The property was convenient but the room had a musty odor and needed updating. The idea of staying on a manmade lake with amenities was appealing however everything closed early. If you made plans for the day and wanted to paddle around the lake after dinner, there was no opportunity.
The staff was friendly however they were not forthcoming with information unless you asked a lot of questions.

Beautiful location. Great for weekend getaway. Right on lake. Next to restaurant. Only gave 4/5 stars for amenities because gym was under construction. Everything else was great.
Bikes, paddle boat, tennis courts, pool.
Definitely recommend staying here.

The hotel has definitely gone downhill a bit. Recently stayed and the suite we were in had a constant loud AC running all night and the mini fridge was also loud, unable to get a good night sleep.Also the carpet had red stains and front staff at desk could be more nice, their not very friendly.

I’m really disappointed with our stay at Lakehouse Hotel and Resort.

The issues started with the room itself. There was no way to cover three large windows, so the room was flooded with light as soon as the sun came up around 6:30am. The bathroom door did not close completely and had no lock. The beds and pillows are hard and lumpy.

Parking was great but Safety was also a concern. The resort is not gated, which may be fine, but in our building the exterior door was left propped open all night. I woke up around 4:45am to go to my car to grab the baby’s bottle I had forgot and noticed a cold breeze in the hallway. When I got downstairs, I saw the door had been left wide open, meaning anyone—or even animals—could have come in. That felt very unsafe.

The worst part of our stay, though, was the condition of the hot tub. I was there with my four children (ages 1, 4, 13, and 14), and we noticed what looked like bikini bottoms at the bottom of the spa. My kids carefully pulled it out with sticks, only to discover it was a woman’s underwear and a used sanitary pad. It was absolutely disgusting. We got out immediately and didn’t feel comfortable using the pool or spa at all after that.

To top it off, I noticed a random $32 charge on my credit card with no explanation.

Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend staying here.

Lakehouse Resort was a great place to stay! We were celebrating our 25 year anniversay and it was exactly what we needed. It was not too far from home, but it felt like we were actually away! The staff was so friendly and so helpful! We attended the Wine & Food Festival and we absolutely loved it. The restaurants were so good! And the golf course was my husband's favorite! We are already planning on going back with the whole family!

This was my second time staying at this hotel & my experiences were very different. I stayed here in 2021 & enjoyed my stay, we were given complementary champagne, our room was clean & had a wonderful view. S’mores kits were delivered to our room & the pool was clean.
This time, I went back now having a little family & my experience was nice, staff was helpful & friendly, especially the woman who checked us in & another woman who was working the outdoor pool bar. I will say I was disappointed with the rooms this time. The door barely closed- creating a concern for security , the bed seemed like it needed a new mattress & the staff said they were out of s’mores kits & they weren’t readily available the next few days we were there.

We still made the best of our time, but definitely wish we had a better room & hoping they make a few upgrades to their room doors.

Stayed here for a couple of days after our wedding. Super affordable and the room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. They even left us a bottle of champagne to congratulate us. Pool was a lot of fun and the pool bar was a nice touch. We will be staying here again!

We staycation here all the time. Our 2nd floor pool view king room was massive with vaulted ceilings & sky lights. The pool area is spacious and fun for the kids. There’s a lot to do between pool, golf and lake activities. Always feels like a relaxing getaway.

Loved the location and the atmosphere. The girls at the Spinnaker were rude. I’m sorry it’s 9 am and I just wanted a coffee. Literally ordered a iced latte and a coffee. Never was I offered any creamer or sugar and when I asked she just took out a carton of half & half and put it on the counter. I was expecting a friendly vibe and was let down. The room was nice and clean but did have an odor, probably because the resort is older. Loved the pool. Loved the smores. Loved the late night movie at the pool. Parking was fine. I think there was a wedding and I never had any issues with parking.

Booked “premium” lake view room, it had Damaged/permanent large stains on coffee table and red stained carpet, dirty outdoor chairs and dusty lights..a lot of mosquitoes inside the room and outside due to the lake neighborhood, bring repellent with yourself.. lake view was good, and had easy parking.

Overall a good place to stay but the furniture in the room looked a little dated. Our room wasn’t cleaned even though we left the housekeeping needed magnet displayed which also meant we didn’t get more toiletries or fresh towels. The pool areas were good and the hotel is located in a quiet residential area.
In the beginning we had issues with tv channels not working that were fixed by a friendly maintenance man but the channels would still occasionally briefly not work.

I booked a last minute reservation and when I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome from the receptionist. She went over all the amenities and location of my room with me and gave me a welcome drink (yum). The room was spacious and I had a balcony with a slight view of the lake. There’s a coffee shop on the resort which was a huge plus because I didn’t have to leave the hotel to get my morning coffee and it’s conveniently located next to the pool area. My son and I loved it so much we didn’t want to leave. This is probably the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Thank you Lakehouse Resort.

The staff around the resort were not particularly welcoming or attentive. While the room appeared generally clean, the floors felt sticky, which detracted from the overall comfort. Parking was convenient and easy to access, which was a positive aspect of the stay.

Unfortunately, the poolside bar closed earlier than expected without prior notice. Additionally, the towel machine was out of service, and it took approximately 30 minutes for maintenance to address the issue. During this time, staff responses to guest inquiries were dismissive and lacked professionalism.

I was incredibly disappointed in the conditions of the hotel. It is very very ran down. The bug situation is insane. It’s common sense there would be bugs by a lake but wow. Can’t even open your sliding door to the patio or you’ll be swatting mosquitos and whatever else was flying around that they claimed weren’t mosquitos. However, my daughter and I woke up with several bites. Management was great. They understood and allowed us to check out and obtain a refund.

And that’s how we ended up at this one, But this hotel is a little hidden but it’s definitely a nice hotel really clean with lots of parking and really clean rooms and facilities totally worth it and definitely recommend it

A one day getaway is good enough for this place honestly nice lake resort with good restaurants nice pools. Staff some were good one of them was just lazy to do anything for us but overall the rest of the staff was very nice. A lot bugs from the lake tho. The coffee shop they had at the resort was never open although it said they’re open 24/7 I went couple times during the day and it wasn’t open

Wonderful place to stay. Reminder to others that this is an older bldg, built in the 70’s. The floors make noise when walking, so if you are sensitive to noise request an upstairs unit. Someone in the downstairs unit complained about us running and jumping all night long. We were in bed by 10 and we were just walking normally.

From check in to the many many included amenities that were included, this was such an amazing stay for my wife and I. We came here per a recommendation from a coworker of mine, for our seven year anniversary and was it one of the best decisions we could’ve made. The only regret we had was that we couldn’t stay a little longer!! The room could’ve been vacuumed a little better and cleaned a little more but that’s not a deal breaker for me. We had the lake view King size bed and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We took our check in drink, our range bucket of balls, and even our s’mores’ kit while we were there and made the most of it all. It was such a relaxing getaway for us and we will def be coming back!!

My room was nice but it was next to an air conditioner unit outside which made it very noisy. There was also a terrible smell in this unit and only went away if the air conditioner was turned off. I could hear lots of people in the hallway after midnight which wasn't pleasant either.

This place is so perfect for what I was looking for I almost don’t want to share so it stays a secret. It was the perfect retreat for what I needed. I was there for wellness treatments in the area. And my room was a perfect retreat on a quaint and quiet lake with ducks , swans and an array of singing birds. Like I said…. Perfect.

The overall experience was amazing. The rooms were spacious and clean. The resort fee included SO many actvities that we enjoyed - kayaking, biking, pickleball courts, the pool and more! The staff was fantastic!

The room was clean and spacious. The check in staff was nice, but I felt like another number. They offer so many amenities but some close at 4 or 5 and check in is at 4 so I guess you can only use the free time they give you if you are staying multiple nights? I would bring my family back to spend the day here since some of the activities are open to the public. I think the best way to enjoy this resort is to get a cottage.

Only complaint I'd say about the room is the shower head was very low pressure which drives me crazy. Feels like it takes so much longer to rinse. But that's minor in the grand scheme. Will t. otally come back to stay again
