It was very hot and we weren't able to operate the air conditioner and bathroom door didn't close. We had advised reception but no one came and had to reach out again later in the evening as the room was unbearably warm. The hotel is old which was to be expected and the cleanliness was ok. The room is cleaned every other day so not sure how this is a 4 star hotel. There were alot of little flies and moths flying inside the room. Also, one of the pillows was dirty and didn't look like the case was cleaned. We tried to change hotels after the first day but would not allow us to. We paid alot of money for this room and expected much more. Was offered another room but was on the main floor and was a downgrade. We stayed in a 3 star in Lisbon and paid much less and received much better customer service.

Bedrooms were spacious & clean, beds were super comfortable.
Living room was beautiful, spacious, and had a very comfortable couch.
Kitchen had everything you would need.
Staff was helpful, easy check in/check out and walked you to your building.
No elevators, so might not be ideal if you have a lot of luggage but otherwise, this is an amazing place to stay at.

The 2 bedroom apart hotel was great. Walking distance into famous restaurants, the Sao Bento train station, Livraria Lello, Porto cathedral and etc. It was also very clean. However, there are tiny little ants in the floors walls especially in the smaller bedroom. There are some in the bathroom also and we saw 1-2 ants in the master bedroom bed. We had to buy an insect spray and sprayed everywhere. We did report it and they probably did something so mostly went away but we still saw a few after. It is probably just in the ground floor- 0. My brother in law’s room upstairs- floor 1 was really great with no ants.

Great accomodation. Building is renovated nicely to keep the historic character without the downsides of living in an old building. As most reviews have noted, there are no elevators which we expected. However, do note that floor 1 is actiously the floor above ground level... so if you were to request a unit on a specific floor, please keep that in mind. The unit was also fully stocked with all essentials for cooking which made it an easy stay.

Only stayed one night at unit 1B, 1 bedroom with terrace then moved to 2 bedroom the next 2 days when my daughter and her husband joining us. I like everything of this unit, very clean, the deep blue colour coordination look much better than it shown on the pics. Very friendly staff. I particular enjoy the garden view balcony/terrace, sitting out there was so relaxing, which I like the most among all. Wish I could stay longer.

Our apartment was very comfortable and the outdoor space was a very pleasant surprise. The receptionist was incredibly helpful, giving many useful suggestions for things to do. Check in and check out were very easy and the apartment is centrally located to the main shopping and sightseeing. I would definitely stay there again if visiting Porto.

This place is beautiful more than the photos on-line! The pictures does not do justice to what it really looks like. Has a Portugal old-vibe to it. Looks like it had been renovated, love the aesthetic especially the bathroom and has a full kitchen. Close to everything! The only thing we did not like is the attitude of one of the staff Beatrice .Cold, unfriendly and unwelcoming. I don’t think she likes her job! I don’t think we will ever go back to this hotel- didn’t know staff can treat guests like how she treated us!

Apartment and common areas were beautifully kept and exceptionally clean. The apartment and it's layout was very spacious even with the use of the sofa bed. Our only issue was with the shower. One was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The other took a lot of fiddling about with to get it to lukewarm. Other than that is was a great stay.

What bang for your buck!! We stayed in a spacious and beautiful two bedroom two bath apartment, which was more than we needed, and SO affordable. Check-in was very easy even after hours, and Ana across the street in the office is so sweet and helpful! We had a great time staying here, just a short walk from the water front, main shopping district and the main train terminal. We felt safe walking around at night and there are lots of great food options just up the street. We had such a great time!

This was a 3 level in this apartment and we live in the 3rd floor. There’s no elevator since this is an old building that were converted into. You would have to walk up and down the stairs for your daily workout. There’s a large living/dinning room and 2 bedroom with 2 full bathrooms. A long balcony connected to the whole apartment. It was beautiful. Since is located on the center of all the attractions that we can walk to get there. There’s a laundry store next to the apartment which is a pro. The con is at night the lighting in the apartment is terrible dark. It would be best if they have a better lighting system.

There was so much space in this 2 story unit with a private balcony and garden. The beds were comfortable and there are 1.5 baths. It is walking distance to everywhere. The train station is a 5 minute walk. The tour buses are around the corner. Very good value!

absolutely loved the lay out with the beautiful traditional tiles and stunning wooden floors. the garden was a oasis of green and tranquility. loved the upstairs and downstairs seating areas with the gorgeous doors leading out. the kitchen was well equipped and the beds comfy, the aircon was a fantastic plus.

the receptionist who checked us in was so lovely and friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Overall a good spot but had some issues.

Aparthotel Oporto Batalha was for the most part fine - had everything we needed, good neighborhood, quiet, and while it wasn't the fanciest, it mostly served our needs.

There were two issues encountered - one is that we weren't able to access our room until nearly 90 minutes after the check in window opened. We were told it would be \"just another X minutes\" which would then drag on and on. For just getting in on a red-eye, this really got old and we just wanted to see our room and decompress. The property manager was apologetic and offered us late check out in recompense, but that was not a selling point as our departure was planned for early morning.

The other issue was the beds - The mattresses were quite uncomfortable and had very scratchy sheets (got rugburn on my elbow from tossing and turning). woke up sore and with neck cricks quite a bit. After 4 nights we were ready to move on.

We have a mixed review for this property. We arrived after the reception was closed and the provided code to enter the Aparthotel did not work. We walked down the street to another hotel and they were kind enough to call the emergency line. It turns out we received an expired code in our email. Ana did apologize - all good. These things happen. The apartment was well equipped. Breakfast delivered in the morning came in paper bag and consisted of 3 bread buns of sorts, yogurt, juice, pear, coffee pod, water, jam and butter etc. All fresh and good. The apartment suited our needs. Having 2 bathrooms was nice with one on the main floor and one downstairs where the 2 beds were located. The location was central and walkable. For all these reasons it’s a good place to stay except the issue we had leaving the apartment at 5:00 am on our last day. The front door leading outside had been tricky to open (and I had read about that in other reviews) but we had managed, except that morning. The small knob under the main door knob used to open the door just kept spinning around. I can’t tell you how stressed we were as we had a train to catch and our UBER was waiting outside. We finally got the door open but not without an extra UBER charge for the wait. The door issue is definitely a safety issue. What if there was a fire? All in all, this Aparthotel is nice, staff friendly, but for us, the safety issue that morning was too concerning for us to return.

We stayed in apartment 1B and it was beautiful. It's basically a studio made to feel like a one bed, there are no real walls between the rooms. This means is very easy to wake up your travel companion, but if this is not an issue for you that's fine. The balcony is lovely and overlooks the ground floor garden - the only annoyance was that the outdoor music from a nearby hotel was always on and noticeable from the balcony.

A few improvements I noticed: more than 4 clothes hangers would by nice, the shower had no shelves to put your stuff on, and a tall mirror would be appreciated.

Overall, we loved our stay here, definitely recommend!

Good location. Manager was nice. Downstair room and bathroom were fine. Kitchen was ok. But there was a constant bad smell in the upstair living area from the small toilet, probably a sewer problem. Apartment and sheets were not clean enough. Garden needed to be kept up. Could not enjoy the garden area or deck because of construction noise and dust from all around. Parking garage recommendation and discount offered was appreciated.

We had a wonderful night at this property. I would highly recommend it! The only issue was that the check in procedure was long and the room we thought we booked was not the one pictured, it was still an amazing room, but not the one it looked like we booked via expedia. As they are apartments and not generic hotel rooms, we thought we were getting the room that was pictured in our booking. Never the less, it was still awesome! Great location, and incredible restaurant across the street! The staff were amazing and recommended great places to visit. Truly a great experience.

No elevator. Which means not recommended to whom carries big carriers.
We got to the hotel after the check-in time, but the room wasn't ready...
Staff told us sorry for not making in time, so they offered us to carry the carriers up to the floor.
But, we loved the fact that they had two bathrooms

Absolutely amazing aparthotel in great location

Superb stay in lovely aparthotel. Easy access to the main areas of Porto and transport links. Staff were amazing and really helpful in the run up to our stay. Would 100% recommend to anyone (especially families with young children)!
