I had a great stay at this hotel in Porto. The location was excellent, within walking distance of many attractions and restaurants, which made it easy to explore the city. The room was clean, comfortable, and modern, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.

One of the highlights was the breakfast included with the booking. The buffet had a very good selection of food, including fresh pastries, fruit, cold cuts, and hot items like eggs and sausages. Everything was fresh and well presented, and it was a perfect way to start the day before heading out to explore Porto.

The hotel also had reliable Wi-Fi and a relaxing atmosphere. Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff were happy to give recommendations for places to visit in the city.

Staff was always available (24 hrs), pleasant, and informative, breakfast was ample and a good variety, rooms were clean and spacious, in historic very hilly part of Lisbon so be aware, legs will get a work out, can feel a little sketchy at night bc of all the dark ally ways that are not all well lit, but never truly felt unsafe, but would not want to walk through there too late. There were always staff on hand, rooms cleaned thoroughly, and staff maintained courtyard daily. I liked the hotel a lot just wish it was a bit closer to tourist areas.

A nice, clean and comfortable hotel in a great, central location which meant the city centre and key sites were within easy walking distance. Two metro stations were a 10 minute walk away, for access to public transport/the airport.
Staff were lovely and friendly and there is 24 HR reception. The breakfast buffet was really good, with fresh baked bread and homemade cakes as well as lots of savoury/healthy options including both salad and fresh fruit and yoghurt.
Inside the hotel, soundproofing must be really good because the hotel was busy, but we never heard a thing! Of course, being on a busy street in the city centre, there was some street noise, which is to be expected - we like to sleep with windows open, but with closed windows noise is probably minimal.
Overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend the Casual Raizes!

This was in a great location on a pedestrian street near the Metro. Leo was very welcoming and gave us a map and recommendations for things to do and restaurants to try. The breakfast was very good with a wide variety of options. A backyard patio was a nice option to relax at the end of the day. The room was well designed and ample.

Perfect for a quick city break!

The Casual Raizes in Porto was perfect! It was a quick city break with my daughter and she had stayed there before with her fiancé. Located on Rua Santa Catarina, the main shopping street, it is an ideal place to start exploring Porto. It is away from the Ribeiro area but it everywhere is very walkable but it is quite hilly!
The hotel is cozy, a small lobby, an area for breakfast and a small outdoor area.
Catarina was very welcoming and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this hotel for a quick city break and I would definitely stay again.

Great spot for me in Porto; returned a car to Eurocar- 5 minute walk, Trinidade Metro station for M and airport- 9 minute walk, everything else (Mercado, train station,sites and other neighborhoods) all within 15-20 easy walk, over the bridge in 25. Hotel has great staff, super clean rooms with excellent bathroom and bed. Nice breakfast, pretty quiet, value/price is great.

Good location, pedestrianised road outside minimised road noise.
Staff on reception exceptionally helpful.
Rooms spacious, beds comfortable, bathroom and shower good. Excellent toiletries - Rituals. Professional hairdryer in bathroom. Rooms are individually decorated.
Breakfast good, varied each day.
Only 20 minute walk to the river but longer back due to being uphill!
Metro station 3 minutes away.
The magnificent Bilbao market just a 5 min8walk away.
Luggage storage available after checkout.
Only negative was that the 'fridge' was no cooler than the room.

This hotel felt like a real find. It was just a few minutes' walk from a metro station, and located on a pedestrianised shopping street within walking distance of lots of Porto's points of interest. It was bright and modern, clean and comfortable, and the buffet breakfasts were great. But most of all the staff absolutely made our stay - the two receptionists we saw the most on our stay - Angela and Illary - could not have been more smiley, welcoming, friendly, efficient and helpful. Nothing was any trouble, they were full of advice and recommendations and always good humoured right from the warm welcome on arrival to the end of our stay. This was a great base, reasonably priced, and a real little haven in the city. Couldn't recommend it highly enough.

Great location for us, (especially when being dropped off by by the taxi from the airport) Hotel situated at the top end of the pedestrian only main shopping street, so a bit quieter than in the center. Only a minutes walk and you are in the busy area, lots of shops, cafe's etc., Hotel and staff are brilliant, only one small improvement is to have some form of milk for the coffee and tea, also have two small bottles of water when two people are in the room. Would definitely recommend this Hotel.

Fantastic Stay in Central Porto

A lovely 2 night stay at Casual Raizes in Porto. The team were very accommodating. They went out of their way to provide us with a bottle of prosecco and cake to celebrate our recent engagement! It made our stay very special, we can't thank you enough. The room was a great size and was very bright. The Rituals creams/shower gels were a nice touch! We were 2 friends travelling and the room provided 1 small bottle of water and 1 of each teabag/coffee sachet. This is their policy but seems mean - I would have expected at least 1 per person.

Breakfast - there was no boiling water for tea only hot water from the coffee machine, which was disappointing.

I would though stay there again!

A very nice new boutique hotel behind the façade of the previous building. Excellent location to explore the city by foot or public transportation. However, we couldn’t sleep well at all. This may have been an exceptional situation, but when checking in we have been told that the aircon system was still in heating mode and we should open the windows if its too warm for us. It was definitely too warm and when we opened the window to the street below, we had to learn that there was loud noise all night long.
