Well situated and close to main attractions. The exterior of the is a bit surprising but don’t judge the interior by it’s cover.Spacious room with balcony. Rooftop is amazing. Concierge service excellent. Only comment for improvement: reception desk should not suggest conversation if you pay with foreign credit card. Pay in euro and refuse conversation. If nor 5% is added .

Quality hotel and helpful staff

The hotel is located in the central northern district approx 20 mins walk to the main attractions.

The hotel reception and concierge staff are were very professional, helpful and polite.

The hotel bar and main restaurant are located on the top, 17th, floor with views of the city.

My room was a single and had a reasonable amount of space along with modern bathroom.

Breakfast was available on the ground floor restaurant area and had a wide choice of food to cater for different tastes, including some hot food such as scrambled eggs, ham, bacon, as well as fruit, cereals and pastries.

Would consider using this hotel again given high standards and helpful staff

Splendid hotel just sensibly away from the busy area of Porto. Speedy check in and out. Pleasant comfortable rooms with good shower. Rooftop bar is great for early evening drinks. Panoramic. Lunch was good value. 5 minute walk to the Mercado de Bolhau which is a must. Never seen anything like it before. So pristine and clean. The riverfront is a 20 minute walk downhill but coming back up is not trial. Plenty of bars/restaurants/shops to break your journey. Hopon/Hopoff buses also a great idea to familiarize yourself with the city. Take comfortable low heel or flat shoes. Quite a few trip hazRds

I had a great time at the Dom Henrique. I got an upgrade upon checking in, which was nice, and I was also pleasantly surprised to be tended to by a lady at the front desk who spoke perfect French. The hotel is conveniently located, a short walk to a central metro station and to old town (and about 20 minutes to the river). Unlike the rest of the neighborhood, the hotel is a tower that has 17 stories and a rooftop with a great view but obviously, not everyone will like its \"brutalist\" style. The only small complaint I'd have is that I stayed on the fourth floor and could hear traffic noise (which was not too heavy fortunately). I wish the windows would have been thicker. Overall, a great stay!

The only problem was on the last afternoon/ evening there was a rave in a garage in the neighborhood. The music was very loud and annoying and went on until exactly 11:00pm. But then the noise of dismantling the venue went on for at least another hour. It put a damper on an otherwise perfect stay.

I recently stayed at Hotel Dom Henrique Downtown in Porto, and it was a wonderful experience! The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to explore Porto’s charming neighborhoods and attractions on foot. The São Bento train station, beautiful historic sites, and many excellent restaurants are just a short walk away, which made the location incredibly convenient.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with modern decor and amenities. I especially appreciated the large windows that provided plenty of natural light and a lovely view of the city. The bed was very comfortable, ensuring a restful night’s sleep after a day of sightseeing.

The highlight of my stay was the rooftop bar. The view of Porto from there is absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunset. It was the perfect spot to relax with a drink and take in the city skyline.

Service was top-notch; the staff was warm, friendly, and eager to assist with recommendations and any requests. They really went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable, and their advice on local restaurants and places to visit was spot on.

The breakfast was also excellent, with a wide selection of fresh and tasty options to start the day. The food quality was great, and the atmosphere in the breakfast area was relaxed and inviting.

I arrived sick and the bed was so comfortable, and was grateful for the assistance with my luggage and the smooth check in process. My husband ordered food from the bar to bring to me and it was excellent, the soup was delicious and hit the spot. The next day we were walking distance to several sites. We made dinner reservations at the roof top restaurant and definitely 5 star, service and quality was amazing as well as the views. We declined a room cleaning and they made sure to call if we needed additional towels and coffee. Much appreciated.

This 20th Century hotel has been recently upgraded. Not quite a boutique but in that direction. Extremely comfy beds were appreciated at the end of our trip. Easy friendly check in. Walkable to the Balhao market and the historic center. Really good AC. Not a lot of personality, but we just needed a clean comfy place for last night of our trip.

The hotel is in a wonderful and safe location. It is within walking distance to Porto's main street. It has a beautiful rooftop terrace, with bar and restaurant, but the ladies (hostesses) are not very friendly. For some reason they would make it difficult for us to reserve in the restaurant, aledging that all tables were reserved when actually there was no one there. One night, after being told that just one table was available and of course it was not by the window, we sat down and had dinner and no one else showed up at the restaurant. Just plain weird the treatment received.

This was a great hotel to stay at for a few days before we started the Camino. The breakfast was exceptional each day. The staff was very friendly and helpful with excellent restaurant recommendations. The Lou de on the 17th floor had great food and views. We were able to walk to many tourist attractions. We received a bottle of sparkling wine from Expedia during our stay. I highly recommend.

My family and i recently stayed at the Hotel Dom Henrique and we had an amazing time. The costomer service is outstanding from the moment we arrived you are greeted warmly and made to feel welcome. The facilities were very classy and the views from the bar/lounge and restaurant are amazing. Our room was spacious and very nicely designed, warm tones, dim lighting and very clean.

Comfortable hotel with plain but good quality room decor, spacious rooms with occasional balconies, good although small bathrooms, and a star restaurant & bar. Slightly off the busiest tourist drag, so quieter and good value, but still convenient for most things in Porto. Accordingly, it’s my favourite reasonably priced hotel in this city.
