They sent me very helpful instructions on how to arrive there by metro from the airport in advance of my stay, and even offered to schedule a taxi to pick me up from the airport. They promptly responded to my inquiry regarding the breakfast, which was great by the way. The beds were very firm, which is my preference. Overall, I was very happy with my stay.

While it was lively outside with lots of tourists, the room itself was spacious, quiet, and relaxing — it felt like our own private apartment. Great location - so easy to get to from the airport. Great neighbourhood - way less crazy than the riverfront. The vibe of the area and the hotel was cool. The room overlooked the street, so we had great people watching and lovely views of the charming buildings. The apartment was compact, yet spacious. It was comfortable and stylish - we loved it! There was some street noise one night that unfortunately woke us up, but what can you do. Chalk it up to part of the experience. Would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable bed!

Perfectly designed apartment with all the things you need. Looks like the photos and has all the things you would need. FYI... Kitchen does not include any food items like spices or oil. I was on the second floor on the main street and had a quiet night to sleep well each night. Great bed, linens, shower, ling mirror, coat rack, and plenty of dishes. A lovely stay.

The location is excellent; very close to bus and metro links to many parts of the city, and only a 20 minute walk from the river front (the walk back is longer, much of it uphill).
The only criticism is that the room does not have a safe for licking away valuables such as passport.

A bit of a late review as I stayed at the Sweet Porto in July. A very well appointed apartment with kitchen and spacious bathroom. The hotel is in a great location and all the tourist sites/restaurants are on your doorstep. The staff were courteous and knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Sweet Porto.

We had a lovely stay at the Bloom House. The staff were so kind, helpful and friendly — they helped us book numerous restaurant reservations, gave us great recommendations, and helped coordinate several activities, such as booking tickets for a boat tour and wine tasting. I really appreciate how communicative and helpful everyone was, especially Carla (thank you!).
Our room was as advertised and the bed was very comfortable. You also can’t beat the location — easy access via metro and right by the Mercado do Bolhão. We would happily stay here again! Do note — there is no overnight staff, so make sure to communicate with staff about your arrival time.

Bloom House was the perfect stay for our short trip to Porto! Location was an easy walk to train station, restaurants and all of the sight seeing. Apartment was clean, quiet and so comfortable. I always appreciate a cozy, charming feel and this had it all. The hosts were wonderful and extremely helpful to our large family. I wish we had longer in this beautiful city and this perfect little apartment. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back!!

The staff were kind and provided a very thorough overview. The space was perfect for our needs. We were able to easily walk everywhere we wanted in Porto from here- great location.
There were only two things that I would have potentially changed. My son, who slept on the pullout couch, indicated that was not the most confortable for him. The room smelled amazing, and unfortunately, whatever scent it was also aggravated our allergies. We could not identify where the scent came from to address it.
Still 5/5. We would stay here again in a heartbeat- and would ask about the scent ahead of time.

The property is right by the Bolhao metro station, the tiled church of souls, and the famous market. We took the train straight from airport to the metro station half a block away to the property. Front desk lady, CARLA, was amazing. Best service I’ve had in all my travels! The room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was very comfortable - my in-laws stayed in another room and also commented on the comfort of the bed. The room had everything you could want, kitchen, cold fridge, stove top, microwave, hair dryer, bath gels and soap, etc. We enjoyed our stay, and the location was perfect.

We really enjoyed our visit to this property. We had a mini apartment which had everything we needed. A little basket was delivered each morning with our breakfast. (Juice, coffee, milk, pastries, ham, cheese and boiled eggs - I may be missing something) The street is closed off in front so you have to get dropped off and walk a little to get to Bloom House, but that wasn’t a problem as it wasn’t too far. And the location was nice because you could stroll along the street right outside to shop, eat or listen to street musicians. It was walkable to other areas as well. The staff was extremely helpful and spent time explaining the area, giving recommendations and helping us print out tickets. They went above and beyond. It was a great experience.

Bloom House is situated in a very convenient location right by the Bolhão Metro station on a pedestrian street near the Ste Catarina Chapel and Balhão Market. Lots of café and shops around. The staff are very helpful. They contacted me before my arrival and I could checked in early. They provided a map with recommendations on restaurants and sites to visit. I got a studio suite which is spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The suite is clean and the bed is comfortable. There are recycling bins for paper, plastic and glass in the suite. The housekeeping staff respected the water saving policy and not changing the towels unless indicated. I will recommend Bloom House for anyone visiting Porto.

The hotel was conveniently located and had everything you need (kitchenette was well supplied). The hotel is close to the market, many terrific restaurants, cafés, shops, sites and public transport, all within walking distance. The people of Porto are wonderful and the staff at Bloom House are exceptional !!!!! Their suggestions for things to do, restaurants and port tasting (Churchill's a must) were outstanding. Overall its a great location. Close to things however the hot water shower usually last less than 5 mins then it's cold water. I understand they want to preserve water .. but it makes for a very rush shower to race with the hot water meter.

Beautiful apartments! Excellent location. Walking distance to everything you need to see. Despite being on such a busy street the apartment was very quiet. I never heard a sound. Very cute and clean and also very spacious apartment. My only call out is with the shower set up. You have to be very careful when taking a shower because there is only one door. If you are not super careful, water will spill out everywhere and I mean everywhere. It is a very cool concept, however not a very practical one. Great place. Definitely recommend.

Perfect location to stay in Porto. Within walking distance to attractions, restaurants, cafes, metro and grocery store. Staff were excellent at check in and check out. If you choose the apartment with no elevator, you walk up two flights of stairs-great for working on those glutes, not so great after walking the hills of Porto. Room was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
