This was an absolute gem of a find. Small, boutique style hotel at a very reasonable rate. Staff were incredible - super welcoming, friendly and fun - we really felt that we were being taken care of. Room was beautifully decorated, quiet and comfortable.
Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was amazing. Would 100% recommend.

Customer service at Prim and Proper is truly excellent and the hotel itself is fabulous, well maintained and beautiful with a real eye to detail. We enjoyed being located just outside of the historic area and the alternative options this offered for eating etc which we found to be excellent - including the hotels recommendation of O Freitas - just a few doors away and easily our best meal of the stay. We would definitely recommend and revisit Prim & Proper Porto.

Prim & Proper exceeded our expectations. The room was pristine. The attention to decors was impeccable. The staff were friendly and attentive. The breakfast was simply amazing and they did a great job customizing the food to your needs. The location is perfect—within walking distance to many sites and food spots. Would stay here again. Highly recommended!!!

The room was wonderful, the staff were super friendly and attentive. The breakfast was sometimes slower than others, but always good, you can also request if you wanted something a little different which is always great.

We always got fresh towels when needed and fresh sheets too.

There are some minor repairs needed in the rooms, due to water damage and it can get a little loud to the back from Thursday to Saturday (not all days it changes) but nothing crazy. A bigger fridge would also be better.

The locations is great, restaurants everywhere, also right next to the hotel, personal recommendations are: Kintsugi for a amazing crafted experience and Antú for Lunch.

Wonderful hotel. Beautiful interiors and amazing staff. Only thing is, when we booked the room it said there was a king bed in the room. All the rooms said king actually. It was not a king bed - it was a queen sized bed. So just be aware of that when booking. The hotel should probably adjust this on the site.

Spectacular Stay at Prim & Proper

Our stay was so enjoyable and lovely. The staff was welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were comfortable. Also, we were able to sleep very well thanks to blackout shutters. We had the breakfast every morning and it was delicious and the coffee fueled our Porto exploration. I have already told friends and family to stay here when they visit.

Prim and proper was a great stay, the rooms are perfect and the staff are friendly. The breakfast was good but don’t expect a big buffet. Good dining options nearby (casa Guedes, get the de casa). Would definitely stay again when in Lisbon.

We stayed for our honeymoon! The hotel was beautiful - very stylish!
The staff were wonderful and made our stay memorable by putting roses on our bed and a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival!
Breakfast was ok - basic choices and served a purpose.
One thing - the bed - it wasn’t good! This may be personal choice - my husband found it ok- but I woke up so sore every morning, I even used the pillows from the sofa because it was like using balloons otherwise. And we did loose our lights twice - the staff were apologetic and quick to rectify this however.
Other than this - our stay was wonderful!

The property doesn't have kerb appeal,but come inside and it's fabulous. The rooms are spacious and very clean, the location is fantastic right in the heart of the city.we only have one grumble and that is the breakfast as there is not enough staff and the two girls that were there was run off their feet, also not only the long wait but breakfast was cold. We do recommend this hotel but breakfast needs more staff.

Nuce quiet hotel

The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. They have transport service for a fee which was convenient. The kitchenette was a nice bonus on a multi day stay. Nespresso in room ( go to the Pingo around the corner and buy extra pods) was great because cafe’s don’t open as early as I wake up. The neighborhood is quiet in the morning, but gets livelier throughout the day.
We didn’t eat on site, so I can’t comment on the complimentary breakfast

I wasn’t going to write a review but the way the customer service was I have no choice. What an awful experience and even worse customer service! It was our honeymoon and we were excited to stay here. The room looked clean and lovely and they even put roses out for us which we greatly appreciated. However, when we returned from dinner the room was so incredibly hot and uncomfortable they didn’t allow ac even though it was in the description and only had heat which was blasting. When we asked for help the front desk never came up to assist only what’s app’s us and basically said there’s nothing to do. When we opened the windows the noise from the local club was insanely loud and unbearable to keep open, which honestly didn’t make a difference. And the beds! I can’t believe they charge for people to stay on those beds. Hard as a rock and cheap sheets and materials, it was so miserable. They tried to offer another room that had the same issues then wouldn’t refund us on a stay we didn’t have. We left in the middle of the night and had a wonderful stay at the Intercontinental Palace who treated us like kings!! I’m all for supporting local businesses and boutiques hotels but prim and proper was the worst part of our trip. Expedia didn’t help the situation either!

Good location, close to transport links and walkable to main sights. Excellent hotel & staff. In particular the breakfast staff. Lots of fresh breakfast options (Take your pick and choose your breakfast) Room excellent size and very clean. Only minor ' could haves' ; a few more shelves for clothes in the storage cupboard and a coat stand or hooks for the wet coats? Would definitely stay again without hesitation.

The room was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. Loved the lighting and décor. There was no terrace or balcony as advertised but this didn't really matter as there was plenty of space and we visited at a cooler time of year. Breakfast was nice and everything prepared upon request, although it wasn't totally clear what was available to have so we just had to go off the suggestions of staff, this felt a little odd. The location is on the edge of the city centre but it's easy to walk anywhere really, it is at the top of a hill so be prepared for that (Porto is a very hilly city). On the whole I'd definitely recommend the hotel, particularly on account of the beautiful, comfortable, clean room - possibly one of the nicest i've ever stayed in.

Perfect place in Porto.

Fantastic hotel. We had an amazing experience and would love to stay again. Had no idea how special the location was going to be. The incredible breakfast and amaaaaaaaazing coffee / cappuccino was included unexpectedly making it also a wonderful value. Top notch all-round. Location was perfect. So close to train and bus and there are a ton of spectacular restaurants right on the same block and all around. Staff were also so friendly and helpful!

Boendet var väldigt fint och mysigt. Det var ett stort rum med mycket fina inredningsdetaljer. Det doftade alltid gott och var rent. Personalen var mycket snälla och hjälpsamma. Frukosten var superbra, det är ingen buffé utan görs på beställning men det fanns många alternativ och allt var färskt.
Ljuset i rummen är ganska dova och mörka och det var svårt att sminka sig i spegeln, det fanns en uppladdningsbar lampa med starkare ljus som man fäste på spegeln som fungerade bra men den tog snabbt slut på batteri. Dock kunde man ladda den i receptionen vilket personalen hjälpte till med.
Sängen är ganska hård men det är väl en personlig preferens vad man gillar. Vi fick en extra tjock filt att lägga på.

Jättefint boende med trevlig, hjälpsam personal och god frukost.

Das Zimmer war groß, schön und angenehm, auch wenn die Polsterbezüge leicht mitgenommen sind.
Allerdings an einigen Stellen unpraktisch (Handtuchhalter, Haken nur in der Toilette, kein direktes Licht am Spiegel, wenig bis keine Abstellmöglichkeiten in Bad und Toilette, keim Schrank nur einige Bügel).

Das Personal war suuuuper freundlich.
Die Lage ist super zentral und gut zu erreichen.
Die Frühstücksauswahl ist überschaubar, aber sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet.

Ich würde trotz der wirklich verschmerzbaren Kleinigkeiten jederzeit wiederkommen.

Prachtig hotel, mooie ruime kamers, fijn ontvangst en locatie zeer centraal. Enige nadeel is de gehorigheid van de bovenburen: zij bleven de hele nacht rondlopen in de kamer wat je erg goed kon horen in onze kamer (met oordopjes in). Heb je de bovenste kamer óf normale bovenburen dan is dit hotel de perfecte keuze

Wir hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt im Prim&Proper. Unser Zimmer (an sich) war sauber (die Minibar leider nicht - aber das möchte ich keinesfalls als negativen Punkt anbringen!) und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Das Personal war freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam.
Das Frühstück (à-la-carte) war sehr lecker - alles wurde frisch zubereitet! Wirklich toll!

Verbesserungsvorschlag: besseres Licht beim Spiegel im Bad / Waschbecken.

Wir haben 3 Nächte in Suit 2.2 verbracht. Wir hatten leider ein dreckiges Handtuch im Zimmer beim Check-in. Das man von der Toilette aus direkt auf das Bett schauen konnte ist auch nicht ideal. Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel, Schminken war kaum möglich bei dem Licht. Zum Glück hatte ich einen kleinen Spiegel dabei so das ich mich am Fenster beim Tageslicht schminken konnte. Beim Waschbecken gibt es keine Ablagefläche, es war viel zu eng.

Wir haben die Kommentare bzgl. Frühstück nicht nachvollziehen können. Das was serviert wurde war wirklich lächerlich. Schade, dass wir dafür Geld ausgegeben haben.
Entweder hat der Koch gewechselt oder wir hatten einfach Pech.

Die Lage war okay. Wir würden das Hotel nicht nochmal wählen - wir waren leider nicht zufrieden.

One of the best private hotel i have been in. V
The architecture and design if bluffing. The rooms are very nice, unique and very comfy. Good sound isolation. The bathroom was beautiful. Noble materials. Nice staff and good breakfast. I strongly recommend it.location was good too.
