Excellent location, decent breakfast (pastries, coffee, and cereal) and clean inside & out. Renovations feel modern and thoughtful, not rushed or cheap. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Did not use pool. Location is fantastic. 2 minute walk to beach in lovely neighborhood full of chirping birds for lovely morning walk. Would have liked desk & chair in room. Toilet had trouble flushing. Breakfast was minimal but OJ was great and coffee good. Would have liked closet w/ hangers to hang clothes.

The staff were great when we checked in. As they handed the key, they said to check the room to our liking if not they can switch us to another one. My first time to experience this. Bravo. The shower was above par. Amenities are okay. The room was clean and the bed had the right firmness we like. Pillows were a little soft for our liking. Cable TV was nice, my darling saw Hallmark and she's happy. We loved that we were in the 2nd floor and thinking that we can see the sea but kind of disappointed. Overall, loved our stay. Will be back when we will have our group meeting in that area again. Bravo Zulu.

Good location on the PCH in a high-end residential area. Numerous restaurants are an easy walk. Plenty of parking in a well-lit lot. Warm, friendly staff. Fresh paint + new decor + new flooring in lobby + rooms. A/C and heat wall unit worked great, was not overly loud as some are.
Very comfy bed, soft sheets, plenty of pillows. Built-in bedside adjustable swivel (multi-directional) light fixtures with convenient on-off switches (love!!) Raised cabinet surface to put bags on + 3 large drawers. Cute, comfy over-sized upholstered chair + footrest. 48\" desk with a modern swivel chair + nice desk lamp with 3 brightness levels.
New full-size Keurig for in-room coffee + fridge + microwave. Bathroom mirror with a built-in adjustable light that serves as a night light. Bathroom is a little small (queen room), but the space is used well / wisely and the tile + sink + shower + fixtures are brand new.
Continental breakfast was free and adequate — OJ, hot water + tea, fresh coffee, sugar, 2% milk, 3 Coffee Mate creamer flavors, cinnamon rolls, muffins, cookies, apples, choice of 3 cereals, white bread + new toaster, butter, honey, jelly.

The overall hotel was very dated and beat up. Our room was 209 right by the door to outside and every day we were woken up at 6-6:30 from people taking their dogs, kids, etc. and the door being slammed shut- there was absolutely 0 sound proofing even when we blasted white noise from our phones. The walls are dented, paint missing, there was not even a sheet to protect yourself from the comforter that is likely not washed every stay. The only positive is the location and free parking.

Unfortunately they didn’t get the basics right. Cold shower, threadbare towels, very noisy location of my room next to the outside door that slammed all night until 2am shaking the walls, poor quality breakfast, mold all over the bathroom and my room key had to be reactivated every night.
I don’t understand the higher ratings other than a friendly staff, decent in room coffee machine and good location downtown Encinitas.

The room was very clean. The shower was terrific. There were a refrigerator, a microwave, and even a mini bar counter in the room. The mini bar counter is very useful for our stay. The hotel's location is very convenient and very close to the beaches and not far from I-5. The hallway was being remodeled and didn't look that great, but it didn't bother us.

The Brisa Pacific Hotel is in an excellent location and is a small, welcoming hotel. The room itself was very clean, which I appreciated. I gave it four stars because the hallway carpet was in poor condition and had a noticeable pet odor. Since the hotel allows pets, I would recommend that management consider replacing the hallway carpet with hard flooring, as the current carpet appears to absorb pet odors. Once inside the room, everything was clean and well maintained, with hard flooring instead of carpet, which was a plus. Free parking was also a nice benefit.

It definitely came in clutch for a last-minute stay. This place is definitely a \"get what you pay for\" type of scenario. I believe we got a room that was not remodeled, so it was kind of on the \"dingier\" side, but it was nothing extremely crazy or bad! The room came with a decent queen sized bed, a desk and chair, a lounging chair and ottoman, a microwave, refrigerator, and a TV with the ability to add your streaming service accounts. The bathroom was standard, somewhat cramped and could use a bit more TLC but again, you get what you pay for! 😊 There was also plenty of parking but if you have a larger vehicle like a truck, you might feel a bit cramped.
My partner and I stayed from Friday-Monday, and had 0 major complaints! There was a small incident with the shower head, but the manager helped us navigate the problem and it didn't fall back on us, she was very kind and helpful!

The place is a glorified rundown hotel made to look like some sort of a cute beach resort. I checked in to my room and after walking in, discovered that it was like walking into a dog's mouth. The bed look like a hammock and the bathroom look like a CSI murder scene. Disgusting stains all over the wall and hair in the corner of the bathroom. I almost threw up. I walk back downstairs and cheerfully asked for my money back. The front desk agent said no and that it would be the problem of the third party. I said that I had only been there for 35 or 40 seconds. Just long enough to realize how just filthy and disgusting this place was. I asked her if she would do the right thing and refund me my money or if she would like a review of my experience? I'd be happy to give that. Otherwise this isn't going to go well for anyone. She told me there was nothing she could do and off I went on my merry way. Avoid at all cost. This place is disgusting.

Great shower. Easy walk to beach through the neighborhood, but a giant staircase to get down to the beach so be ready. Room was clean bed very firm. They could use new pillows. The towels were terrible super thin cheap motel like. Otherwise room has everything you need. They do need to clean under the platform bed as there was a whole bunch of debris underneath it and somebody’s old sock. Or just don’t look under the bed. Convenient location. Coffee shop very close and the Hamburger Hut. City center to Encinitas is a bit of a walk. If you’d like to walk. All rooms are accessed from the interior so that is good, but the halls/doors show a lot of wear and tear. Anyways, overall we liked the place felt like a surfer hotel, kind of.

The property needs serious upgrading. The location is excellent ,and with a major facelift, this could be an excellent hotel. the carpeting is very warn and deep dirt that really could not be cleaned. Staff friendly, modest breakfast, bed mattess, sheets, blankets are budget hotel grade. Bahtrroms very small but not much can be done for space in an remodel. Pet friendly apparently in every room, so you always had the feeling you were in not a super clean room. Unless ownership made major upgrades, I would not stay at this hotel in the future.

Stayed here from Mon to Fri and paid $742. It was worth it. It’s per diem money anyway. Stonesteps beach is a 5 minute walk and it’s really nice. Hearing the train early in the morning sucked, avoid room 209 because people walk out of the hotel and slam the door late at night. Room 209’s restroom leaks a lot when you shower. Had to use a couple of towels to soak up the water from the floor. Other than that this hotel is really nice in a nice area. Staff is friendly, housekeeping everyday, and the room is nice. Would definitely stay here again just a different room.

Cute updated small little hotel. Rooms were cute, personally the bed not so comfortable but they give you lots of pillows. Was not able to get the wi-fi to work, but I could use my hotspot from my phone. Breakfast was really simple, and perfect for a morning snack and hot cup of coffee. This was a random find and I would consider booking again. It is close to everything. Price per night was very reasonable as well. I kind of like that it is a smaller property it keeps it quiet. There is no elevator, so make sure your knees can handle up and down the staircase several times a day :)

From the check-in to the room everything was terrible. Front desk check-in was not smooth, then the attendant gave us a horrible room situated under the staircase and past dripping air conditioning systems. The doorway to the room was partially blocked by the hallway door that was propped open. The door to the room itself didn’t close correctly on its own, the room lights were horrible LED, it was stuffy and the air conditioning unit constantly shut on and off and was so noisy. The bathroom was horrible and needs renovation, it had pieces of the doorway missing and patches all over the walls. All in all it was one of the worst stays we have ever had.
