This hotel was amazing! The man at the front desk was super friendly and helped check me in super quick and also carried my bag up the stairs for me! The room was super clean and it was very spacious! Bathroom was just a tiny bit small but still comfortable; shower water had good pressure and got very hot! Location-wise I loved it! It’s a minute walk from Capela das Almas, a huge shopping center and various souvenir shops and eating options! Also very conveniently located about 5 min from the metro station! Overall this hotel was amazing and if I were to come back to Porto I would definitely stay here again!

The front desk staff is very pleasant and helpful. We were able to walk everywhere from here. The beautiful market is nearby. This property could use some upgrading in its common areas (e.g. replace grey carpet). One negative was that we chose to add on breakfast, and came down to piles of dirty dishes, no clean tables, and much of the food gone, so I would skip this option and find a local bakery.

Decanting Porto is ideally situated, close to shopping good restaurants and easy to get to main attractions. Would recommend the hotel and Porto is a beautiful city to visit. Stayed 22-24 September.

Comfortable and reasonably priced hotel in Porto
Decanting is a nice modest place to stay. reasonable price, friendly, 24 hour desk, very pleasant healthy natural food type restaurant named 100 Culpa next door. 3 minute walk to Bolhau Metro station and 10 minute walk to Trindade Metro station. The early train to the airport leaves Trindade station at 5:58 am and arrives at airport in 35 minutes or so. It leaves from the first track (for some reason named Track 3!) which is about 50 ft from the front door so very easy access! Decanting is in an excellent location for walking around Porto. I walked out the hotel front door turned right and hiked to the river and a modern beautiful bridge over the Douro. From there east along the river road to downtown.Etc. Note: the hotel’s airport shuttle charges 30 Euros which motivated me to walk to Trindade Metro station.

I cannot recommend this hotel. Although it was in a good location it was so basic that it was uncomfortable. The bed was terrible & the rug dirty & old. The electrical plugs were near the floor under a very small table attached to the wall. My husband had to lie on the floor to plug in all our electronics. The hooks in the VERY tiny bathroom were positioned so high & the towel rack so inaccessible that they were hard to use. The manager told me I should just throw them on the floor but when I did one day housekeeping never even came to our room. The only bright spots were the hot water, good shower pressure & the regular staff. On top of that they charged for breakfast.

The hotel was a bit of a walk from the main touristy places, but I actually really liked the location. The nearby restaurants and pedestrian street were great, and I was close to the metro. The room was small and simple but it had everything I needed, including a nice little balcony. The service was excellent and staff were quite helpful. Very good hotel in the centre of Porto. Safe parking opposite the hotel 25 euros per night. Best housekeeping we have experienced every day the room was as good as the day we arrived. Breakfast not value for money, no black tea, only 2 bowls for cereal provided, had to ask for hot water. Silly errors eg no one told us how to use our room key to enter hotel resulting in us waiting outside to be let in.

The walls are so thin that you can hear your next door neighbors. We were on the third floor and it felt like a marching band was on top of us when the guests checked in. The bathroom walls are so thin that you have to turn on the shower to get some privacy while using the bathroom. Our room was close to a loading dock and you can hear the trucks early in the morning. The walls and doors of our room need a lot of TLC. No fridge in the room or ice service in the hotel.

I had trouble sleeping the first night because of how noisy it was outside, then I discovered that the balcony window was slightly open. After closing the window it was quiet enough to sleep. If you stay here, check that window.

I enjoyed my stay at this boutique hotel. The staff are lovely and the hotel is clean and well located (near a Metro station). I did notice the hotel had some sound dampening issues (I could hear other guests in their rooms and the hallway through my closed suite door), this may be an issue for those who are light sleepers. Overall a good experience and I would stay at this hotel again.

A lovely hotel in a great location. Provided a city map and outlined all the recommended attractions. A two-minute walk from the Bolhão Metro station and walking distance to all Porto sights. Really enjoyed our stay here and the port wine decor is a great touch.

They had given our room with 3 beds away when we arrived. The room was so small we could only walk like a crab - sideways. The tv was so tiny on the big wall it was silly. There was no table or extra chairs to put our suitcases on. The party next door was loud and boisterous until midnight even audited we called down to the desk.

Overall very happy with the hotel - the complimentary port wine offered at check in was a delightful and welcome touch! The location is close to the main shopping area, less than 5 minutes to Bolhao metro station, and not too far to walk to Riberio, the old part of the city (15-20 minutes, mostly downhill). However, it was a bit of a challenge to find restaurants nearby! The staff were friendly and polite. The decor of the hotel was tasteful and modern, with a subtle port wine theme throughout. There is no lift so bear this in mind if stairs are a problem. We stayed in a twin room on the top (3rd) floor, with a view out to the street. The room was clean and modern, equipped with a wardrobe. However, it was a little sparse and could have benefited from more storage (a shelf or table would be great), a proper bin and tea/coffee making facilities (although drinks may be available from staff on the ground floor - we didn't check). The bathroom was small but modern - but more storage would have been good, and the layout could have been better - the only way to access the towel rail was by walking through the (usually wet) shower area. In general, the room was quiet - when closed, the windows completely shut out any noise from outside. However the walls may be a little thin - we had very noisy next door guests who always returned late at night - the noise they made was quite distracting if you're a light sleeper! Overall, this hotel is good value and I would recommend staying here.
