Nice old style building with high ceiling, and quiet room. Convenient location, lots restaurants and shops around. But room is a bit dark, possibly due to lack of ceiling lights. Also bed and shower are a bit small.

The beautiful old building with its high ceilings and interior details was a wonderful restoration. Clean and spacious. Fabulous hot shower with great water pressure. Well appointed kitchen with utensils and equipment, meaning we could actually make toast in the morning! A toaster! Hallelujah! This is an apartment style room with kitchenette. Its location is next to the Mercardo do Bolhao and with grocery stores next door. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking and dinning. Enjoyed our stay like living in Bolhao, Porto.

The room was lovely, and the location was amazing. They set up the living room sofa bed for me so that my friend could have the bedroom; it was perfectly comfortable. The staff was great--I accidentally spilled water on my bed just as we were leaving for the day, and they came in and dried everything up before we got back. Amazing service. The staff had great suggestions for bars and restaurants too. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped; we used the oven, coffee maker and toaster daily. I would be happy to stay there again and recommend the property to anyone.

The hotel is close to the metro, market and shopping, the sites… what I I did not enjoy is the strong off putting perfume scent that was in our hallway. Also we woke up to bites daily during our four night stay. At first thought it could be mosquitos but then by third night we knew it had to be bed bugs. Did not see any with a quick search nor took the time to throughly look, did not want to waste precious vacation hours on this as out time was limited. I would advise to be mindful of your luggage when returning home. They only lost a star for this serious manner as we couldn’t see them all around therefore could be a newer infestation that could go unnoticed by staff at this stage. Hopefully they will take proper measures to get rid of the issue for next guests.

The historical charm of the building was the best part and as such, it came with some plumbing issues like smells that would come and go. The large and many windows helped. The place has great design, is well equipped, close to everything. Unfortunately it's on a busy street which means a lot of street noise starting at 5 am in the morning. Not for light sleepers.

Beware the room you book -attic rooms are horrific
I stayed here last year in apt 1B and it was exceptional. However, this year i booked the same (at least according to the pictures and description) but the room didn't match the pictures at all. Apt 4B was horrific - the entry to the bathroom was a 4 foot cut out in the drywall so you had to duck to get in. The \"master\" bedroom was a tiny room in the attic with a low beam which made it difficult to get into the bed without ducking. And getting to the bedrooms required going up a very steep and narrow staircase. Be very careful which room you book!!

We did not know what to expect, so we were thrilled to have a beautiful large room with a small kitchen, sofa, television, and beautiful windows with the perfect amount of sunlight! The bed was extremely comfy!

There was a lot of communication with the staff that was not desirable. Cleaning needed to be booked, that was not expected. Service should be seamless. A lot of basic necessities like tissue, body lotion, hair conditioner were missing. I asked for these on arrival - multiple messages implying I don’t see them instead of bringing them over. They were promised but were never brought in. Cleaning was not thorough. If I knew it was such a poor service I would not have booked this hotel because there were multiple options for 4 star hotels available and this was presented as a 4 star property. This is a 2.5 star run down facility. Living room seating was very uncomfortable, with cushions on the floor.

The Youropo Bolhão apartments are the perfect place to stay in Porto. It is centrally located, across the street from the “must see” Mercado do Bolhão. It is just outside the always crowded Ribiera district of the old town but is still just a 10-minute walk from the river. It is less than a 20-minute walk from every major site in the old town, including the port wine cellars in Gaia and the Crystal Palace gardens.
The apartment is in a beautiful old building that has been completely refurbished. The age of the building was an advantage when the multi-country power outage occurred. The rooms still use mechanical keys, which work even without electricity.
The apartment itself, we were in 3C, was wonderful, with a sitting area and a fully equipped kitchen and windows overlooking the street. Taking advantage of the kitchen is easy, given there is a regular grocery store right next door.
As other reviewers have pointed out, the staff is great. When we checked in Nuno gave us maps and restaurant suggestions. Every other staff member we interacted with was equally helpful.
The AC unit in the apartment started acting up on Friday, the night we arrived, and the staff could not contact a technician, but they tried to fix it themselves. It would work for about 4 hours and then stop. The staff did provide us with a fan, and were concerned about our comfort, and that the AC was not working.
We highly recommend Youropo Bolhão. When we go back to Porto we will definitely stay here again

They can book various outings for you and will call venues to get the info you request. All appliances except a dishwasher. Has a wash/ dryer combo in the unit. Mid size fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, oven, 4 burner stovetop, iron and board, and hair dryer. Shower is great, lots of pressure and hot water. One dowside, there was no drawers to unpack your clothing into. Was a hanger system with 10 hanger available. Will book the is again.

This is a very unique apartment hotel. It’s very historic, with original details. We stayed in a one bedroom with two bathrooms. It was across from the Bolhao market that had two excellent restaurants. Loved the vegetarian and the cod one. And these markets are always fun. It was a 15 minute walk to the center. Staff was always available and eager to help. Finally we have never ridden in an elevator that was also a work of art.

Our suit bedroom facing rear courtyard was quite and with window shutters closed it was very pleasant to stay in. Our bedroom mattresses was bit sunk in the middle but it wasn't terrible. The hotel was in cantral location and having supermarket within the block was plus. Our suite 1A had soaring ceilings heigh and plenty of natural light pouring through window was fantastic. The hotel concierge was helpful and nice.

This place was even better than it looks in the pictures. From the second I booked I was welcomed. When I arrived the staff were kind and helpful. I was escorted to my room. The room was fabulous. The shower was hot and full and the best I’ve had in Europe. The room was a mini apartment with a separate well appointed kitchen. It was quiet and the bed was comfortable and luxurious. The location was excellent - across from the market. Do yourself a favour and book this place for your stay in Porto. My only regret is that I had a flight booked, so couldn’t stay longer.

We selected this hotel because of the elevator as there is mobility impared in the family to use stairs down. The elevator was under maintenance and we not informed but they were very acommodating and went above to make sure we were comfortable. We fell in love with the room and the location . It had everything we needed and everything is closed by. We walked everything and the Bento and Bohliao metro and bus. Stations are walking distance. We immediatelly booked our next vacation stay already.

Expedia sent me a picture of the rented apartment at second floor. (Please see on the left.) However, when I got there I was given an apartment at first floor, completely different than the one I booked. The apartment building is an old refurbished building. Great bathrooms, (2), and kitchen, but lights in both areas, not so great. Not enough outlets, shaky tables, heavy chairs that made awful noises when moved. No benches for luggages. The apartments need a lot more care outside the kitchen and bathrooms. I did not understand why my room was changed. My wife did not want to say much about that on the spot, because she was tired to move again...However, we had A/C, that helped a bit, and the people at the main desk were really excellent!

We were greeted at 9:00 p.m. by Paul and John, they were simply amazing people. Very helpful. Paul. Even got in the car with me and we drove to the parking structure and he showed me the best way back to the hotel. We walked together and talked. They were able to help us out with many different things that they do not offer at that hotel such as a massage and spa at a different hotel.

I was amazed that we'd rented an apartment but the property was run as a hotel. We had front desk, services, help with tourism, housekeeping and so much more. Everyone was accommodating, polite, and helpful. I'd never stayed in a place quite like it, but I certainly would stay again. I didn't like the washer/dryer unit for laundry, but it did work, and I wasn't expecting it; so it was all great. One of my most enjoyable trips ever.

Everyone was so wonderful and helpful at the property. We could walk to the bridge, shopping, and several restaurants. We did not take an Uber while in town. The rooms were charming with an old world feel. The tall windows and doors, as well as the detail on the ceiling, were beautiful. However, the bathroom and kitchen were new, and the space was ample for two people. We will definitely book these accommodations again.
