I loved the villas. They were very spacious and had all of the important amenities for my stay - microwave, stove with oven, coffee maker and full sized refrigerator. It even had kitchen items like pots & pans, dinnerware and tableware. The bathroom and bedroom was spacious and the living room was nice and quaint. I had a patio.

My villa was downstairs. I wish there was an elevator because my luggage was heavy.

I didn’t visit the store/market. I did visit Canyon Grille. The food was good but service was a little slow. My waitress and the greeter were super nice but it seemed like they were understaffed.

I liked the fitness facility. I don’t use the pool.

The outdoor seating areas were nice.

I visited their farmer’s market and it was excellent.

My overall stay was magnificent.

We Had stayed here for a wedding near the hotel we. Stayed for two days and the rooms we had were in excellent condition except for one room. we had the bathroom ceiling that had a leak but the staff upgraded us to an amazing luxury suite with all amenities, jacuzzi tube full kitchen two fire places and very large shower

we would definitely stay here again the property has about 4.5 acres, and they have multiple pools and golf course throughout the property

the check-in process was a little lengthly though and there’s not too many restaurants nearby the property or stores, unless you travel 20 min away

but the hotel has a restaurant with a decent breakfast lunch menu and anything you may need for the pools is on site as well its great for family’s with kids over all. 4-5 Stars

Everything closes super early. We got back from my daughter’s soccer tournament like around 4 or 5 and the waterslide was already closed. Stores close at 7 and nothing is near by. No store near by. There was a couple staff member walking around but didn’t interact. My daughter got yelled at for being a bag of chips to the pool area. The BBQ grill had no propane and when we called for one they never came out. Towels took forever to get to us. I pulled out the sofa bed and it was dirty with crumbs from who knows when. Also shower had writing on the glass door. It was a nice place to stay at and would stay there again but I’m hoping it will be better.

Loved the size of our two bedroom villa. It was a little outdated but well maintained. A lot of the smaller snack shops and other amenities were closed. The staff were really friendly. I did not like the 10 AM check out policy, but we were able to access the pools until 2 PM. Lovely gym facilities and changing rooms available.

Checking it was extremely difficult. I was there with our wedding party - we had about 20 rooms total. Everyone had a very difficult time checking in. It looks us an hour. And then after the long wait they tried selling everyone a timeshare. Obviously very short staffed.

We had a late check in at 5pm there was a line out the door so we decided to have dinner and come back to check in later. We came back at 8pm and the line looked the same by the time that we checked in. It was a whole hour waiting in line. I was told that we were going to get comped the resort fee of $75 and I just saw that I was charged the $75 resort fee.

We stayed here for a wedding weekend and suggested to our guests that they stay here too. I checked in 11:30 at night on Thursday and it took 25 minutes in line before I got checked in. We learned from numerous guests that it took up to 2 hours for them to check in… not great. The best part is that on our check out day, housekeeping knocked on our door at 9:40 am, we said we would be out at 10. We looked out the peep hole and realized she was standing there waiting. At 10 on the dot she knocked again. Frustrating that check in was so time consuming but they waste no time in kicking you out.

My check in supposed to be at 4 and the room was ready until 7pm… and it is incredible that with just a sorry it’s been super busy! The justification! I was with another two groups our room was not ready.. our schedule for dinner and everything was moved because of that. And the receptionist ask us to leave the room at 10am. With no consideration of the almost 4 hours of delay!!!

Our stay was enjoyable. The room was not the cleanest. We discovered carrots under the side table, several cobwebs in the corners of the room and the water in the bathtub trickled out.
The sheets were really clean and tucked in nice and tight. The coffee was stacked and nice to have in the morning. There was even creamer!
The pool was pleasantly heated, and there's so many choices of which ones to go to. Love that they had food available for purchase and a bonus. If you have children, they offer you sun lotions, glasses and little items for the sun for children.
The staff is fun and really kind. They really took the time to talk and explain answers to any questions we had.
All and all it was a good stay.

This is a great resort for a family or extended family stay-cation. With many pools, golf, a fishing pond, rec center for the kids, and daily activities, everyone can find something to do. Escondido is a quaint burb of San Diego with many cool breweries and wineries for the grownups. Would recommend to anyone with kids looking for a low key vacation of a week or less.

Property is well maintained and very clean. The wifi is not secured and I was told that that is going to be a major undertaking by the resort as they are going through renovations and upgrade. There's are activities for the entire family within the resorts, such as golf (unfortunately, I don't play golf), rec room (but the pool tables are very old and needs new felt and cue sticks are old), swimming pool water were warm enough to swim in.

We had a great time! The food choices weren’t the best, but we were well prepared and really came for a peaceful weekend, which was delivered. The only downside was the bug we found in our restroom and how long it took for us to get a response back, but we also understand there were a lot of people on the premises, which is why we are still giving it a great rating.

The staff were very friendly and the check in went very smoothly. The room was very spacious and clean. The view was beautiful from our balcony. The bed was very comfortable. This property has many different activities available but we had offsite excursions planned everyday so did not get a chance to try them. Our Hyatt Vacation Club rep Lauren was very helpful in setting everything up and making sure we were informed about upcoming events and shows. We enjoyed our stay.

The property is amazing with a lot to do. The major problem we had was with management. Over promising and under delivering. The shuttle were supposed to come every half hour but my family and others were waiting close to 45-60 mins. We had to call multiple times just to get someone to pick us up. There is a text service that is absolutely useless. Every time we called the front desk it would take 15-20 mins just to get an answer. The rooms were nice but we had a really bad ant problem and needed to be called three times to take care of. Most of the staff were helpful but the management was horrible. More issues than worth writing out.

If you dont mind me out in the middle of nowhere, way in the boondocks, windy road to get to this property. The staff should inform guest that the slides close at 4:45pm. Yeah and if you think of going to the big one thats off ways from the property because there is no security to get access, so many people that are not even guest of the property fill it up. How do I know because over 20 cars had tickets for not having the parking pass. So we go into the pool with the waterslides and thers is no were to sit. I would not stay here again. For the price find something more convenient to store and not that unnecessary drive.

Amenities were great. Pool near our room was zero entry and heated making it great for our toddler. Splash pad was alot of fun. Hard to get it to turn on sometimes. Room was nice. Check in was brutal! Waited hour and half in line to check in to then be directed to another desk to wait in line for a parking pass and try to be sold on attending time share presentation. 2 hours to check in after starting our travel day 5am to get there with a 2 year old wasnt fun. Was also told at check in that our room would be cleaned every 2 days. Didnt come to clean it until the 7th day of our 8 day stay. That was after us calling and requesting housekeeping twice. And didnt come until evening in the middle of us eating dinner. Had to request towels in the middle of our stay and took 2 hours to deliver them. Amenities made our stay great but place didnt seem to be ran well.

We loved staying at The Welk! The rooms are HUGE and perfect for our needs. They were clean and well stocked. I requested a room close to a pool and they were able to accommodate that. Everyone was very friendly, all the way down to security. The pools were nice and our kids spent hours and hours at them during our week stay. We paid for a cabana for 2 different days. I'm so glad that when I booked it I was told that we would get a bag with snacks and a pool toy because the next day, we checked into our cabana and the girl didn't give us anything. I mentioned it and she said, oh yeah we don't have the bags right now but here is 2 bags of chips and 2 pops. I mentioned a pool toy and she handed me mermaid diver toys. Then when we got our second cababa 2 days later, we received a bag with not only soda, chips but waters and a beach ball. I was shocked we were supposed to get water too. I mentioned this to the guy what happened 2 days before and he apologize. He also checked on us a couple times during the day, when the first day, nobody checked on us. Two very different experiences with the cabana's. We ate at the main restaurant only once. The food was fine but the wait time to get our food was LONG. We mostly ate in our room. A grocery store and costco are not far. I love the location, only about 35 min from LegoLand, 45 min from San Diego Zoo / Beaches. The grounds are beautiful, it was quite. The beds were comfortable. We didn't particpate in any extra

Best place for families to stay! We stayed at the villas on the green in what was more like a spacious 1 bedroom apartment. Clean, huge comfy bed, giant jet tub, well stocked kitchen, large balcony, and TVs in the living room and bedroom. I wish they had more information via email or the website about the property and amenities before arrival. There are several pools, a water slide, fishing pond with free fishing equipment, golf and free golf club rentals, activities like s'mores around the fire pit and trivia, a rec room, and restaurants on site. Super clean, very friendly staff, parking included, and beautiful natural surroundings. It was about 40min in light traffic to Legoland and 30 to the Safari Zoo park. 15-20min drive to nearest grocery store.
Cons: lack of information provided about the property and amenities and I found it near impossible to get a hold of the front desk/ concierge by phone and they take forever to respond to text requests. I had to call about a couple things before the trip and was on hold over 10 minutes 3 times I called and they didn't pick up any of the times we called from the room phone when they were there. They responded to the text messages through the number they provided about very simple things but not for more specific requests (we didn't have many). Though staff were super helpful and friendly when we did get a hold of them. I think they do timeshare presentations with incentives to attend but they weren't pushy at all about attending.

Activities at the pool were not that great. Need more imagination with pool games and prizes.
Otter pops are not very healthy and kids would rather have something memorable they can take home.
Front desk staff were hanging out I. The back office while checking in was over 30 minutes with one person behind the desk.
Pools and grounds are well maintained and beautiful.
Beds were fine but furniture not comfortable at all … needs an upgrade.
The Grill restaurant served my child a kids meal that was inedible… burnt to a crisp…she ate peanut butter and jelly at the villa out of desperation… I took pictures of it called and complained but no resolution.
Asked for a late exit on Friday was told to call in the morning as the request is based on occupancy… called in the morning and was denied and told it was up to the cleaning department, called them and they said that was news to them.
The gentleman called us back stating they changed their mind and we could have late ck out at 11:00. Stories don’t jive .
That part was frustrating.

Checkin was a nightmare! 2 hours in line is unacceptable. No compensation for losing 2 hours of vacation time.

No blender in the room but the staff brought me one very quickly.

Tv remote would not always work. Reported it to the front desk after several hours someone came to fix it but it still gave us problems.

Phone in room did not work. Had to walk to the front desk for help. Never fixed.

They put us in an ADA compliant room when we did not need it. I told them they should have asked me first as maybe someone actually needed it. They responded they can’t ask and they can’t tell me that I am being out there. This is ridiculous. If someone really needed that room, it should not be wasted on someone who doesn’t need or want it.

No shower door so water gets everywhere in the bathroom.

The gym was nice! Much Larger than most resort gyms, lap pool a plus. Couldn’t call for a ride so had to walk a lot to get to places.
Pool towels not available at every pool and they are heavily guarded when present.

Not my first choice resort. It was better when owned by Welk, now owned by Hyatt. So sad to see the resort take a dive in quality.

Rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped. Jetted tub was amazing, washer and dryer had laundry soap and dryer sheets to wash wet clothes. Beds were so comfortable and patio was cool. Property is well maintained and managed. Pool was excellent for kids. Slide, splash pad, multiple pools and hot tub. Fireplace with live music in the evening. Boys loved doing the s’mores and playing ping pong. Staff is friendly and very accommodating. 10/10 recommend! We will be back for a longer stay. Ate dinner at the little cafe they have there. My husband got the braised ribs and it was phenomenal. Drinks were strong, you can purchase beer from pool area to help relax while watching the kids.

Firstly- be aware this is a time share property and they will do their best to hook you into buying their timeshare.

The room was clean and had a beautiful view over a pond and the golf corse. However, we could hear the noise from the freeway when in the room.
The property is going through renovations so I think some of their typical amenities are on pause.
I really liked the pillows. My husband did not. Great water temp and pressure.

The pool but the sales center is the one with the splash pad and water slide. Our son had a blast in there. It was very nice. Did not get to the other pools.

Staff was a little hit and miss.
Their Starbucks is an automated machine so don't expect more than coffee and creamer.

Bathroom was out of shampoo and conditioner so I had to get out in the middle of showering my kids to request. Understaffed at harmony hill pools.

The staff was great, I had a problem with the food and the grille. My food tasted weird, they did great and gave my son something different. The biggest issue I had was with the text message service. It was difficult to get what I needed from this number as they did not respond. I attempted multiple times and it was still no success. This was our worst travel experience. We were staying there for a wedding in which the after party was on location. We had called for an early check-in due to a wedding and the shuttles us taking us from the Hyatt to the venue at 3:30. We were told to come early and they will get us in as soon as a room is available. That didn't happen. We waited for a room at one of their restaurant bars. The service was beyond slow and the staff wasn't very friendly. Bartender actually kept saying could use help to others standing around, and then when someone came behind she said you can't be here.

A room never became available. At 3:00 we went back to the desk saying the shuttle is leaving from out front in 30 minutes and we have to get dressed. They had a bellman bring us to a locker room to get ready. We still had all of our luggage and he stated he would make sure it got to our room. When we arrived back at our place at midnight, our luggage was there, however my jacket twas missing. Needless to say, the next morning we called lost and found and she said she would call around to find out where it might be. Of course it was never found.

We ended up getting towels from the pool area. At the pool, they have 2 ping pong stations, unfortunately they don't have any balls so its there for decoration. Overall, i liked the resort and for what it was. My biggest issue was staffing. I came during spring break week and you would expect staff appropriate for spring breakers. The pool was my biggest issue with staff. The same person that ran the little store was also the lifeguard, maintenance pool guy and towel guy. I stayed from Monday to Wednesday and all 3 days were like that for the pools i visited. The bar and food areas were completely backed up. I had to uber eats Burger King one day because the food was going to take too long. It should never be like that, especially for Spring Break. I went with a group of 15 and we all felt that was the biggest let down.
I do also wish there was more activities to do especially in downtown plaza area. Really if it wasnt for the pool, there wasnt much more to do with kids.
I had an issue with the bathroom window as well being too opaque. You can literally see 75% of someone showering in the room, silhouette and everything. Thats unacceptable. The main issues is what will hold me back from booking again. I have been to all inclusive resorts in mexico pleanty of times, and while im not saying this is that, there should be definetly more things to do especially when the sun goes down and the kids get a break from the water. Golf course was great i will say though.

Great room and very clean. We reserved the room with the jacuzzi tub for my son who was really excited for that. Our stay was good and we enjoyed the pool and the Farmers market that was on the property. This is our 2nd time and definitely will be back again. We had to wait in an hour and a hald line to check in and get a key...there was no online check in (also, there were many elderly waiting in the line and not offered chairs or assistance). Many of the staff areas were understaffed...with many staff working at least 3 jobs (for instance, at the food bar by the pool there was one person taking orders, making cocktails, AND making the food...so we had another hour wasted just trying to get food) and only one staff member was near another busy family pool (who was supposedly watching the waterslide, running the consessions bar, AND they were running the kids activities). All of the staff looked stressed and miserable, understandably given how they were doing the job of two or three people. The room was clean but noisy..all of the floors creeked and all of the doors on the furniture slammed. The 1 bedroom we stayed in that supposedly fit 4 people had a dinky, run down fold out couch (that one kid barely fit on). It seemed a promising place with the amenities and activities BUT it is sorely understaffed and underserviced...except for the sales staff which are always trying to sell time shares/vacations. We won't bother with this place again.

While the property itself was clean and staff were friendly. There were a few things that we disliked from this trip. Called twice to get more towels to our room, never received them. Pool area you have to check out towels and turn them back in or you get charged $10 per towel. (Bring your own) check in was atrocious close to 2 hours and they were trying to give us a cheaper room at the higher rate we originally booked. Our room had a few things that were broken or needed maintenance of. All in all our trip was good.

The resort was beautiful. If you are traveling just to get away, they have a lot to do on the resort itself. Villa suite was huge, beautiful, and clean. Downside is upon checking in at around 8pm, there was a HUGE line to check in that lasted over and hr long.

So many pools to choose from for the kids. The best pool is the furthest away. Golf is great here and super reasonable. Only downside was check in, i stood in line for over an hour to get keys and room info. Luckliy the rest of the family ate at the nearby restaurant, so it only sucked for me.

This property is very outdated. The wait time at the restaurant is long. My room was uncomfortable — the fridge had multiple dents, the couch was creaky and stiff, the door had a broken lock, and it looked very old. It felt like I was in an old movie. The market had very limited choices and was ridiculously overpriced. No ice was available anywhere. It was terrible. I felt like I was staying in an old apartment complex.

Clean property! Our place was perfect for the family. It was nice having a full kitchen so we could cook and lots of shopping nearby. Pools were great. The kids enjoyed the waterside especially, as well as the arcade/ game rooms. I enjoyed the gym amenities.... equipmemt was much more than most hotel type places. It was convenient having everything in one place.
