I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. There is a lovely bar/restaurant where I had dinner the night I arrived. The food was great and the staff were very efficient and very friendly. Hotel has plenty of parking close to reception. Great location as it is only a short drive to Belfast. Thanks to Ciaran and his staff for making my stay so enjoyable.

I stayed here for a week. I was greeted with a warm welcome on check in. The room was clean and tidy.
The restaurant was always busy and the food was served hot and plenty of options on the menu. They had a good wine list too.
I will stay again as it was a good atmosphere which is needed when you want to chill and relax after work.

Great rooms, service and breakfast!

A really nice hotel with very decent sized rooms and fitted out to a very high standard. The service is also excellent especially in the bar where the drinks never go dry!
A really nice place that my friends and I all said we would return to.
Don’t forget to try the superb Ulster Fry as well!

The property is a lovely, clean and well kept place with a great menu and really nice well portioned food offering in the evening. However the breakfast is a continental breakfast from 0700-0900 then cooked breakfast from 0900 until 1100am. This meant that there was no option for me to enjoy the cooked breakfast as I was travelling for work and had to be out of the hotel well before 0900am. . Most business travelers will be out before the cooked breakfast offering is available which is why most other hotels offer a cooked breakfast from 0630. Just something to consider!

Very comfortable stay

The Ballymac is a lovely hotel in a quiet, rural location. The room was very comfortable and clean. It was very warm though, even when I tried to turn down the heater.

The staff were very polite and attentive. However, they were absent at times at the reception. Not a huge issue except if you need to speak to someone about getting a table at the restaurant for instance.

The food in the restaurant was quite exceptional and prices were fair. Food arrived promptly when ordered and it tasted great! My biggest negative point was having to wait until after 9am to get a cooked breakfast. Before 9am is continental only.

Will book again.

The hotel looks good but there are underlining signs lack of staff current staff over worked. Poor customer service. Booked through Expedia who failed to make booking which was a really inconvenient when we arrived. Not the hotel or booking platform’s finest hour. It’s ok to get things wrong but it’s how you put it right that matters and both establishments blamed each other the present customer suffers and I am putting this out there so future customers don’t have to! In a nutshell don’t use Expedia to book a hotel!
