Our stay was just perfect! The welcome, our room, the amenities, how close/easy it was to everything. We had a wonderful stay. Our only criticism would be breakfast, as the menu was quite limited and is vegetarian. What was available (and the coffee) were delicious, but options were rather limited. It was also my birthday during the trip and while the staff did know about it, have to say I was slightly disappointed not to receive any form of gift/recognition on the day - which is something venues would normally do.

Beautiful room and property. We were in last unit closest to trains so it was noisy when windows opened but we got used to it. Great location. Housekeeping was wonderful when we had requests. The breakfast was great, loved the cooked to order choices. Had a great dinner at the restaurant directly across the street. Would stay here again. Had an adorable picnic table outside our door.

The place looks exactly as the pictures show. Very cozy. Clean, nicely decorated. Good water pressure in the shower. Not being from the area, when we first turned into the street, we were a little concerned as to the safety of the area (some graffiti on some buildings, some closed out stores) However, within a few hours of being there we felt comfortable, there were several restaurants on the same street that were bustling. The person who greeted us at the hotel was lovely and showed us the different areas of the hotel. The place is within walking distance to everything. Would recommend.

Stunning property. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. Superior Duplex was spacious with everything you could possibly need. Living/kitchen/dining area downstairs with full size fridge/freezer, hob, oven, dishwasher, sink, pots, cutlery and plenty cupboards. Small WC downstairs. Extremely comfortable Kingsize bed upstairs and bathroom with walk in shower. Spacious outdoor deck with two chairs and rooftop views. A relaxing haven after exploring all this beautiful city has to offer.
Separate aircon upstairs and downstairs kept the unit pleasantly cool in 35° heat.
5 minutes walk from Trindade Station. 10/15 minutes walk from Old Town or Ribeira. Plenty restaurants and shops all around but no noise disturbance from within or outside the property.
A perfect choice for our trip!

This was a great mix between an apartment and a hotel. Perfect location, lovely grounds that felt tucked away yet still in the middle of it all. It was a little unclear before we checked in if there was a front desk / staff on site or not. Once we checked it we realized there was, but it would have been nice to know so we could have left our bags before our room was ready. Overall, it was a lovely stay and would highly recommend.

very convenient for airport transfer, 30 mins by train from airport to hotel for 2.75 euros and practically stop behind the hotel.
can't fault the location, lots of restaurants and cafe nearby, walk everywhere.
best part is that you are hit with coolness and serenity the minute you walked into the hotel, a bonus after a long day.
the only thing missing is the in-room safe and slippers.

The most beautiful apartment! Stunning interior and exterior decorated with gorgeous pots. Everything we could need was supplied, love the bathroom supplies and bought some to take home. Amazing and generous welcome gifts. Such kind, friendly and happy staff - thank you, Joseph. Location is perfect for Trindade station from the airport, a short walk. Short walk into town - no need for travel cards. Again, short walk to Sao Bento station. I would love to stay here again, quiet, spacious, beautiful. Thank you

I’m really glad we chose this place to stay for our first family trip :) the staff couldn’t have been any more welcoming and the apartment was beautiful, even better than the pictures suggest! Everything just worked and made the stay pretty effortless. The private airport transfer was also well worth adding on to the stay. We hope to return!

Fab!

Good location, a few minutes walk from Trindade station and to the local market. Staff friendly and very helpful. We requested a high chair and this was promptly provided. The cot provided was a \"proper\" cot rather than a travel cot too.

Breakfast was delicious. The traditional breakfast contained granola, croissants, bread rolls, fruit, yoghurt, milk, orange juice, tea bags, jam, Nutella, butter, ham & cheese. We also tried the vegetarian option and this was similar but with lovely pancakes instead of the croissants.

Coffee pods and water were replenished daily with the house keeping. We found this place relaxing after walking around all day, with the added bonus of being able to watch netflix. Super handy having a downstairs loo when the baby was sleeping upstairs too.

Only a couple of minor points if we were being really nitpicky! You can hear the metro inside the apartment when the trains screech but this didn't disturb our sleep and it wouldn't stop us staying there again after all you pay for the convenience of being near the station! Also the doors to the apartments are small double doors, of which both needed opening to fit our (umbrella type) buggy through each time we left the apartment, this didn't take long to do, but may be a factor if you can't bend down easily as the latches are on the top and bottom. Overall though it was a really nice place to stay and I would thoroughly recommend it!

Your home away from home in Porto

We loved our stay at Village Aparthotel by BOA. The space was large, with a kitchen, living area and 1/2 bath downstairs and a bedroom with full bath upstairs. The decor was beautiful and everything was super clean. The bed was comfortable. It was a quiet location on a quiet street. If you're staying in Porto, it's little uphill from the Ribeira district, but great for your upper Porto walk. Have a meal at Antunes next door- you won't be disappointed.

What an incredible property! Location was perfect, 5min walk from the subway station. The spaces and amenities were excellent, the staff were amazing and incredibly accommodating. Our only regret was that we didn’t get to stay in Porto longer to have more time to enjoy our apartment. I cannot wait to return to Porto to stay here again for longer.

Highly Recommend!

My partner and I had a really pleasant stay at Village BOA - the rooms are like a little home away from home so it was the perfect way to start our vacation. The location is perfect - it's just around the corner from the metro station and an easy walk to the waterfront and the sites of Porto without being the middle of the hustle and bustle. The rooms are whisper quiet! I never once heard noise from the adjacent rooms (we stayed in one of the 2 level rooms with an outside door behind the main building). Oh and the body wash and hand soap in the room smell SO good.

The property is a little difficult to locate - especially if you arrive a little later than expected - do your homework and street view the door and make sure to check-in online ahead of time to get the door code! Otherwise I would absolutely stay here again!

I liked that there were a number of small thoughtful touches, including an umbrella to borrow for the rain. However, I was surprised by how much was missing and/or not well kept. For example, previous guests definitely killed insects and the obvious insect smudges were left on the walls -- this clues you into knowing they have a bug problem, most annoyingly a mosquito problem.

The first room I was placed in at the corner of the property had very spotty wifi and it was basically a dead zone that needed a wifi extender. Some items were broken -- broken glass on the mirror seemed dangerous. The room phones didn't work, and they didn't keep the clocks at the right time. There was no in-room safe, no blackout curtains, and no box of tissues.

Although the owner is international and they cater towards an international crowd, none of the outlets are USB and they don't provide any universal adapters to borrow.

The metro must be very close or possibly run below the hotel since I hear it every time, too, so it's not a good location for light sleepers.

They don't clean well -- for example, the shower floor has pink mold around the edges and they don't restock items used by previous guests (for example the q-tips or first-aid supplies). There's a concerning amount of graffiti at the surrounding entrance area, too, that makes me feel less safe.

A peaceful, beautiful haven in the heart of Porto

This was one of the best places we have stayed and would highly recommend it. The apartments are spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped for self catered options. There is so much attention to detail and it’s a well designed space that feels like a haven in the heart of Porto. The Metro station is very close and makes travel
from the airport east, but you can barely hear the line from the accommodation.

Smokey rooms, broken toilets, & flooding balconies

We were given a cheaper room than we paid for as we did not wish to risk carbon monoxide poisoning in the original room, but the difference was not reimbursed!

We booked the Superior duplex as a birthday treat. On arrival, it smelt so strongly of smoke it triggered a respiratory attack. We decided this would fade and turned on the ventilators for 3 hours, but it worsened.

The attendant mentioned this was a known problem, and they had told the people causing it to stop! We spent the first night in the Premium Apartment, which had a broken toilet (strong smell of faeces before use and right next to the kitchen) and a shower that flooded the balcony.

We returned to our apartment and were told to keep all the doors and windows open during our stay to ventilate the apartment - not feasible in the city centre.

We realised there was no way to detect carbon monoxide poisoning as the apartment had no smoke alarms. After speaking to a firefighter friend and with one of us being a doctor, we agreed to change rooms due to safety concerns.

We took the deluxe duplex room offered after being informed there were no other rooms available. It was 20% cheaper than the room we originally booked, smaller, lacked a balcony, and did not have a view of the town.

We spoke to management, who apologised for the situation but refused to refund the difference in cost. Apparently, it is our fault if the hotel provides unsafe rooms!

Gem Near Town Center

The place was absolutely beautiful! We were met at the door by a friendly gal who helped us to our room. The outside courtyard was charming, with views of the city. It felt like we were in an oasis. The property was conveniently located to the center of town. We would definitely stay there again.
