No elevators, just stairs.
Full beds not queens like listed on there website, beds where on the VERY firm side. No fridge or microwave of coffee pot in the rooms.(maybe with upgrade) Ice machine, microwave, & small food items and necessities on site across from the lobby.

Rooms are not serviced everyday if your stay is more then one consecutive night, I had to go to the front desk and ask for toilet paper are room only had what was on the roll.

Overall room was clean, pool clean (not heated) property/grounds clean. Parking area there was an abandoned car full of stuff other than that parking area was okay, there was plenty of parking spots.

Hotel was near Legoland, strawberry company & a lot of restaurants, gas stations, grocery store, coffee shops, and the beach.

Pets allowed not me personally but I saw friendly dogs on leashes around, there is a pet area not fenced in.

Overall quiet, average stay.

The mattress cover didn’t come fit well and you can see the gross mattress underneath and some hair from the previous tenants. Everything is old but you get what you paid.

Staff was not very helpful and apparently gave away my reservation. I was never notified about any issues until I checked in. I asked about getting it corrected the following days and nothing ever happened. The bed was the worst I ever experienced. I have disc problems and that bed gelt like the springs were digging into me. The room felt very old and dated. It's disappointing as the hotels nearby were much better but had to pay much more as I ended up leaving my reservation and looked elsewhere. I can go on and on. But there should have never been an issue to begin with and there wouldn't have if they simply gave me the room I ordered.

I had a very disappointing stay at this hotel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable and made it difficult to get any rest. The bathtub in the shower was also dirty, which immediately made the room feel unsanitary. AC was not working.

The worst part was finding roaches behind the headboards of the beds. That was completely unacceptable and made the stay very uncomfortable. Cleanliness should be a basic priority for any hotel, and unfortunately this place did not meet that standard. I would not recommend staying here.

Never had worse customer service at a Motel 6 than this. Had made a reservation, arrived later in evening, attendant couldn't have cared less that we were there, went through motions handed card key. We went to the room, opened the door, the room very overwhelming smelled like smoke - smell which someone was definitely smoking in the room. We only stepped in glanced at the room noticed did not have a very clean look to it. Immediately stepped out, returned to front desk to get another room. When we mentioned that the room had a very heavy smell of smoke, asked attendant if entire motel and grounds were smoke-free he replied, \"yes.\" At some point in the interaction he said, \"Motel 6 guests don't give a care (other word was actually used).\" Got key for a different room and door would not unlock. That point we made reservations for another hotel, gave the keys back and left. Used to like Motel 6 but some locations are not kept well anymore.

The room was not as clean as it could have been. The floor was very dirty. I stayed 4 nights and not once was my room.cleaned. also, the front office staff was not very knowledgeable about amenities of the motel. The good thing is it's in a great neighborhood and is very close to the beach. I wouldn't stay again.

The Air Conditioning wasn't working and the employee who checked me in didn't say anything about it. When I got to the stuffy room and realized it I went to the office to ask about it and the employee told me it wasn't working. I asked for a refund because I needed to find somewhere else to stay and he said to go back the next day to speak to a manager. I did that and the manager said I would have to handle that with Expedia. Overall it was a horrible experience and a very long night.

First off the staff when they were in the office were nice. However, my room smelled of smoke and it was suppose to be \" no smoking\"! When I said something to the front desk, they said their rooms were all booked up. That night I froze . There were no blankets or extra pillows or anything. There wasn't a refrigerator to keep.my food cold either. The next morning I picked up two blankets from the front desk. Saturday night I was exhausted and went to bed early only to be woken up by the neighbor upstairs from me. Needles to say that I got no sleep and suffered with the cigarette smoke which I am.allergic to.walking back amd forth very louddest.

Staff was nice and friendly. I got a non smoking room. And the room smelled like cigarettes! Sheets were stained horribly. The lights above the beds were so dusty. Our clothes and body had the cigarette smell on us. We even showered twice. We went home smelling like an ashtray.

The room we stayed in was on the side were the freeway was and it was so noisy. The room didnt have a fridge, blow dryer or an iron.
The air didnt work at first and had to call maintenance but they came fast and fixed it. The room just smelled musty and old. They definitely need to renovate the rooms.

Check in time was 3 PM didn’t arrive till 330. Didn’t have the room available tell us to wait a while proceeded to try to put us in a room that they said somebody else complaint and said it’s stained and it did waited around went out to eat several hours waste of time didn’t get checked in until 7:30 PM. They are all over the place may have just been a bad weekend for them. They said they were short staffed, but that’s not my concern. It was a bad experience.

We had a late check-in, the girl at front desk was helpful, but the room we got was very dirty. Visible hair and stain on both beds, hair on floor and the bathroom was very dirty. Our daughter was sleeping already, so we went to get clean bedsheet and blankets and didn’t request a change of room. Cigarette burns on blankets, fire smoke detector was wrapped in plastic bag, definitely not up to fire department codes. The next day, the room key didn’t work and I was locked out of the room, so I went to the front desk. Waited for awhile, still no one shows up at the front desk, so I started to call for attention. A girl finally came out from a back room and asked if I could wait, but since I had a zoom call that I was late for, so I said no. She proceeded to help me, but told me “next time, please don’t yell in the lobby, because you will disturb people staying in the door right next to the lobby.” I responded “if you are at the front desk as you should have been? I wouldn’t need to yell.”

The trip was for 4 night originally, I booked a better place and got out of there after 2 nights.

The location is great, but the property is pretty bad.

My room was infested with coackroaches. I had to leave at midnight because I refused to stay there it was disgusting. There was also nowhere else to stay in the area because it was Valentines Day. I had to drive for hours in the middle of the night to get home it was a nightmare. PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE. It's not worth \"saving a few bucks\" to stay there. You will be bringing home friends with you if you stay there and not the good kind.

Could not get any rest as the upstairs guests were yelling and fighting all night. Then at 9 am construction right outside the room. My expectations for this location are already low and this was absolutely the worst. No a/c no heat, domestic disturbance, really bad roooms experience. Its sad when the smoking rooms are actually better than the no . From the lack of sleep alone I want a refund or a comp night for the worst stay I have ever had at one of these motel6 locations.

The new manager is not friendly very degrading not kind to be running a motel..very judgemental and harsh..kicked me out no reason..people smoking fentanyl in the parking lot and that's ok..I have few friends stop by and I'm kicked out..not willing to give discount when there is no air or other issues and dirty sheets and tubs and sinks and towels trash throughout grass and very snotty cleaning ladies

We didnt expect much from Motel 6, our simple needs were met; what we didnt sign up for, however, was smell or marijuana in the bathroom, seemingly from adjacent \"non-smoking\" rooms. Bathroom fan was not working, too, dont know if it was broken or missing. My eyes were itching and red the whole time I stayed.

We are rounding up from 3.2 because of the price. The room was good enough to crash out. Not the best bed. No fridge. Some bulbs out. But unbeatable price. I didn't expect much. Got in at 2:15am. Friendly and fast check in. Out by 11.

I was thankful for the room upgrade. But the room was quite neglected. I know it’s a budget motel but the room literally had a terrible smell and the drain of the tub was also clogged leaving a nasty residue when the water drained. Would hope they do much better in the future.

Terrible…I’ve stayed at Motel 6 east in Carlsbad and it had a totally different vibe. Service was very impersonal. Cleaners or employees were having full blown conversations out side my room from 7 am.

My key didn’t work, had to get a new one made. It’s how inconvenient it was all day, I had to get some one to open the door twice. Being a diabetic I asked for a refrigerator and they never brought it. So had to get large bag of ice! And naturally the ice machine was empty so had to wait for it to make Ice. The other machine wasn’t on because it was broken.

so my problem with this Motel 6 was nothing I had to do with the front desk or anything like that the guy at the front desk was absolutely amazing he was excellent great conversation my problem with it is is that roaches were crawling over our TV screen I got woke up in the middle of the night with a roach on my face my wife had one on her face waking us up then I go out of town cuz I rented the room for 2 days we're not out of town just San Diego and had to show some people some stuff and work just called out of my briefcase that was the most embarrassing thing ever

Heater didn’t work . Room too cold, no cleaning in the room in 4 days I stayed. Manager Chris very rude kicked me out with my newborn because I paid an extra night online. My mother died so I went to her house from Carlsbad in Orange County so I paid online like I did 2 other times before and he kicked me out because he said I supposed to pay in person
