We had a great experience. Rooms were spacious and clean. The grounds were well maintained and the pools were nice. Love the coffee shop and nearby Smashburger restaurant by the gold course was delicious. Loved the opportunity to kayak for free everyday. We had a nice relaxing staycation

We had an amazing stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with our experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was super friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They were incredibly accommodating.

We also loved the great activities available through the hotel. Whether it was the hanging out poolside, kayaking, or other special events they had planned, there was always something fun to do. It made our trip feel special and kept my daughter entertained the entire time.

Clean, comfortable rooms, excellent location, and outstanding hospitality. We’ll definitely be back and will be recommending this hotel to everyone!

Would stay again in a heartbeat. ❤️

Hotel was great, the 2nd pool and jacuzzi were bit dirty disappointment there - the room was great - the balcony couldn’t enjoy due to mosquitos - this is due to the lake - there a lot stuff to do on this resort- I was ok with this resort

For the price of the room, they could do a lot better. Sofa was dirty, ripped curtains in the living room and floors were pretty dirty. The shower in the master room was draining very slow too.

There was an on site restaurant which was nice. There were also lake rentals that weee very convenient. Staff was nice.

It was ok. Most likely not returning.

This is the perfect little getaway for families. We have two small children, a toddler and baby and we had plenty of things to do as a family. The pool was my toddler’s favorite, the poolside bar was a great addition for parents ;)
The boat, kayaks, etc rentals were such a nice experience. We rented the paddle boats and the lake is a perfect touch to give that true vacation feel. The complimentary bikes and s’mores kits were also a nice touch to our family time. The restaurants were also so nice! Amalfi Marina Bar and Brickman’s was the perfect way to end our night with dinner and drinks. Def a 10/10 experience!

Unfortunately the hotel, despite it's great amenities, have triple charged my credit card after we checked out. I was never able to contact anyone from the hotel to get this straighten out. My messages went completely unanswered and my credit card was maxed out because of these extra charges. Horrible experience with the fraudulent charges and zero customer service or follow up.

The gym was not open until 8am/9am. I asked about it multiple times and no one seemed to know why. I cannot stay there as a traveling business person (or even on vacation) if the gym is not open in the mornings. It is just empty so why not have it open with our key card?

The door to my room did not close properly so every time I needed to pull with all my might to close it - I am sure bothering everyone on my hall.

Carpets were dirty and stained, walls had scuffs on them and furniture was damaged. A/C barely worked and when I asked for someone to check it I was told this was energy saving option. Reservation was for four people, yet there were only three towels in the bathroom and two bottles of water. Lights were so dimmed you could barely see at night and some of them didn't work.
Upon check-in I was invited to sign a document declining housekeeping services since we stayed three nights.
Not a four star experience for sure.

I stayed here this past weekend and was very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. There was blood on one of the pillows as well as on the bed sheets, which was extremely concerning and unacceptable. And when I called home services or front desk no one answered. I called 3 times. In addition, they didn't put out the champaign i called about for my boyfriends birthday and made me carry it at 11 pm at night. Also, the shower appeared dirty and did not seem to have been properly cleaned before my arrival. Cleanliness is one of the most basic expectations when staying at a hotel, and unfortunately this experience fell far below that standard. I hope management addresses these issues to ensure future guests have a better experience. I'm really sad I've been a loyal customer for 10 years.

We planned a last-minute staycation here. We live locally and didn’t realize how nice this hotel was. We’ve been here before to eat at one of the restaurants onsite but it’s our first time staying at the hotel. The room we got was clean and spacious (we stayed in a Premier Pool Studio room). Our room had a king bed and a couch that had a pullout. My kids loved the room.

The amenities were great for our family. We spent most of our time in the pools. The pool area has a bar and you can order food from the restaurant and they’ll deliver it to where you’re hanging out.

This place really shined for us because of the little things—like having our kids choose a toy from their toy wagon at check-in, the free s’mores kit, and the movie night by the pool.

I do have one suggestion for improvement—and that’s to give better beddings for guests who opt to use the pull out bed. Also, when housekeeping cleaned the room on our second day, they fixed everything but didn’t bother to make the pull out bed.

Overall, this was a nice and relaxing weekend for our family. The vibe was great and we can’t wait to come back next month with a larger group.

The grounds are very pleasant, I mean you have a lake!

But desk staff and especially the fake redhead at the coffee shop were less than convincingly friendly. The young barista with the hair dye job was talking with the other girl(cashier), walked past me, never once looked at me while she placed my drink on the counter right in front of me. Continued walking past, while still conversing with her co-worker, I looked up at my drink, she turned partly around to look at me through her peripheral and condescendingly stated “that’s it” referring to my order and turned back to her conversation with the very nice cashier.
This demonstrated perfectly that the newer generation believes the customer exists solely as an opportunity to assist them in reaching their dream of holding a degree in art appreciation or as a practice instrument in sharpening their disdain of a capitalist society. In any case, who ever hired this angry superior creature full of arrogant ignorance should have explained that in a service industry there is an element of effort that is to be exerted in positive engagement with the customer.

I was always taught if giving a criticism offer a solution. So here it is. Pay your college age staff enough that you get an over abundance of applicants. With a better choice of applicants. Because when you hire out of desperation you get people like that pretentious creature that although she made a great cup of coffee will remain the most bitter I’ve ever had!

Highly recommend Lakehouse resort. I would’ve rated it excellent except for the experience we received when we checked in. The front staff was very snooty and not friendly at all. Just couple of things in the room that needed improvement: the lighting. One of the lamps did NOT work. The room looks very dark. It you want a vacation, this place is the place. The whole place gets very quiet after 10-a very peaceful environment. Also family friendly place. They have fire pits (where you do smores at night)and movie nights by the pool. MOST IMPORTANTLY-this resort is very DOG FRIENDLY. LOVE ! LOVE! LOVE!!! Housekeeping excellent also!

The room should be cleaner. Not many towels and body wash products for one person provided even though they knew there were two people staying. The room was like a motel 6. Absolutely nothing fancy and overpriced. Staff was okay. We got a friendly girl on checking in but kind of a not so friendly girl on checkout. Parking was fine and free but there were people parking in the handicapped parking places and they did not have handicap plates on their cars. Did not use hot tub or pool. Other guests were noisy and rude way past midnight. Walls are paper thin so we could hear lots of noise.

The Amalfi restaurant was an amazing surprise, the food was delicious and the service outstanding. The price was right too, $100 dinner for two with a couple of drinks.

I was a little disturbed by the fact the door was missing the swing arm mechanism to double lock the door was missing. We informed the front desk and they said maintenance would be in touch and they never contacted us to address the issue. Otherwise, we were pleased with the amenities, the room and the property. We especially liked having access to the shop 24/7.

I didn't like the fact that the rooms were not ready during check-in. I believe about 20 people were waiting for their rooms, with about a 30-minute delay.

The furniture in the room had broken handles, which were okay, but it would have been nice to be able to open a drawer.

Other than that, I would stay there again. The staff and amenities were wonderful, and the best part was the links golf course.

We enjoyed staying there due to the property being on the lake and the weather being nice. However, service there was not great. Front desk staff is very uptight to the point of feeling unfriendly. Called to request extra towels, but they were not delivered. Some umbrellas in the pool area were ripped and moldy, to the point we were uncomfortable staying under them. The gate to the pool area, including the door handle and the card reader, was covered in bird poop that has not been cleaned for several days. On the weekend, their \"adult only\" jacuzzi was full of children with no one enforcing the rules. The carpet in our room was stained when we arrived, but a pet cleaning fee of $150 was collected. They collect the fee but never actually clean the carpet. It seems like they are understaffed but are trying to squeeze every last penny from the guests without actually using the funds to maintain the property. Overpriced for the quality of service they offer. But the lake was nice.

The property was convenient but the room had a musty odor and needed updating. The idea of staying on a manmade lake with amenities was appealing however everything closed early. If you made plans for the day and wanted to paddle around the lake after dinner, there was no opportunity.
The staff was friendly however they were not forthcoming with information unless you asked a lot of questions.

The hotel has definitely gone downhill a bit. Recently stayed and the suite we were in had a constant loud AC running all night and the mini fridge was also loud, unable to get a good night sleep.Also the carpet had red stains and front staff at desk could be more nice, their not very friendly.

I’m really disappointed with our stay at Lakehouse Hotel and Resort.

The issues started with the room itself. There was no way to cover three large windows, so the room was flooded with light as soon as the sun came up around 6:30am. The bathroom door did not close completely and had no lock. The beds and pillows are hard and lumpy.

Parking was great but Safety was also a concern. The resort is not gated, which may be fine, but in our building the exterior door was left propped open all night. I woke up around 4:45am to go to my car to grab the baby’s bottle I had forgot and noticed a cold breeze in the hallway. When I got downstairs, I saw the door had been left wide open, meaning anyone—or even animals—could have come in. That felt very unsafe.

The worst part of our stay, though, was the condition of the hot tub. I was there with my four children (ages 1, 4, 13, and 14), and we noticed what looked like bikini bottoms at the bottom of the spa. My kids carefully pulled it out with sticks, only to discover it was a woman’s underwear and a used sanitary pad. It was absolutely disgusting. We got out immediately and didn’t feel comfortable using the pool or spa at all after that.

To top it off, I noticed a random $32 charge on my credit card with no explanation.

Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend staying here.
