Ideal location, a few minutes walk from Grand Central Station in one direction and the main high street in the other. This is really good if you want to use one of early morning excursions from City Hall.
Reception staff are always pleasant and really helpful, we arrived early and were able to drop our bags meaning we could make the most of our time before checking in.
Only downside to our stay was that day to day housekeeping left a little to be desired.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Leonardo in Belfast. The room was well-maintained, modern and very comfortable. The receptionist was friendly, professional and helpful with directions and tourist suggestions. There is a very convenient parking garage around the corner with discounts for hotel guests. The hotel is located in the heart of Belfast, close to restaurants, shops, public transportation and Belfast City Hall. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Please note not all hotel rooms have air conditioning. We were not made aware of this. Our room was a veritable oven. We faced the busy street and had to have our window open to allow cooler evening air in. Consequently it was very noisy because of street traffic. I slept hardly a wink. We were given fans that barely circulated air. Not a pleasant experience.

The hotel was in a very central location which means close to the most central train/bus station, loads of food options and within walking distance to city centre and attractions.
However please note they provide the bare minimum in the room. So take even your wash cloth etc.

Worst Hotel I have stayed at in 10 years. I normally trust the ratings of Hotels.com, but this was not as advertised. Upon entering the hotel, the strong scent of bleach and cleaning product was very evident, like they were trying to cover up something bad that had happened. The common areas need some maintenance... the elevator bays were all scratched up and neglected. The room smelled of the same bleach scent and windows were fully open upon arrival (again; like they're trying to cover something up). Poor lighting, horrible pillows... just an awful stay and not worth the $200+ per night I paid. BEWARE! Stay across the street at the Fitzwilliam for $100 more. Leonardo should be rated *good* at the highest. Nothing more

Ok for a short stay but if I was staying longer the stains on the carpet would need to be sorted out!

No air conditioning. When asked they said Executive rooms has this facility, which was not advertised - for any of their rooms when checked.

Cleaning not brilliant at times. Dirty glassware left for the entirety of the stay (3 nights) and a dirty teaspoon, used by us, returned to the coffee making facilities.

Some front of house staff very helpful, others not so. On check-in listening to how much some of them had been drinking at the weekend was unprofessional. However, others were extremely professional.

My wife and her friend stayed for 3 days. The property was dated and rooms were basic but clean. However the biggest let down was the staff, there was no one to check them in on arrival. They did not have any breakfast items as by the time ( and they were within the allocated times) most of things had run out. the staff were extremely rude did not want to refill , eventually my wife had to go get someone from reception to sort some breakfast.
Also one of the days the house keeping entered their room, while they were in and did not wait for them to open the door. he then went to say \" if you need anything now is the time to ask otherwise we will not be able to help\"

extremely disappointed in the experience and we wil not be staying there again.

The positive is the location but the attitude and number of staff need to improve to make a difference !

Every staff member that we dealt with were probably the best I've ever encountered. All were extremely friendly and quick to serve. I feel the young host at breakfast needs a helper. He was checking people in for breakfast while also cleaning and setting up the tables, which created a long line at times. He's definitely a good little worker and deserves to only have to do one or the other. The room itself was very nice and clean, however, the carpeting and the comforter under the duvet had some seriously large stains. The hotel is also within walking distance of the train station and all the restaurants and shops, making it an ideal location if not renting a car. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. It's close by to the train station, cafes and restaurants and all major points of interest. I seen a lot of complaints about there being no AC or the windows not opening, but this is not true! there is AC and the windows do open! we had a pleasant stay, the only thing to keep in mind is that this hotel will host various stag and hen parties, so if you're looking for a more quiet location..perhaps stay elsewhere.

I stayed at Leonardo Hotel Belfast with my family during a busy weekend, and unfortunately the experience fell short.

We booked a room for four (double bed + sofa bed) with city view, but had to move as the sofa bed was broken. The option presented was a smaller room (double + single bed) overlooking a noisy alley due to garbage and laundry activity. We understood the hotel was full, but it was a clear downgrade.

Housekeeping was inconsistent. Despite requesting service, our room wasn’t cleaned until day two, and one staff member responded abruptly when we enquired “not my room”. When housekeeping did arrive, it was at 4pm—just as we returned to get ready for the evening and in the end wasn’t ever cleaned well.

There were also basic comfort issues: the single bed was unstable and rolled when you sat on it, and we were initially given only one towel for a room meant for four guests.

Finally, the in-room tech felt outdated. The smart TV wasn’t properly connected and didn’t allow access to streaming services like Netflix, which feels standard in most places.

While we appreciate how busy the hotel was, these issues impacted our stay. Improvements in room maintenance, housekeeping responsiveness, and basic amenities would make a big difference.

We didn't get breakfast, just a drink in the bar the night before, good selection. The rooms are the usual layout. When the windows are closed, theres still a lot of outside noise. My hubby hates staying in hotels because of all the noise but we had a decent night's sleep, until the morning at 9, when the occupant next door decided to hammer at the wall, like he was putting nails in to hang up pictures. We were only there for one night.

Only one member of staff on the desk during check in, which meant long queues. The room was ok, tea and coffee selection poorly stocked (only decaf on day one and sugars not replenished). A previous guest had stuck false eye lashes on the bathroom door handle, these were still in place upon us checking out, which makes me really question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. No where to really hang towels to dry, so ended up having them changed each day.

The hotel location is great for being in the city centre, but the beds are small, rooms can be noisy and there is no air con in the room, so either freezing cold or really warm.

The bar and reception area are very well kept, but the rooms really let the hotel down.

Premier inn without the purple. Disappointed given the 4 star rating. Nothing in the room stood out. Award for the world’s worst door stop in the bathroom placed right in front of the toilet ensuring everyone leaves with a broken toe. Single bed which is not child friendly which you almost need a step ladder to reach as a child.
Toilets in bar area not clean at all. Bar ran out of multiple drinks over the weekend. Not family friendly in the evening.
Noisy overnight whether it be people or bin men or other staff work outside (we had inside room allocated).
Check in slow although we got lucky based on queues on other days.
Couldn’t get our room cleaned one day so at 4pm had to ask for clean towels.
Location great but that the only positive really.
