The hotel was in a great location, walking distance to most of the major tourist attractions. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Room is clean, fresh and looks to be newly renovated.
Unfortunately did not have an opportunity to eat at the hotel but the menu looked great.

This hotel was exceptional from start to finish.
Upon arrival we were greeted by 2 friendly staff who made us feel very welcomed. Throughout our 4 night stay all the staff which we had communicated with (5 in total) were all kind and courteous and went that extra mile in making our stay unforgettable. The only complaint was for me was the pillows were too soft, which made it difficult for me to sleep but this was a personal minor thing.
If I was to come to Porto again, I will definitely book this hotel again without a doubt.
I would like to thank all the staff that made our stay so perfect.

We stayed at the beautiful TURIM Oporto hotel in early November of 2025. This hotel was very conveniently located within walking distance of most major sites in Porto.

The breakfast buffet was fabulous, with the best assortment of food of any place I have ever stayed.

The rooms were spotless. We especially appreciated the second cleaning check in the evening when they replenished any supplies and towels that we needed.

From Turim Oporto Hotel, you can walk to Livraria Lello (Harry Potter Book Store), Market Bolhao and all the restaurants nearby. A short taxi ride takes you to Dom Luís I Bridge, which is a double-deck metal arch bridge that spans the river Douro between the cities of Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia.
Note: Sometimes traffic can increase the time it takes to cover short distances in a taxi. Give yourselves plenty of time to avoid missing tour schedules.

Was a very noisy hotel with street noise and between rooms. Bar staff didn't even try to help when they saw we were English speaking and even when we pointed to something on the menu they didnt seem to know what it was. 20 min for a drink and we were the only ones in the lounge. Would stay closer to the centre of old porto next time with the quieter restaurants and many to choose from

Unfortunately we didn't sleep well due to the hotel not having sound proof which meant that you could hear traffic and people walking past throughout the night. It would of been better if there was a plug socket where the kettle was stationed, instead you had to plug it in on the other side of the room and also we had to keep asking for coffee and milk, as this was very limited; the staff were friendly when we did asked.

The reception staff were excellent. They were very polite and offered tremendous assistance to our request. We felt like home. The rooms were spacious, tidy and comfortable. We were most impressive with the cleanliness of the rooms and the house keeping staff did an excellent job ! The hotel was a convenient place to stay with restaurants, shops and supermarkets located within walking distance. Glad that we made the right choice to stay in this hotel at Porto ! The property appears to be recently renovated. The room was spotless and the bedding was very comfortable.

Modern hotel within walking distance or all the sights. Metro a block away. Lots of restaurants close by. Breakfast on sight was good as we were there on Christmas and didn’t want to worry about looking for someplace open that day we tried it.

Beautiful hotel

Amazing hotel. The room we stayed in was the most 'basic' one available. However, it was far from that. The room was massive. The bed was super comfy, there were basic amenities (such as tea and coffee, shampoo, conditioner etc). It had a balcony which came as a pleasant surprise. It was clean, and the staff were so lovely. There was also a rooftop pool which we did not know about. However, this is currently closed due to ongoing renovations.

The bar downstairs was very expensive but that really was the only downside, and if you walk 2 minutes outside the hotel, you can go into one of the shops and pick one up for a quarter of the price.

Loved the area. 8 minute walk to the chapel of souls and Bolhao market. It's also walkable to the Duoro river. Like 5-6 dollar cab ride to and from. Staff was fine, some more friendly than others. We had a problem with our room as it was too hot. The man who helped us was friendly enough but couldn't get the room any cooler and when we asked if we could switch rooms or if anyone else could help us he said no. Luckily we had a balcony with a view of the little square across the street and there was a nice cool breeze. For the price it was an excellent room, clean, spacious and modern. But there was no espresso machine like we had in Lisbon just instant coffee. No iron or ironing board either. Bathroom and shower were nice too

The pillows here are excellent. Soft and low-profile, instead of the rock hard, over-stuffed neck killers of many hotels. On the other hand, the toilet paper is cheap and scratchy. Give and take, I guess.

Check-in is advertised as 14:00, and it's one of the reasons I chose the hotel. My room wasn't ready until 15:00, though, which meant I had to scramble to make an appointment at 16:00. Disappointing. Front desk clerk did offer free breakfast to make up for it, so at least she tried.

Very nice breakfast buffet. Pleasant lobby with a bar in it. My room was spacious. Many, MANY, lighting options. Getting to darkness for sleeping involved lots of switches. Amenities were average.

This is new hotel that should have sorted out some of their issues by now. The front desk is totally unreliable. I took two tries to sort out the most simple tasks. No one seemed to know when the restaurant opened.

The rooms are new and had lots of outlets for computers etc. What was missing was places to put luggage. The rooms are quite small and they put a useless table, chair and lamp when another platform for luggage would have been more useful.

Breakfast is OK but not worth the price. Go across the street instead.

The location is excellent, very near to restos and shops. Walking distance to the Metro and many sights.

I averted a disaster.

What should have been a wonderful experience turned out to be a near disaster. My friend and I arrived at the hotel.

We arrived for check-in and I was told that the booking was for one person; and that in order for me to add my friend, there would be an additional charge of $50 per night.

I explained to the woman there had been a mistake mostly due to the loss of an internet connection, however, I found out through American Express that the first booking had actually gone through, but because of their Fraud protection, they canceled the first realizing it may have been a mistake.

I asked if she could please make an exception for the reasons stated above. Her answers were always company policies but never said whether an exception could be made.

So I presented the question in a different way, How would you feel if you were me? Knowing that it was a simple error that could easily be corrected?

By this time I concluded she was unwilling to assist me. I called Hotels.com and Amex, and they both called the front desk, She told Amex \" I don't care if he cancels the reservation or not I will not be giving him a refund\"

I asked her if I could speak to the manager and she said she had already spoken to him, but I wanted to see the expression on his face, but before that, I said this's what happens when you are honest.

If I had not mentioned my friend we would not be having this conversation and you'd have never known the difference. Think about the situation, you decide.
