I keep my expectations reasonable for motels, I know you get what you pay for, but this was bad. We stopped in the room, saw the stained sheets, ripped furniture, horrible smell, and we went and stayed somewhere else.

Pulled back the covers on one of the beds and there was Potatoe chip crumbs, hair and a black stain on the sheets. The shower wall had some type of crack in it and the shower floor itself did not look clean. There were bugs in the bathroom as well

There was a mini fridge and TV but aside from that the room felt outdated especially in the bathroom. No air vent for the bathroom, only two towels for a two bedroom which made no sense. No body wash was provided, only a bar of soap for hands. The beds are made of springs that are so loud every movement you make, makes a noise. The AC worked, and there was clean bed sheets but other than that the bed sheets were really thin and pillows were all different. Also they ask for a security deposit on site with cash only. Would only recommend if you are trying to be near the casino or temecula without paying a hefty price.

As a Fallbrook local, Ive stayed at one time or another all the hotels/motels our town has here. And if you ask anyone else from around here who has actually had experience with each one, they'll tell you that \"The Country Inn\" is without a doubt the lowest rated and consistently disgusting establishment they have ever been in. Ive stayed here on two separate occasions and I can assure you that you dont need that many visits to determine this is not a place anyone should ever stay.
None of the rooms at this establishment should be able to pass basic health and sanitary codes, but none are more indicative of this than their \"standard\" rooms at the back of the property. Most rooms dont have working locks, you'll be lucky if half the necessary bulbs are present or work, the shower/tubs & toilets all have black mold and usually hair, even before you find out there is no hot water. There are stains, smears & smudges on all the fixtures, walls, and floors. There is typically several holes in the walls that have just been crudely spackeled over but never painted or finished. There has never been a time I havent seen roaches in the rooms, and you can hear mice rustling in the walls behind the headboard. Pull off the covers to expose torn, tattered, and stained mattresses at least 30-40 years old, that have given me bed bug bites both times. Ive found old beer cans and even a meth pipe in the couch cushions, along with pet urine stains and hair on the armrests. DO NOT STAY!!

The new ownership of this place is awful, I’m very disappointed in the entire experience with everything going on. I was charged several times on several occasions for nights and deposits that I never even stayed . It shouldn’t have to come down to me reaching out to my credit card company in order to make things right. The staff and management should have customer service and something called common sense. As far as I’m concerned I’m surprised with the amount of termites and cockroaches that infest this unsafe and unsanitary shacks that it has the proper permits to be running at such a low rating . I think I should be refunded for my previous nights that they charged me for because I wasn’t even there . Immediately after their non-disclosed deposit I wanted my money back and they laughed and said that the rules were twisted in their favor and that there’s nothing I can do about it. Little did they know my voice and reviews go a long way.
Don’t let the same happen to you. If you want to get ripped off…stay here

Great stay as always. Some of the friendliest front office staff I have found anywhere. Cannot beat this place if you are on a budget- & it has a pool & spa & both have been available, with the spa working properly every time I've used it. Ive stayed at Fallbrook country Inn more than any other hotel, due to a great experience, friendly staff and being one of the absolute best places to stay without hurting my wallet

The room was so outdated, tub was super stained that we had to wear sandals to shower. The mattress was old with those 80’s springs and squeaky. The ceiling fan was full of dust, the white bath towels were stained. Only thing new was the flooring. The walls were patched up white everywhere in the room and not painted over to match the wal paint. $155 for one night that I couldn’t even sleep was the worst hotel stay ever.

It was a horrible experience from the start. Our reservation was successfully booked online as advertised with a king size bed however, when we arrived at front desk the man said he would give us a 2 beds room as a complimentary which i objected to. He then said the 2 beds were king so i said I'll take it then. Upon entering the room wife needed to use bathroom and noticed blood stains on floor, filthy smell inside the room, the beds sizes were full size not king size they looked very old and smelled dirty. Wife was curious on how the inside of the bed looked and was very disgusted after what she saw. We both agreed not to stay in that room so proceeded to go back to front desk and politely asked for what we reserved online the man said i should stay in that room and disagreed to give us another room because he said he had no more king size rooms available. I immediately noticed he was very argumentative with us i then asked for a copy of the document i signed and he refused to do so. I asked for a refund and he showed no intentions to help Very unprofessional

Not What I Signed Up For!!

I was very disappointed with this accommodation. I spent the first 30- minutes killing flies in the room. The bed was hard and very high off the ground. Everything was very old and dilapidated. I didn't want to stay as soon as I saw the hotel.

Well worth the cost.

This was a nice room. It had an oversized closet, a kitchenette area, a couch and a comfy high back chair. The bed was high and comfortable. The bathroom was standard. I hope the remove the tubs, when you're both big and tall tubs suck. I wish the TV was a little larger. The bright colors were nice.

Nothing like the pictures. Place is really old furniture looks like it’s berly holding and bed sounded like it was about to break. We got moved to a second room the second night due to us finding a meth pipe in between the couch seats. And second room was more torn apart restroom shower was breaking and there was berly any water coming out of the shower head.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I usually leave wonderful reviews...but if this can save another family from experiencing it then that is good.

This motel was absolutely disgusting. I honestly don’t know if they even cleaned the room before we got there. We had to shower with our shoes on because the shower/tub was black and disturbing to look at. We removed all the blankets and slept in sleeping bags because the bed was so uncomfortable—it was indented from where people had slept before. There was hair on the bed, and even worse, we found a cockroach carcass in the bed.

The floor was so filthy that just walking from the bathroom to the bed once left my feet completely black. The previous guests even left a beer in the freezer—proof that housekeeping doesn’t bother to check anything. The calcium buildup in the bathroom was terrible. I honestly felt like we needed a hepatitis shot after staying here.

We didn’t complain because we had no extra cash to stay somewhere else, but for one night, this cost us $187! The only positive thing I can say is that the water was hot, and the water pressure was decent.

We couldn’t get out of there fast enough. I will be reporting this place to the health department because I don’t see how they’re still operating.

An amazing value, very spacious & comfortable room with large closet, microwave, small fridge. The staff member at the front desk was very friendly and efficient. I don't think the shower was dirty, its just a little bit older but everything else looked very clean. Could not beat the price and reasonable driving distance to escondido, Temecula, oceanside, etc. Enjoyed our stay here.

First impression…I should have walked right out as soon as I entered the lobby. The carpet was disgustingly filthy. The furniture in lobby was old, tattered and thrown together. No style or design. Not impressive or welcoming at all. Now here is the list for the room: 🤢

- [ ] Front step of motel room needs to be power washed. Dirty.
- [ ] Room was extremely hot and muggy when we entered.
- [ ] Fan in room had a layer of dust.
- [ ] Screen door had holes and glass sliding door was filthy…couldn’t even see outside!
- [ ] MOLD ☠️ around bathroom tub!
- [ ] Tub itself was filthy too…dark stains. Walls of tub enclosure looked like old dried greenish color shampoo-like substance running down.
- [ ] Only 1 of 4 light bulbs worked in bathroom.
- [ ] Wall hair dryer in room did not work…and room was supposed to be a deluxe room??!!
- [ ] Corners of all walls had dirt built up…needs a good deep cleaning with a powerful steamer.
- [ ] Roach in bathroom.
- [ ] Walls in entire room need to be thoroughly cleaned and painted.
- [ ] Floors need a good sanitary cleaning.
- [ ] Furniture was scuffed and stained.
- [ ] Bed sheets looked like they had dust particles.
- [ ] Lamp had layer of dust around power source.
- [ ] Curtains were haphazardly hanging on curtain rod…tacky.
- [ ] Room refrigerator “freezer” area did not work…did not freeze my ice packs!
- [ ] Motel would not give me a refund for the difference as the room rate for the 2nd nite came down $40+.

This is a hidden gem. The landscaping as well as the pool and jacuzzi is pristine. There is an area by the pool for bbqing and family or friends. Its quiet and a great location close to the heart of Fallbrook. There is a restaurant in front of the hotel and a bar across the street. You can easily walk to the liquor/covenience store across the street. I love it there and will be back. Its very reasonable rates and convenient location plus walkabilty makes it a 5 star for me.

Floors were not clean. Some portions of walls were spackled and not painted. Cracked toilet seat. Puddles of water on the floor because the fridge decided to defrost on its own. Kitchent and bathroom, let’s just say way too much paint missing. Bathtub was worn to point metal showing underneath. Over all very dirty and rundown. No business should want its customers staying in the state it was in. Room#123.

Overall it was ok but our TV had a werd thing foing on and it was fizzy with kines noving on the screen. We spoke to the lady who stated it was spectrum however we spoke ti the neighbor room who wasnt having the problem. Nobody came to fix the TV at all. I had two children with me so not having a tv caused for a rough two nights. The beds squeezed when you laid on them. However we did them replacing mattresses during our stay so thats a good thing. Other than that I didn't have a problem and everyone was nice. I have another reservation coming up and I hope they will have the TV issue fixed because I'll have three of my kids those days.

Great place for short stays but long term wouldn't suggest it as the bathtub was really dirty and the iron board was broken when we arrived. The patio however was really nice and gave is easy access to the pool and this was the best part. While it wasn't the cleanest place, there are definitely worst places and I didn't have a bad stay overall

On our first night we found several small roaches in the room. We also tired to watch tv but it wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi even with the correct password that was given to us. The wall outlets were visibility not well maintained, there were several outlets that were loose and we debated whether or not is was safe to plug something in.The second night even more cockroaches were visible and this time larger than the previous night. Not only were they in the restroom but they were crawling all over the room, did not make us feel comfortable taking anything back home.

Had a great cottage feel and atmosphere. The Italian restaurant on the same property was very good. I arrived in the evening and discovered the latch to the patio door to my room was broken. The manager came immediately and provided a stick to place in the door slide: problem solved and appreciated. Issues not addressed because I only had time for dinner and six hours of sleep were missing lightbulbs and a bathroom sink that was totally plugged up. Housekeeping should observe and address these issues. Oh well. I would like to stay here again. It was quaint.

Well the run is a nice size however the coffee pot was half full and still had old coffee grounds. A car for a flat tire and parked in our spot on front of the room and they proceeded to argue in the middle of the night and knock on our door at 3am. Needless to say we didn't get a great night sleep. The guy at the front desk was somewhat accommodating but seemed put out helping us.

Bait and switch. Don’t stay here.

When I arrived to check in, they said they didn’t have the room I had reserved so they were switching me to a different hotel with a similar room. It was late at night so I felt I had to take it assuming it would be “a similar room “. I go down the street to a totally grungy motel. I called and said the lights didn’t work and the chair was broken and I was not happy with the place. it’s not worth what I paid for the original reservation (should be half). They said they would call me back but instead sent someone to fix the light. It was late, so I stayed there, tried to get a partial refund for the night and they refused. Total bait and switch. I am very unhappy with the outcome. Don’t stay here.

The daily service was minimal and getting fresh towels was a real problem. The towels that were provided were stained and filthy. I use this property to house family coming in for Thanksgiving and it was just a complete disaster.

The towels had holes and permanent marker writing on it. There were hairs on the shower wall. So gross. Half of the outlets didn't work and one of the bedside lights didn't even have a bulb in it.
Being an old property and a bit rundown is understandable, but not being clean is no excuse.
