Mean staff, they kept my deposit when I chose this place because it says they are cat & dog-friendly however, it could not be farther than the truth! From the 2 times I called prior to booking being ASSURED they were pet-friendly - cats too, I told them I had 2 cats- service animals with papers (proof), they kept my deposit, stole my bank debit card. Charged several hundreds of dollars to my card before I could lock my card. I realized only a half hour later from my check out my csrd was missing from my wallet. They also stole $60 worth of my personal brand new belongings, charged my card with Mexican purchases outside of this country not once, but 6 times! I was lied to and told they didn’t clean my room yet, they did, they didn’t, what was the truth?! All I know is I was treated like crap from the moment I walked in handicapped/disabled till moment I checked out, lied to & robbed by them & their staff! I DO NOT RECOMMEND

VERY NICE BUT A COUPLE OF GLITCHES
This is our second stay at Rancho California Inn. Everything was very good except two things. Maybe it was my own skin sensitivity or the detergent they use, but the sheets caused me to itch. Sheets smelled good and were clean, so maybe it was me but next time I will bring my own. Another thing is that both rooms we stayed in had small roaches. We mentioned it to the manager and he said they spray all the time, so maybe this was in between sprays.
Other than that, we enjoyed the pool and friendliness of other guests and management. Restaurants are close by and the inn is walking distance to Old Town and 15 minutes from Pechanga.

This time we went to gamble at Pechanga, which is one freeway exit away but away from traffic and we went to Wine country, which is just up the hill and lastly, we went to old town. Old town has many many shops and many many restaurants and bars and a lot of tourist Souvenir shops. It’s so close to the hotel you can walk there.
After going in seeing the sites, it’s nice to come back to a very plush updated hotel room that has absolutely everything. The beds are absolutely comfortable and I’ll tell you these people even clean the air-conditioning so you don’t breathe bad air filters are fresh. I cannot say enough about this Experience.

I really love the Rancho California Inn is one of the cleanest properties I’ve been in for an inn the people are so nice. They’re so welcoming. The rooms are very clean. The non-English speaking clerk took photos of my ID on her personal phone while never ending her conversation which triggered my ptsd, not knowing if she was sending my info to associates to rob me or worse. 911 was called twice. I didn’t stay at the place. Dont be a cheap @$$ and stay here to save money. I’m not saying it was definitely a cartel business but I won’t say it isn’t. The best western beside it is AMAZING!!! The emergency latch lock was missing and there were several small holes and rust in many places. The bed and pillows were hard, tbe room chair was stained and overall just not a great room.

The bed was very uncomfortable. The room was dark and dreary. We did not get our room cleaned (we stayed two nights) and only got \"I\"m sorry\" when we complained. I would not recommend it at all.

Honestly it is not an 8 rating. We will say that they are trying. Rooms look freshly painted including the outside. Rooms present nice, looks like newer 2nd hand hotel furniture. Looks like new carpet. Had an odd smell (old smoke smell). The biggest thing is always first impressions. Walking into the “lobby” is odd. Like you are walking into someone’s family room. Again, they are for sure doing upgrades. They are definitely trying but we booked off the 8 and it’s not there.
