We were met promptly by a very friendly lady who took us to our room and explained things. Very comfortable,clean and warm, not a huge room but everything we needed. Only minus was a badly stained towel in bathroom
Our dinners were excellent, fabulous lamb rack, beautifully cooked and chicken dish so good my friend had it on both evenings. The breakfasts were really good too, excellent friendly service and lovely food. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay again

The stay was very accommodating from arrival to check out with friendly and cheerful staff. Didn’t have breakfast due to early start but it was offered from half 7am. The location was quiet and the rooms were nicely laid out with lovely hot shower.

On the app the pictures shown for our room (Elmleaze) a picture of a bath and other pictures definitely not taken in this room. The shower cubicle screen door opens directly into the main room area so that anyone else in the room could see you having a shower! Your towel and clothes also had to be outside the cubicle. No privacy at all. Also no wardrobe, just a few clothes hangers on a hook at the back of the door. Not very convenient.

Everything about the Cat and Custard Pot was perfect. They were extremely welcoming offering advice and help. The room was spotless and had everything you needed. The evening meal was delicious. The basil linguine was the best pasta I had had outside Italy. We thoroughly recommend this place.

To be honest the rating is solely down to the lovely way the staff handled the check in and evening meal.
The room itself would be a 2 star. I was in the roof, the stair case leading to was steep, the room door small and oddly shaped, the access to the bathroom was through a tiny weird shaped door, photo below. I sustained a brain injury a few years ago, so navigating to odd space was a challenge. There should be a disclosure about this room.

Perfect one night stay
Stayed at The Cat and Custard Pot for one night, to enable us to get to the Badminton Horse Trials without having to endure the horrendous queues driving up on a Saturday morning! Such a good decision - it was easy to find with a large car park, pretty outside area to have a drink in the sunshine, we had a delicious evening meal with excellent service, our room (Home Guard) was spotlessly clean, had a really comfy bed, great en-suite, coffee/tea machine and bottles of water. Didn’t need breakfast as we checked out early to get to Badminton before the queues! It was the perfect start to our weekend and we would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

We dined in restaurant the food was excellent hubby had ribeye steak and I tried the belly pork with crushed potatoes leeks and apple sauce and cider which was the most delightful plate of food I’ve had in a long time the staff were very helpful and the breakfast very good would definitely recommend this establishment you will not be disappointed

After coming for a delicious Sunday lunch last year we knew we wanted to come back again for a relaxing night away without our kids. The Cat and Custard Pot is a charming historic venue in a pretty little village with lots of character. The roast beef was excellent and it was lovely to chill for the rest of the evening in the pub. Our room was light, clean and nicely furnished and we had a peaceful night, followed by a tasty breakfast the next morning. Overall good value for a relaxing night away in the countryside, we'll be back again.

What a great stay. From the moment we walked in the door we were made welcome. Our room was comfortable, beautifully decorated and spotless. Dinner was delicious and reasonable with nothing too much trouble and breakfast was the same. We are planning on coming back with friends as one night in such a pretty area just wasn’t enough.

This was truly an “Pub with and Inn” experience. The Cat in the Custard is the hub of this small Cotswold village, so we felt like travelers in time. Our room was in the eaves and very tiny so we moved to a larger one - both were lovely. The food is very good, and the breakfast hot and plentiful.

Cute place. Nice staff. We actually tried to walk to Westonbirt Arboretum and this mom & daughter picked up us when they said us walking in the rain even though they were going to the opposite way. The daughter, Francesca, happened to work at The Cat & Custard Pot Inn! Just shows she’s also kind outside of work. Then Gemma in the restaurant served us d was very pleasant. She recommended the Parma with Burrata pizza which was really delicious.

Super close to the Arboretum if you are coming for a show. My only complaint: no cats were to be found 😀 Highly recommended.

We were in Guard Room. We like dogs but there were such a lot in the rooms & restaurant it felt unhygienic. Although the place is a dog friendly accommodation, it was more like Planet of the Dogs. Don't think they should be allowed to be on the chairs & tables.

We spent a relaxing evening enjoying the inn's comforts and delights. Great beer selection and a superb meal, all topped off with attentive and engaging staff.

The perfect place to explore the Cotswolds.
The place is really cool, local family owned and operated, their cordiality and conviviality is par none, they pamper you and offer all kind of help, be it what to do or where to buy local beer to take home. Rooms are simple but comfortable and clean, even though there is a pub/restaurant downstairs the noise dies down at 9pm even on a Saturday, the street is quiet and you can sleep very comfortably. The included breakfast has all the options you mat want, the restaurant serves a limited menu but everything is delicious, from pub fare to home made roasts, as an alternative there is a pizza place in the backyard, the Italian chef prepares delicious pies and was delighted to speak Italian with my wife. All in all the perfect place to explore the Cotswolds.

Beautiful B&B with plenty of parking on the road and also in a private car park to the rear of the property. Breakfast each morning was incredible - literally couldn't fault it, and the welcome we received was so warm and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely traditional English pub in a beautiful area. Staff were very friendly, professional. Room was quirky as you would expect in an old building. Dinner and breakfast was very good. Only improvement I would recommend would be some background music during the quieter times.

We stayed 2nts having previously visited by chance for dinner. Very dog friendly (ours was a bit barky - apologies to other guests!). Room was comfortable and very clean. Dinner was good - breakfast excellent. Breakfast hostess was absolutely lovely friendly but not intrusive - a real asset to the place. Didn't much care for the bar manager but believe he was agency so will probably not be there long. Lovely area to visit and would definitely recommend this place for staying or just dining.
