Bistro opens for a few hours in morning and evening. No free happy hour, coffee, or meals. I did enjoy the convenience of purchasing Starbucks coffee in the morning. I bought the Breakfast Burrito on the first morning which was still partially cold in the center and with no microwave oven in the rooms, one must use the one near check-in area. On the last day there I did order chicken wings and Mediterranean bowl for dinner, which was excellent. Additionally, I paid for parking ahead of time $6 per day but learned parking is not monitored when I arrived (no dash passes were given) so that is something I will bring up with Expedia. Housekeeping was available every other day but the hallway carpets and outdoors (front area) could use some attention. I typically stay here each year on business. This time the condition of the hotel just seemed to have lost some of its original luster. Maybe its under new management and going through a transition.

first time at a Marriott and compared to other properties the place just wasn’t what I thought it would be. I heard great things and had high hopes but no. very noisy. was not offered any help with bags. was told the room would have a tub and did not which did not work traveling with a toddler. overall was very disappointed.

The hotel room rate was good considering the gas prices to travel to Carlsbad. The location is near beach and Carlsbad village. The rooms have very thin walls so unfortunately you can hear voices and snoring in the next room. Overall the property and room is clean. There is no complimentary breakfast and the bistro is not very desirable.

The room staff were excellent, and very friendly. The setting arounf the hotel was as pleasant as could be. Just substitute Redwoods for the Eucalyptus and you might have thought you were in the PNW.

New hotel with basic modern amenities. Friendly staff, lots of adorable parking. However, just like many new hotels, the walls of this hotel are thin and you can hear everything from babies crying to housekeeping cleaning early morning. The bed was not as comfortable as other Marriott’s that I have stayed but over all, other than that, it’s a good hotel.

Online they make it seem like it’s a beautiful spacious beautiful hotel …well its not the rooms are small and so is the bathroom area I paid $300 for one night ..not worth it I’m sorry. Snack area was not fully stocked not enough options …maybe not for a family stay it’s more for couples

A short ride-share trip from Legoland, which was the reason we chose this hotel. Off the main road, it is very quiet. The staff was very friendly, room was clean and comfortable, but a couple of irritating things.
We parked on the north side of the parking area against the tall bushes. When we came out the next morning, they had shed a lot of stuff on our car; stuff that was kinda sticky and didn't blow off just by driving. Avoid the tall bushes. Also the room's sink area had a motion switch which sounds great, but in the middle of the night if you need to use the bathroom, the light clicks on and burns your eyeballs out. Just a small nightlight would have been nicer. And also you can't have the closet doors and bathroom door open at the same time. And we had to turn on all the lights in the room to get enough light. All small annoyances; I would still stay here again.

Well the hotel laundry cuaght on fire the hotel was evacuated for over 2 hours. My son and i where very excited to go to legoland the following day but due to his asthma and all the smoke he inhaled durring the fire he had an asthma attack and we had to come home missing out on legoland. I feel so badly for him .

Meh..good enough but not great

I chose this hotel bc I've had great experiences w Marriott—all brands/ levels. Despite stellar reviews for this particular one, I was sorely disappointed. The room was “pretty clean” but the room felt so gloomy and blah. The telephone for our room didn’t work, I kept getting “this extension cannot be reached” for every button I dialed. I finally had to look up the hotel number and call the front desk to get more towels delivered to the room while juggling kids in the bathroom. The walls are paper thin, we heard conversations on both sides of the room and my kids couldn’t sleep until almost midnight. Lo and behold 4:30am the person in the room above us started walking around (which they absolutely should be able to do) but we heard every creak from each footstep, every flush, and could even time exactly how long they were in the shower. Unreal that a Courtyard Marriott would have such thin floors and walls.

The things we liked were (most) of the staff—very friendly except for a couple that couldn’t be bothered to give more than one word answers. The location of was also in a good, quiet area which made me feel safe while traveling w kids and was close to Legoland. For the $300+ price tag however, will not be returning for a bare bones experience.

Good stay

Check in was friendly and quick. The room was clean and the bed comfy.
I’d give 4/5 stars because the room had a funky smell (couldn’t quite place what it was but it was noticeable and annoying) and the shower leaked water into the floor so it soaked the mat after one shower. However, I would stay again if I’m in the area — and just request a different room if it had the same smell.

Clean room, friendly staff. They have a bar in the lobby, but not a real bartender.

Breakfast staff - for purchase. 45+ minute wait and a staff member with long dark hair with braids was yelling at customers to dispute their card if they didn’t want to wait and saying we’re busy can’t you see that. 45+ minutes for a toasted bagel… yikes

The hotel was very nice the staff were so helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom was amazing and I loved the walk in shower. The only down side were the other guests. We had possibly a family in the room on top of us it sounded like there were kids running and jumping and making loud noises starting at 5 am and did continuing until we left at 8:30. But other than the hotel itself is lovely the pool was very nice and clean and had a lot of sitting options, I would definitely come back

I booked this property because it said I was going to book for 2 Queens and 1 sofa bed and no sofa bed was included the room is small and no breakfast is included I will never stay at a courtyard again ..staff was trying to be helpful but it was disappointing that I did not get what I booked and expected

I loved our stay here. Our room was clean. Bed was clean and comfortable. I love the duvet they used on the beds. The pull out couch bed worked great for my daughter, but it needed a fitted sheet. Luckily, I had one with me. Bathroom had a shower, but no bathtub. That was just fine for us! Shower was huge and clean. The cafe/restaurant has good coffee for mornings. We swam in the pool and the evening vibe was chill. The drive to Legoland is super easy from this hotel. I would stay here again!
