What can I say, I’m happy I found this place for my solo trip journey. Just what I needed, love the property and love everything about the staff. The staff is amazing and the property is well kept. Honestly you don’t have to leave the property if you don’t want to. There’s literally everything there. I like the idea of having a second infinity pool that’s more kids friendly. Food and drinks were good. I can’t wait come back here.

Our room was very clean and well appointed. The food was excellent, the pool and bar staff were also really good. My only criticism was they seemed understaffed, as the service times seemed a bit too long and that was directly due to staffing (we waited 25 minutes just to have someone take or dinner order the last night we were there.

Regardless, we will be coming back.

Outstanding! The ocean view villas and property are amazing! I feel the pictures on the website don’t do it justice. Breakfast was included each morning as well. This place is amazing! Our recent visit to Veranda Resort Hotel was a last minute decision based on an unplanned trip to Roatan. However, we were lucky to find very affordable rates through Travelocity, which proved to be a steal. What we found was an amazing 5 star accomodations that began with our check-in, assisted by a young lady named Sam, followed up by dinner, and a personable staff, headed by the Manager Hector, who introduced us to several local drink options, and his staff. my stay at las verandas was an absolute dream. safety was my main concern as a solo traveler and i must say i felt very safe at the property. They had guards patrolling the area. Shoutout to Sam, the receptionist, she was great!!! very friendly and knowledgeable of the island and activities. The room was clean and well kept.

The grounds were beautiful. There was a bit of a big problem as we had huge cockroaches and lots of bugs got into our clothes. It was hard to find a place to keep toothbrushes so that bugs wouldn't get in. It was quiet l, but remote. A car is recommended. Staff was nice, but didn't seem very experienced. We tried eating several times in the restaurant or bar, but they literally never got the order right. It took so long to get the food, it was hard to send it back and face more wait times. But I'm a pescatarian and they kept bringing me food with meat, though I'd ordered a vegetarian meal. One day my son ordered a burger and got some steak and lobsterv dish that wasn't even on the menu. It cost an extra $50, but we just let him eat it versus waiting another hour. We eventually just rented a car and ate outside of the resort.

Excelente servicio de todo el personal, instalaciones impecables y de muy buen gusto, con la observación que el área de la ducha en la habitación tiene piso de azulejo liso, no es antiderrapante, lo cual puede ser peligroso para quien la usa. La comida excelente. Lo único que falló fue la coordinación de mi transporte de salida, pero al final lo solucionaron. Un detalle al llegar a la habitación es que había una botella de vino en su cubeta con hielo y copas, pero no especifican si es de cortesía o si tiene un costo adicional.

Mi estancia en Las Verandas no fue del todo grata. A pesar de tener una reserva pagada en Expedia, me pidieron tarjeta de crédito y quisieron sacar una fotocopia, lo cual rechacé por seguridad. Esto no debería hacerse. Como miembro VIP de Expedia, solicité un upgrade (beneficio indicado en la plataforma), pero la recepcionista dijo no saber nada y nunca me dio seguimiento.

La habitación se veía limpia, pero el sofá tenía manchas y una quemadura. El servicio de limpieza no lavó una taza usada en la cafetera. En dos ocasiones encontré la puerta trasera de la habitación semiabierta tras haberla cerrado, lo cual generó desconfianza.

Expedia indica que el desayuno está incluido, pero solo ofrecen agua filtrada o café; cualquier otra bebida se cobra, algo que deberían aclarar. El menú es limitado y en varias ocasiones no contaban con los platillos ofrecidos. La playa del hotel es rocosa, con muchas algas, y poco disfrutable en comparación con otras de la isla. Además, hay muchos mosquitos.

Lo positivo: el personal de bar y restaurante fue amable, a diferencia del trato frío en recepción. El lugar está bien mantenido, pero los servicios no están a la altura de lo que anuncian. Le falta mucho para ser un hotel de calidad.

I LOVED this place. The staff responded to all of our needs. We had a medical issue and they went above and beyond to assist us amd constantly checked on us to see if we needed anything. Enrique the front desk manager was amazing. The place was so clean and staff so nice and helpful. We are already planning our next time to visit and sending the property link to all of our friends. A Last-Minute Lifesaver – Truly a Hidden Gem!

After a terrible experience at our original resort, we booked this place last minute on the same day we checked in — and wow, what a blessing it turned out to be! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine kindness and professionalism. Despite the short notice, our room was ready, clean, and refreshingly cool — just what we needed after a long, stressful day. The beds were super comfy, the views were beautiful, and everything about the property felt peaceful, safe, and family-friendly.

Once you’re settled in, trust me — you won’t want to leave! The resort has it all: beach access, a relaxing pool, delicious food, and even water activities right on-site. It’s tucked away in a lovely area, so having a rental car is helpful if you want to explore, but they do offer car services if needed.

One of our favorite parts was the included breakfast. It wasn’t just your standard grab-and-go — we got to sit down and order from a full à la carte menu with plenty of tasty options. As a family of five, not having to rush out in the morning to find food was a huge plus!

Every concern or request we had was addressed quickly by the staff, who were consistently attentive and helpful throughout our stay.

After five days here, we left refreshed, happy, and already planning our next trip back. This resort truly turned our vacation around — highly recommend!

The property was very beautiful and clean.The staff were very kind and helpful. The included breakfast was good.However, a lot of the food options weren't available, meaning for omelettes one day there was no mushrooms or spinach. The menu to choose from could be better and the \"buffet\" should greatly be improved. We were happy with the carrot muffins, but otherwise, it was very lacking. The prices for food is super high. The resort is far out in the cut, did not know that. You NEED transportation. The transformation the resort offers is way higher than private companies. There needs to be way more activities for guests since the report is far out. That part was disappointing. Some things should be free, like yoga.

My stay at las Verandas was comfortable, the staff are amazing everything that I was looking forward to, everything was clean the place is just beautiful. One thing that I would say is that if your staying for a week or more rent a car and go eat at a different restaurant since they only have 1 restaurant available for lunch and dinner, food was delicious, I would of liked if they had more options on the menu, but other then that I would definitely be coming back to Las Verandas.

Our stay at this hotel was truly exceptional, largely due to the outstanding staff. The customer service at the front desk was professional and always attentive to guests' needs. The team at the restaurant deserves special mention for their caring, knowledgeable, and friendly demeanor, making every meal a delightful experience. Their attentiveness and professionalism made us feel right at home.

The housekeeping team, especially Doris, Verona, and Wendy, ensured our room was impeccably clean every day, for which we are very thankful.

Although the location requires quite a drive, the journey is well worth it once you arrive. The serene surroundings and top-notch service make it a priceless getaway. We had an amazing time and can't wait to return.

Our stay Las Verandas was an incredible experience! My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and feel like we hit the jackpot. The property is located on a private road and away from the main tourist areas, but only a 30 minute ride to places like West End or Mohagany Bay if you’re looking for a fun night out. It was really nice to have the option to go out and socialize in town but then come back to the sounds of crashing waves and native birds. A true oasis.

The property is gorgeous and well-maintained, the rooms are stunning with high-end amenities, comfortable bedding and mattresses, amazing pool options, and an awesome restaurant! But the best part of our stay was the staff. Everywhere we went on the property, staff went out of their way to check on us, speak to us, and give us recommendations for things to do on our first trip to Roatan. I can’t wait to return and actually check out these recommendations, but for this trip we were so content with the service and luxury of Las Verandas that we hardly left the property. I am already looking into booking our next stay later this year. Do not miss your chance to stay at Las Verandas!

We spent 4 wonderful nights at this property. It is away from the crowds of the main tourist locations on Roatan. The sunset views from our villa plunge pool were absolutely stunning. The entire experience from transportation from the airport upon arrival with Kenny, front desk reception Roberto and team to drinks and breakfast daily in the poolside bar/restaurant with Isaac and Sherice(apologies for misspelling), and dinner in Las Pergolas was amazing. We didn’t get to experience all that is located here including the golf course, scuba diving, and other water activities at the beach club so we plan on visiting again soon!

We stayed 6 days and 5 nights. The staff were all very nice, welcoming, and accommodating. The villa was amazing and so was the view! The ocean/beach was so clear, relaxing, and warm. They only had 2 restaurants, but the food and drinks were delicious. We will definitely be spinning the block on this place!

Amazing views and property

My family of 4 stayed in a villa for 2 nights at the end of our Roatan vacation. The villa was spacious, clean, and had the most amazing views. All staff were very helpful and friendly. The main restaurant seemed short staffed, had no fruit for smoothies, and yet what staff was there were clearly doing their best. Some of the resort is showing its age, and yet it was still such a peaceful, gorgeous place to relax in Roatan. Would definitely go back.

The property was lovely, there were very limited food options this time of year with the restaurant and bar being open only a couple hours at a time, and the kitchen not stocking the food on the menu. Totally understandable as it’s off-season, but makes it more challenging to stay on a property without restaurants or markets in the area. Staff were friendly, generous, and lovely to get to know.

Room was amazing, housekeeping Services were prompt and efficient. Front desk staff was inquisitive and courteous. Yony helped to attend to all of our needs, and the team helped make my partners birthday a huge success! Jose at the bar is one of the hardest working and most talented bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet! Far from the West End so expect to pay for transportation or rent a car if you intend to go, but if you’re looking to eat, swim, and relax in comfort this is the place to be!

To start, I have paid for a partial Oceanview. We did not get this. The staff was not friendly at all, it seemed like they were doing us a favor when we asked for something. The most disappointing part is that there is nothing to do on this beautiful property, the property is beautiful, but it’s extremely boring to stay there. The pools are maintained very well. The property is also kept beautifully like I said. Everything close at 9 PM, we weren’t even able to get a bottle of water after that. They asked us to call from the rooms if we need anything, however, our phone was completely dead. I think this facility could eventually be amazing, however, I would not stay there again. I think the only good thing about this property is that I feel they maintain it. Well, I think the worst part is the customer service. We couldn’t even get any help on any type of excursion, they couldn’t even tell us where beaches were, the only thing they mentioned, was a nearby bar that belonged to another resort

Great Potential; But Needs TLC

This is an absolutely beautiful resort with huge potential. We have stayed there 4x in the last 6 months, primarily for business. My primary complaint in the past has been wrt internet service, but that has been improved so that I can now do zoom calls in the room - before I had to go to the restaurant to get enough bandwidth to do a zoom. Still not great, but seems to be 20-30Mbps. We have had issues with having room serviced/cleaned - even when calling front desk and requesting. No soap was provided; even after cleaning. We made due with soft soap in cylinder in shower. Most significant issue we encountered were that the shower barely drizzled water. My business partner encountered the same. So there seems to be an overall plumbing issue along the top row of resort rooms and suites.

This resort has major promise. It’s newly taken over so the staff is limited as well as the villas are not fully built. The plumbing is an issue. They just have just turned on our water to the villa we rented but didn’t run it to allow for pressure and rust to flow out. Took up 10 minutes to turn all faucets and showers on to clear the dirty water and air out of the lines. But they hook up the garden hoses to the water sources of the villas to water the grass and landscaping and there were multiple mornings where we had a drizzle of water to shower with. The villa had some wear and tear and the tiles around the pool edge were missing so you could cut your hands. The sand fleas are bad everywhere. Not just beach. But on our villa deck. Talking to a local they need to treat the soil and landscaping with something instead of just watering the source. No one wants to come back with red bites all over their body. Get a rental car for sure. Taxis will over charge. We didn’t see any upper management presence but the three gentleman who ran the check in desk and concierge were amazing. Overall this place has the potential to be incredible they just need to fix a few things before they have a ton of guests and can’t handle with the state of the amenities at the moment.

My husband and I were looking for a relaxing resort in Roatan, and this was it! We were able to enjoy the beauty of the island peacefully. The staff at Las Verandas were great. Oscar and the restaurant/bar staff (Anthony & Jose especially) were so kind and helpful with things to see and explore around the island.

We also appreciated Robert from the reception staff calling prior to our arrival to ensure we had transportation from the airport. We thought that was an especially nice touch to our stay.

We would definitely stay here again!

Lots to love - picturesque, lovely setting, great swimming pool, quiet, clean, very well cared for grounds. Beautiful to look at. I had a very restful stay.
However for price point a lot is missing - very restricted restaurant hours (closes very early) no in room coffee, breakfast not until 7.30am - very late for 1st coffee of morning, bar was closed for private event night I was there - terrible for such an isolated location as there was nowhere else to go except empty restaurant, had to leave a credit card just to get beach towel. This place has so much potential and is very pretty but needs work on facilities

Stunningly beautiful resort. Awesome Pete Dye championship golf course. Beautiful Beach Club. Only drawback - very poor spotty internet throughout the resort. I had about a dozen zoom calls during the week, and I did not complete a single one due to slow unstable internet. Trying to dial in was even difficult, as for some reason tones weren't recognized when trying to enter meeting ID and pass code. Internet could be up to 70 Mbps, but often dropped to below 3 Mbps. Room internet especially slow, so had to go to restaurant for zoom calls. This was our second time here in last 6 months, same experience.

Great facility and grounds for peace and tranquility.

The property was situated on a very quiet private beach that allows you to feel like you have your own little piece of paradise. The rooms are air conditioned and clean with very nice bathroom facilities consisting of spacious showers and comfortable bed and living room. If you are lucky enough to get a villa with a private pool, the experience and view are even better. The food and drinks were also amazing and affordable with all day access. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a private rejuvenating experience.

Beautiful villa on a sprawling property. The grounds are gorgeous and the views are breathtaking. The private beach is so peaceful. We stayed in a two floor, two bedroom villa with a private pool. The service was amazing!! Shout out to Johnny and Robert for always answering our questions and making our stay memorable!!

PS - the whole fried snapper at Palapa Grill was absolutely delicious!!
