Staff were all really great. Helpful, friendly and I really felt I was appreciated as a guest, that’s becoming a rare thing, except at this hotel. The breakfast was also noteworthy - I personally enjoyed the Portuguese breakfast options, but there was also a wide selection of other things that I think most would appreciate. My room and bed was very comfortable and had a nice balcony over the garden. WiFi great. Plenty of shops and restaurants within minutes.

The bathroom was the only thing that let it down - the shower door didn’t fit properly so the shower leaked every time we used it, and the glass door to the bathroom didn’t close properly so there wasn’t much sound proofing between the room and the bathroom.
Breakfast was 10/10. Lots of healthy (and unhealthy!) options, and fresh eggs cooked to order.
Location is excellent, just outside the centre of the centre, within a short walk of all the major attractions.

The reception staff are very friendly and helpful. The kitchen and dining area staff are exceptional. The breakfasts have a great variety, and snacks and drinks are available in the dining area all day. The hotel is in a great location and is walkable to various restaurants and meeting points for tours. The hotel room is cozy and well-designed with enough drawers and counter space. I didn’t give a five-star rating for the property because the bathroom door was not sealed well. Every time after a shower, the bathroom and toilet floors are flooded. I saw similar complaints from previous guests. I guess the hotel always runs at full occupancy and may not have time to fix the problem permanently.

The room was OK, but the lack of soundproof really ruined the sleep quality. You can hear when the cars are passing, people above you moving or even taking a shower, or even someone who just talks a floor below you.. The shower feels that it will freeze you and then scald you in a second. The garden that looks pretty alright in the pictures, in the real life looks pretty meh.

Overall, I was impressed bu this hotel and the group of hotel SHIADO that run them, having stayed in 3 of their other properties in Lisboa & Porto. My room was of an excellent size.
Only faults: breakfast although very tasty and reasonably varied could get boring after three nights.
Unfortunately some HUAWEI free buds ear phones went missing on my last night in the hotel from my room. They may yet still be found at the hotel but... So do put everything in the safe just in case. Apart from that a wonderful stay here.

Due to Covid and weather conditions, we were moved to another hotel of the same group. Hotel room was exceptional!! We arrived after checkin had closed and checked out before it opened. The person responsible Anabela was wonderful and arranged a breakfast snack. All communication by phone. We are staying there again!!!

They should put a rug in the entrance where there are tile and no parquet or supply slippers, because it's cold to walk barefoot.

The breakfasts were wonderful and then being able to use the space there all day and eat any leftovers and drink coffee 24-7 was ideal. The staff were wonderful and the location was great. We really liked our room; however, it was far to hot on the 4th floor that we couldn’t sleep through the night. You can’t control the a/c in your room in the winter because the whole building is using heat and you can’t individually control your room. So we opened the windows but there are no screens to the windows so we got attacked by mosquitos all night. Also the elevator is super loud and you can hear it throughout the night very loud.

Loved my stay here - the staff had told me they recently opened the hotel, so things might not be so smooth - however, I found it 10/10! Very friendly staff and great room with a eco-friendly strategy. If you're looking for a quiet area but convenient to all the sights, this is the place to be!
