A Must Stay for Relaxation!

Perfect location! Approximately 5-7 minutes walk to the beach. Quiet and charming. The garden is very beautiful and therapeutic. I can't wait to stay longer. My daughter and I decided to take the train from Paris and stay in Nice but I'll stay longer next time. The guy at the front desk was very warm, friendly and nice. Everyone was super friendly!

I loved this historic property. It was tastefully decorated and well maintained. A beautiful blend of modern convenience and timeless elegance. Small, European rooms and bathrooms as is expected, but very comfortable and had everything we needed. Old Nice is a walk or short bike ride away. Train station location 5 minute walk. Highly recommend!

This hotel was such a lovely stay. My room was small but efficient with plenty of storage and was quite comfortable. I enjoyed the breakfast, simple but a great start to the day. And the garden was a plus for relaxing! The location is away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk everywhere.

We have stayed at the Hotel Villa Rivoli twice now, once in 2016 and once recently in July 2025. Both times, the service has been excellent. We especially loved the beautiful rooms and the great breakfast on offer. The small garden area is lovely and the hotel does not feel overcrowded. It is very convenient to walk around Nice from this location. Our children loved it as well.

A really lovely, friendly hotel in prime location. Just a few streets back from Negreso Hotel. Typical old French style building so be prepared there is no lift. There is a discount on sub beds at one of the beaches if you mention the hotel.

Fantastic location in the Musiciens district. The Negresco was at the bottom of the street and the station a 12 min walk. Lots of nice cafes and places to eat and close to Rue de France and the pedestrian area. Hotel is very lovely and quirky. Beautiful buildings all around. If I lived in Nice, I’d live in this area.

I stayed here with my partner recently, I will say it contributed to one of the most memorable, enjoyable holidays I have ever had. Firstly the location is perfect, it is near almost everything and within brief walking distance from the promenade, the building itself is beautiful and quaint. The rooms themselves are equally as serene, each is unique in some way which I really appreciate, a very charming, eclectic mix. What’s more, the staff themselves were so hospitable and made our experience all the more easy, especially the younger girl with auburn hair who helped us with our bags. Considering the time we had, I still can’t fathom the price, I have stayed at the Randolph and would confidently say this hotel’s rooms and staff far surpass that.

This was our first 2 nights of a 2 week honeymoon. The staff was very friendly and overall the property was quaint, but the rooms themselves were a bit too small and outdated. It definitely has a Euro bed and breakfast vibe to it, so if you like that thing, go for it.

Negative: The showers were very small and temperamental. The curtains did a poor job of keeping water in the showers, so both showers would leak water into the rest of bathroom.

Don't be fooled by the photo

We were given a tiny room on the ground floor next to reception - it really should have been a single. The room was tired and not very welcoming - there was laminate missing from the tea / coffee making area, the door frame in the bathroom was so rotten at the bottom, the hinge was barely attached. The icing on the cake was the lack of hot water in the shower - it was a bank holiday in France, the hotel had no alternative rooms and the Busby they proposed to move us to had awful reviews. We stayed the night ( enduring the tepid water) and found an alternative for the second night of our stay. To be fair, the staff were polite and helpful and offered a room reduction for the nigh we stayed.

This is such a cute place! Very close to the waterfront, walkable to restaurants, and an easy walk to the train station.
The beds were comfortable and I loved we could open the ‘terrace’ doors to let fresh air come in. There was A/C, and a cute courtyard with places to sit and enjoy.
The bedroom was in the small side, but it had a wardrobe and was comfortable enough. The bathroom shower was super tiny, but we made it work. It’s a lovely place and very French. Super cute

Our room was on the lower floor (ground level), there was mold in the bathroom, and the shower was leaking. The staff themselves were very pleasant, and I am grateful to them for their work! However, the conditions of the hotel leave much to be desired; it is dirty, moldy, and the furniture in the room is old and emits an odor.

We had a wonderful time. The hotel was of its location, very French and delightful, just the place for a short break in the south of France. Location was great, easy to walk everywhere and staff were so friendly and helpful. We will go back!

L’albergo è situato in una buona posizione centrale e la camera doppia era carina anche se molto piccola e con un forte odore di fogna provenire dal bagno, tuttavia devo dare una stella a questo albergo per il trattamento che ho ricevuto.
In breve, nella camera si sentiva costantemente, a intervalli regolari di un minuto, un rumore di vibrazione molto fastidioso che rendeva difficile l’addormentarsi. Ho chiesto alla reception al mattino se fosse possibile controllare la causa di questa vibrazione e risolverla. Il ragazzo che era alla reception in quel momento molto gentilmente mi ha risposto che avrebbe controllato. Alla sera, poiché il suono di vibrazione continuava insistentemente, sono tornato alla reception per chiedere se si era capita l origine del rumore. La signora alla reception (bionda, con i capelli a caschetto ed occhiali) mi ha riso in faccia dicendomi che non poteva risolvere in alcune modo il problema e che l’albergo era tutto pieno. Faccio presente che non avevo chiesto un cambio di stanza, ma semplicemente se si fosse capito il motivo del rumore e fosse possibile risolverlo. In ogni caso, la receptionist ha continuato a rispondere in modo arrogante e altezzoso, arrivando a dire che non era un suo problema e che non era lei la titolare dell’albergo, e in quanto dipendente non era interessata a risolvere la questione.
Alla fine, sono tornato in stanza senza aver risolto il problema e con l’amaro in bocca. A riprova della malafede, non ha voluto dirmi il nome.

Great location. 10-min walk to the Nice Ville train station, 5-min walk to the beach. We used the hotel as a crash-pad for 4 adults. Room was tight, bathroom was smaller but we somehow managed. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed the lovely breakfast/garden area, but there was confusion during checkout on whether breakfast was included with the booking (check the booking details carefully!).
Staff was very kind.
Expensive hotel for what you get, but we paid for the location and it delivered on that.

Great little place to stay in Nice, close to everything. Staff pleasant - carried our bags upstairs for us as there is no lift. Breakfast simple but filling, and woman serving breakfast was lovely. Room was large with a balcony. Bathroom good size and functional. Only mild issue we had was when we arrived bang on check in time (we'd had a looong transit to Nice so were keen to rest), we were initially treated less than great, like we were an inconvenience and told quite matter-of-factly (to put it nicely) that it would be half an hour until our room was ready. We were allowed to wait in the lounge until then and later the person at reception was quite apologetic, and helpful, maybe they were busy/frazzled/running behind, but the initial greeting kind of left a bad first impression.

Couldn’t ask for better!

I can not say enough wonderful things about the staff at the hotel especially the two young women at reception. We had a problem with a leased car and they were so understanding - did we need to stay another day or leave. Whatever we needed they were always there to help. So efficient and welcoming. We will definitely return. I can’t say enough about how professionally we were treated. The room was very nice, great location. Excellent all around. Great value for money. Bravo!

This is a little gem. Elegant and charming. In a stunning villa. Beautifully decorated. Wonderful staff. Nothing was a problem. So close to the beach but just far enough away from things so its quiet and serene. Has a lovely garden where you can have a drink or breakfast. Adorable.

The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach. The hotel is beautiful and our room was very nice with a small balcony that overlooked the street below. Breakfast was excellent with several vegetarian options. The number 2 tram stop that will also take you to the airport is a 5 minute walk.

The hotel was in a great location, only one block to the beach and great public transportation options were near by. The room was small but for one person it was fine. The only thing I didn't like was the high price of bottled water in the room. I thought it should be free especially since the room didn't have a refrigerator.

A lovely old villa in the heart of Nice only 5 minutes from the Promenade des Anglais. Staff friendly and helpful. Decor is quaint and typically French. Needs some repairs and has no lift or modern amenities but to be expected in a property of this age. Very quaint and a perfect spot to explore Nice. The breakfast was lovely too.

The staff was nice and friendly. However we were given the room next to the reception and it was so loud you could hear anyone that was coming into the hotel. The door was hard to open, the room felt stuffy and the bathroom was so small that you didn’t have any place to put your shampoo and toiletries (when showering you actually had to get out of the shower to grab shampoo, soap etc unless you were to place it all on the shower floor). On top of this you could barely move inside the shower itself. The following day we even found an insect crawling in there. The only great part of this hotel is it’s proximity to the beach!
