, it did have a stove/oven and dishes/silverware which was nice!

The staff is friendly, and helpful, the property is well kept, and the room was clean and had all of the amenities. We have spent more money on other accommodations that were more spacious, this room was a little more cozy, but otherwise provided everything the more costly properties provided. We enjoyed the cozy room in December with the weather so cold and it was so warm inside. The spa tub (single person) is large and relaxing.
The location is just a block off of the main street with its restaurants, shops and activities. And the direct view of the beach and ocean without the dunes in the way, from the balcony or even from the couch and bed was a big plus. This property is on our list to go again.

The room was exceptionally clean and it was clear that the attendant had made the extra effort to have the space as presentable as possible. It’s not a “five-star” establishment, but the property is in an excellent location, and the amenities have character. Management is “making do” as best they can. I appreciated the regard. I would prefer an English-speaking staff. Part of the fun of a stay, anywhere, for me, is the connection with people providing the experience. Without it, the stay is much lonelier.

The room was clean and ample for our beachfront stay. The large whirlpool tub, thick cotton robes and in-room fireplace made the stay lovely. Though we didn’t use it, there was also a full size range and microwave along with a small fridge. We would definitely stay there again. There was a coast-wide power outage for 15 hours while we were there. I think the staff could have/should have been more communicative with us and for that I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars.

My week-long stay with my Pomeranian at The Inn at The Prom was wonderful! The staff was so helpful and courteous. It's a short block walk to downtown - perfect location! The view from my room was mesmerizing! The bed was super comfy. I loved the electric fireplace and the jacuzzi tub. The room looked & felt very clean!

The kitchen wasn't well stocked, but I had packed most of my own supplies. While the space was small, it didn't affect the enjoyment of my stay.

After all, the room was comfortable, the view was soothing, I got to have my dog with me, there was a cozy fireplace and a bubbling jacuzzi bathtub and I could walk to anywhere from there. What more could I ask for?

I'm so grateful to everyone who made this much-needed break from life so enjoyable!

Room was clean and cute, but small. Patio and view was great. Walls were thin. Could hear person upstairs taking loud steps and could hear snoring all night long in room next door.

Two men, which I assume were maintenance, stared into our room one morning. When we approached them, they said they were checking our screen. We should’ve received a request from the office for this so we weren’t startled.

I reached out to the office for all these issues and did not hear back. Poor customer service.

PROS property is close to the ocean, within walking distance of many restaurants and shops, kitchen comes equipped, remodeled units (though some of the art work is odd), housekeeping checks in daily, mostly clean, room to stretch out, comfy bed, big tub
CONS hair in bed and stained sheet, walls are very thin, fireplace didn't work, the only view is bushes up against windows, wall of the neighboring unit or parking lot; and difficult to reach front desk - had to leave a message and never received a call back

The room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom was clean but in need of some minor repairs. Noticed the trim around the tub was beginning to fall apart. Location was great and close to the beach which is exactly what we were looking for. Parking was tight but not impossible. Will probably consider staying there again on future visits depending on the price.

We love staying there. Next year I will ask for a side room not the middle room. Had a little trouble with our TV but they fixed it ( It took a little to long with people in our room) but it was fixed. And the only other thing is we have been staying there 3 years in a row and they have never replace the ice machine at the Inn you have to go across the street and that ice machine is very small. We will go back love the spot.

This was a very cute property. We did not have beach view, but were on the backside of the building. However, the walk to the beach was just across the street and we did have a beautiful view of the town. The room was big and an older room with lots of extras. We loved this property and would definitely stay there again.

Amazing location but the rest is so-so. We reserved a 1 bedroom suite. It was nice to have separated spaces but you had to walk through the bedroom to get to the bathroom so not practical. Unit was a cottage so it was on the first floor and our particular one was situated next to the outdoor fireplace and walkway where people strolled by to get to the beach so it was a little noisy and non-private. The unit itself was a little smelly and stuffy so we had to open the windows everyday to air it out. Walls required fresh paint. Microwave was in need of replacement and the faucet of the tub leaked badly. The cottage could be so much nicer with a little TLC.

The room smelled pretty strongly of bleach when we arrived...we had to open the slider to air it out. The double lock on the door was really flimsy and the fit of the door was terrible. If sleeping facing the door, you could see light on all four sides of the door. The location was great; the accomodations were cozy and other than that, it was perfect..

Terrible experience — do not recommend

We reached out to this hotel four times before checking in and never got a response — that should have been our first red flag. When we arrived, the front desk staff was friendly, but unfortunately, that was the only positive part of our stay.

Our room was in awful condition. The fridge didn’t work, the power kept cutting in and out, and only after checking in did we see another review mentioning bedbugs — incredibly unsettling.

The worst part: we were supposed to stay for two nights, but when we returned after our first day out, the entire hotel had lost power, and there was no communication or plan in place for how guests were supposed to handle it. The front desk staff told us they were heading home for the day, leaving us completely stranded.

We ended up having to leave that night and find another place to stay. No follow-up, no apology, and no refund — we’ve still heard nothing.

Completely unprofessional and not worth the risk. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

The room was very clean. Parking was very tight, but they had several options available. Getting to the room was not terribly convenient and there was no luggage cart available. For my family of four with lots of luggage it took us three trips. The view from our Oceanside room was spectacular. The staff was all very nice and the room was extremely clean. I would definitely stay again, especially because it’s in such a active area of town so there’s a lot to do.

We booked here for the teen granddaughters to be close to yhe beach. Nice place to stay but check in is across the street and up steps ... we could not park our full size pickup outside our cottage. Parking for full size vehicle meant walking around the corner to/from our truck. Normally not a problem walking but steps are a problem for me. A little heads up for anyone else having knee/hip issues.

The view is so worth it! The only question is I was told the policy is to have a decaf coffee in the room, but you have to ask for regular. We wonder why.

I called 2 weeks before our stay trying to secure that our room will be at the bottom floor because I am a disabled person. The man that answered the phone said we are secured to get the bottom floor and when I asked for his name he wouldn't give it to me and just said I called Inn at the prom and Gilbert Inn.
I called again a week before we go there and I spoke to Sofia and said she has me on room 7 and its a bottom floor. And since I have never been to the Inn before I have no idea what the room was like. The day we were on the way there I called and said we will be arriving late coz I was charging my electric car at Hillsboro area.
We finally arrived to our destination and my disappointment started. We were given a bottom floor alright but right outside our window was a bonfire area where people were gathered and noisy. We have 2 dogs and hearing those voices kept them barking. So even though it was so hot in the room we couldn't open the window/sliding door to let air in. I tried going to sleep but couldn't do so due to the voices outside and our dogs barking. I called the receptionist thru my cell phone coz apparently they don't provide a phone to call them directly and complained about the outside noise and she said she couldn't do anything about it. She said the bonfire closes at 10pm. Why for the life of me did they put a bonfire section there? And that part of our room is the only window available to let air in. We are never gonna come back to this place again.

Better view: rail was a bit of a problem

My friend is short in stature and loved sitting on the deck/terrace just watching the ocean and the people...the only problem was the railing: she was unable to see over it and had to stand most of the time. As we walked around we noticed that a lot of rentals had 'glass' railings that allowed a much better view...just a suggestion to consider. We will probably be back

The inn at the prom is a hidden gem. From the outside it's a little rough. Inside it is a well maintained hotel. Spotlessly clean. Very comfortable, huge jetted tub, fireplace, kitchen, separate bedroom, about 1 minute walk to the large very nice beach. Some rooms have the ocean view , mine didn't) Dog friendly with a nice pet area ,all for a reasonable price. Friendly staff is happy to help out. All in all a great stay! Highly recommend!
