If i could give minus 5 i would. First off google doesnt even know where totake people for the endtry so we were lost for 2 hours and ended up in a trailor park trying to take us on a dirt road that was blocked. They had take people to this horrible stay. Had bugs in the tub and dirt. Door lock was broken. And the room in pics wasnt the room they gave me. And they wouldnt switch my room to the one they paid for. Rude receptionist. Sliding door broke n and wouldnt even open along with broken lock. Ice was all the way up a hill. Horrible stay and they wouldnt even refund ys. They literally denied all contact. I have called 3 times leaving my info with front desk and they always say the manager is unavailable. Either because its a weekend or because they are on vacation. Not a way to run a business!so we

If you want to avoid the casino crowds and stay at a peaceful resort, Pala Mesa Resort is the spot to stay! In the area for a wedding at the Ethereal Gardens, just ten minutes away, Pala Mesa Resort was the perfect location. The room was spacious and comfy! The resort supplies the room with Bodyography shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and massage bars. The shampoos and conditioners made my hair lush and soft.

We needed to attend the wedding at 3 pm, so required an early check in at noon. They were able to accommodate us at an additional cost, but it made it convenient and gave us the ability to freshen up after our long drive. Thank you to the courteous staff member, Mackey, who helped make it happen!

Wish we had more time to enjoy the resort, but I recommend the Pala Mesa Resort if you’re attending a wedding at Ethereal Gardens.

They charged a daily amount for parking. Two days was $23.76. They did not give a parking pass or even care about what make or model of car you drive, which lets us know its just another way to get more money out of you.
Also, the sliding glass door in our room was single pane,
very hard to get a good nights sleep with the 24 hour freeway noise!

Nice room, needs a microwave! The sliding barn door for the bathroom looks nice but doesn't block any noise so everyone can hear what is going on in there. Quiet, nice landscaping, and really the only decent place to stay anywhere in the area.

This was our first time staying at Pala Mesa Golf Resort, and overall it was a pleasant experience. The room was very beautiful, extremely clean, and the king-size bed was large and comfortable. Check-in was easy, and the staff was very nice and welcoming.

There were a couple of issues that affected our stay. The sliding glass door is a bit dated and had a gap that allowed cold air and outside noise into the room. It felt like sleeping with a window open, and my face and ears became noticeably cold. I was thankful I had packed a thermal and jogging suit, which helped keep me warm. I was eventually able to find a temporary solution by placing a pillow against the door and pushing the desk forward to help block the draft.

Parking was also a bit challenging on the second night. The first night went perfectly, as the front desk gave clear directions and we were able to park at Building F1 by the stairs. After returning from a concert around 1:00 a.m. the second night, parking for F1 was full, and I had to park farther away between Buildings F3 and F4. Walking back late at night in the cold felt uncomfortable and scary.

I did mention the sliding glass door issue to the front desk, but there were no other king-size suites available. Despite these small challenges, the room itself was lovely and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Room was clean and in good condition except that the outside of the glass windows were not clean so viewing was not good. Staff was great, landscape was very good. We had to ask for replacement of the ottoman that we found broken. It was replaced.

Wonderfully clean. Room in very good condition. Lots of towels and soaps. Roomy and ergonomic room layout. Quality furniture. Comfortable bet. Not crowed (December). Easy parking close to room. Super nice staff. Kuerig coffee machine in room. Pleasant areas to walk around on the grounds.

Not crazy about the I15 traffic noise, but what are you going to do... it is near the interstate. And the noise wasn't a big deal when inside the room.

Will definitely stay there again, and wish I had tried this place sooner.

Weve stayed here many times and everytime we are very pleased with how quiet and lovely the rooms and the views are. We ordered from the restaurant and the food and service was delightful. Pala golf course does not disappoint. We do not golf, but we love the staying at resorts such as this one. We got the much needed relaxation and deep sleep that we needed. Palas facilities are always so nice!

So the amenities were fine, and the location was beautiful, but they woke me up at 9:30 and knocked on my door wanting to clean my room, and then they knocked on my door again at 10:15 and woke me up yet again

I had just driven 17 hours and was exhausted so to be woken up twice was really disappointing, especially since you guys are known for luxury

Room was cleaned well but only when requested. Slight miscommunication when I checked in - I asked that the room be cleaned each day but only the first day was actually cleaned, so we were short on dry towels. Arrived too late to get a delivery of fresh towels so we made do. Overall an excellent place to stay and very friendly staff. Have stayed many times and will continue to do so.

We have been staying at Pala Mesa for the past several years, our son is a narine at pendleton, n he n his family live down street in fallbrook. I like to exercise n swim, both have been closed since we have been coming. There is no microwave in room.
We stay for convenience, the price is not great,

The room was clean and fine. My critique was the service from the lounge and lack of staffing. We waited more than 15 minutes at the hostess stand to be seated. We were barely acknowledged other than they were short staffed, which was valid. They were stressed, tables were left uncleared, etc. Food was not great. I had three visits to the lounge during the stay and all were mediocre at best.
I went to the front desk for a receipt of my stay and was met with a sign that says someone would be available shortly and thanking me for my patience. I never did see anyone or get a paper receipt.
This property has pending renovations, and is need of them. Overall I was disappointed and would not recommend. I recognize staffing issues, but a smile and acknowledgement goes a long way. Offering a seat and a beverage during the wait would've solved it, but was not offered.

The place was pretty empty but they seem yo put all guests packed in 1 or 2 buildings. We ended up in the room next to people who played music loud all night and couldn’t sleep much. We didn’t want to complain because we were afraid of retaliation. I wish they assigned the rooms more spread out coz walls were thin and we could hear people talking too.

Noise from freeway and power generator. If you close your doors, it will be ok, good noise insulation. If you like golf, driving range is on site, there is other golf course nearby too. About 10 minutes away from winery if you like to have some lunch or dining options. Kind of isolated location, if you prefer space, and distant from convenient stores or city life.

Room needed more hangers. Refrigerator wasn't working when we got there. I fiddled with it and got it to work.
Left two expensive items in a drawer next to bed. Some traffic noise from freeway that the single pane slider did not block out but got used to it. When I called to have them picked up, they said there was nothing left in the room. Seriously doubt that but can't prove housekeeping took them. My fault for not checking the drawers closely enough.
Food was good. Very pleasant place to stay.
Would stay there again.

It was a very hot day and room was hot it made the stay uncomfortable. Wish they would replace the system apparently other guests shared with us they experienced the same issue.

recently stayed at Pala Mesa Resort while attending my niece’s wedding, and overall it was a lovely experience.

I really liked that the resort had a small, cozy feel, with our room overlooking the golf course—such a relaxing view. While the exterior of the buildings looks a bit dated and there’s no elevator (understandable since it’s only two stories), I was pleasantly surprised by our room. It looked recently renovated with charming barnyard doors and high ceilings that made the space feel even bigger. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, which makes a huge difference for me when staying at any hotel.

The property itself has a rustic charm, surrounded by trees, which gave it a peaceful atmosphere. I did notice one building that seemed ready for renovation, but the lobby had a sign letting guests know that updates are in progress, so it seems improvements are on the way.

It was convenient being able to walk to the lobby, and the location worked out perfectly for us since the wedding venue, Grand Tradition Estate, was only a 15-minute drive away.

The only downside was that the main restaurant was closed on Monday. The golf café was open, which was fine, but I would have loved to enjoy breakfast on the terrace again like we did when we first arrived.

Overall, it was a nice brief getaway. I’d definitely recommend Pala Mesa Resort for anyone attending a nearby wedding or looking for a quick rustic escape.

This would have been our second time staying there. First time we were here 4 years ago the pool was closed because it was under renovation. This time when we were checking in I asked about the pool and again it’s was under renovation. How can you have a resort with no pool access. We ended up cancelling our reservation.
I don’t think they ever open their pool since then.
The property is beautiful and large. They could easily have a 2nd pool area. Just think it’s summer time and holiday weekend and you don’t have access to a pool. I can stay home and celebrate the holiday weekend and not spend almost $800 just to sleep in a room

Honestly pretty disappointed with our stay here. It was certainly not worth the price. The pool was out of commission. Breakfast was incredibly pricey. The water pressure was essentially a light rain. The walls were thin and could hear everything. I had so much hope due to how it is advertised but was incredibly disappointed and don’t understand why it was so expensive.

I booked an Executive suite for one night to stay out here for our anniversary. I called ahead to let the staff know i would be checking in a little late. I get there later that evening and I'm told by the staff that the Executive rooms are no longer available due to maintenance. I was told they called and left a message which didn't happen and that i would be downgraded to a smaller room plus a $30 discount. Definitely not what i expected at all. We drove to our room on the west side of the property and stopped by where all the Executive suites are located and the parking lots were full! Obviously they were not under maintenance and they double booked our room or gave it to another quest. The room we ended up with was ok, smelled like cigarettes and the conditions of the room were ok. The discount in price for the downgrade was ridiculous and the conditions were not what the reviews and ratings lead me to believe. Next time i know not to come to Pala mesa resort.

We have been coming to this resort for events and to the restaurant for years. This was my first experience with the hotel portion and I was very pleasantly surprised. The rooms overlook the golf course as yet are very private given their proximity to the forested part. The rooms were large, clean, remodeled, well appointed and had plenty of room for a family or for a working professional. The desk matters and it did not disappoint. I was very impressed and will recommend the resort to others. The golf course is lovely and is challenging. There is a winery at the top of the hill of the resort. Highly recommend. We will definitely be back. Thank you. A++++

The lobby and restaurant is separate from the building with the rooms and you have to drive to your room. The room was very spacious and clean. We were right on the first tee box but it wasn’t too loud, though you can kind of hear the cars from the freeway not too far away. Pool was under construction so wasn’t able to use that amenity.
