I had a really pleasant stay at Casual Inca Porto Hotel. My room was very clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the fact that it even had a bidet — a nice added touch that made the stay feel more complete.

The breakfast was good and had everything you would need to start your day: fresh fruits, eggs, meats, bread, juices, tea, and coffee. It wasn’t over-the-top, but it was satisfying and well organized.

One of the best parts was the location. The hotel was within a 15–20 minute walk to everything I wanted to see, which made exploring Porto very easy and convenient.

Overall, a solid and comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was fine but nothing great. It also was not varied much day-to-day. The AC didn't work great and kind of worked as it wanted to. The bathrooms were nice and the shower was good. The hotel is in a good area but be prepared for walking steep hills if you're not in a car. Overall it's a fine stay. Nothing stellar but not bad.

Very comfortable!

The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. The shower was easy to use and shampoo was provided. The buffet breakfast was included and it was very helpful since we had busy mornings. The location was great, it was a 10-25 minute walk from all the major attractions in my opinion. A 6 minute walk away from one of the famous blue tile churches, which is a great place to take photos.

Overall it was very comfortable and I would definitely stay here again if I came to Porto.

Maria the really old woman with the glasses and shoulder length hair is the one that checked me in on Tuesday night/evening. She was rude and unhelpful. She should not be in hospitality if she cannot be hospitable. She was grumpy and had an unwelcome face and because of that, I would never recommend anyone to stay here because of her. She needs to be retrained and needs to fix her face and actually smile and welcome guests, especially if it’s their first time in your city of Porto. Room she assigned me was horrible and dirty and smelled really bad.

The hotel rate is very fair, was just dissatisfied with the a/c that did not work well and the presence of ants in the room. Overall it is a good location, staff are friendly and the room was clean except for ants and this was dealt with on the 2nd day. There are good restaurants nearby and walking distance to most Porto attractions.

We stayed here because the Casual hotel in Cadiz Spain was amazing.
But here, several little things did not work: the light above the bed, the hand held shower mode button, the tv. And the morning we left, the toilet seat fell off. And the bed squeaked every time you moved.
Little things granted, but they add up.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights there and I must say that the hotel is top notch. The staff is very kind, considerate and helpful. We had a standard room and it was really impressive. Very clean room and bathroom. Great breakfast. Well worth the price. Quiet neighborhood. Our room was on the street side and there was no noise. I highly recommend the Casual Inca Porto if you are staying in Porto. This hotel is already in the favorites of my internet browser.

This property is not a 3-4 star hotel. My family have travelled extensively and we have stayed at far superior hotels for half the fare. I am of Portuguese decent and am very proud of my heritage, but this hotel stay made me extremely sad and disappointed. Please do not let me discourage anyone from traveling to one of my favorite cities in the world. Just know that there are really great accommodations in Porto, however this one is horrible. Employees were pleasant, but we left this morning without showering because of the condition of the bedroom and bathroom! This should say it all.

After what seemed quite a long cab ride from railway station we were surprised how close we were to the centre of town. Reception and bar staff very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is in walking distance of Porto’s attractions. The WiFi was reliable and the breakfast plentiful and good. The hotel is a dated (a bit 1980s) but it’s not a resort hotel where you spend the whole day so it didn’t matter. I wanted B&B not the full swanky experience so it suited my needs.

Location was fine for us to walk to the many \"must see attractions\" in Porto but might not work for those not use to walking up hill to return to this hotel. Taxis are of course a solution to that. There was a big Asian tour group there, so the breakfast buffet was not a relaxing experience.

We were very pleased with our choice to stay at Best Western Inca in Porto. Staff is very engaged and helpful. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean. The buffet breakfast is truly outstanding and it is obvious that the chef makes a point of giving many choices. In future, may we suggest offering facial tissues, night light in bathroom and shampoo? There were none and we had to go out to purchase them. We have stayed in many Best Westerns [France, Spain, USA] where those were available. The air-conditioning control was inconsistent; sometimes it worked, sometimes not.

We spent two days in Porto, staying at this hotel. The room was functional and clean, but the entire place feels outdated and worn. Breakfast was also OK, but not all of the food was well prepared and fresh. The location is quiet, safe, and convenient, which is a plus. The room safe required an extra fee, and I personally find these petty charges annoying.

Best Western Inca / budget Western Inca

Very dated best western could do with a revamp. The twin rooms are more like a double with an inch separation between the beds so bare in mind if you like a bit of room! Breakfast is good and they also accommodated for my friends gluten free requirements. Its a great location within close proximity to a few restaurants / cafes & transport.
However the staff blamed our group for a broken chair but English was too limited to actually tell us what happened and they charged us 50 euros (Also with no chair present) That was the only poor part of the stay. Still I would recommend the hotel as a budget hotel although if I returned I would probably spend that little bit more for the added comfort.

A great location Hotel and we arrived very early, but were allowed to store our bags which was very welcomed. The staff were great throughout. A brilliant breakfast albeit it doesn't start until 0730hrs which didn't help on our last day due to flight timings.We were on the 6th floor and the Wifi was a bit ropey in/out like a fiddlers elbow.
The hotel is a little dated though and could do with modernising somewhat, especially the room. But for what we paid, it was great city break and we would stay here again.

A good location towards the top of the city centre

This was a handy place to stay in Porto and have as our base for sight-seeing a really interesting city. Hotel Inca are undergoing a refurbishment programme, and our room was on the 1st floor which had been refurbished. We were initially given a room at the front of the hotel, but this proved noisy overnight with fast-moving cars on the cobbled street and revelling university students at 2am! We requested and were given another room at the back and this was not only quiet but had a small patio area as well. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful during our stay, the breakfasts were excellent and our request for wheat and gluten-free options responded to well.

I recently spent a few days at this hotel and I really enjoyed my stay. Yes, some of the décor is in need of modernisation but this should not detract from its excellent qualities.

Pros:

1. Good location near to lots of good restaurants, bars and near to the Trindade Metro Stop.
2. Brilliant reception staff.
3. Good breakfast.
4. Lovely bar with reasonable prices for a hotel.
5. Clean hotel with attentive chambermaids who ensure that the rooms are kept very clean.
6. Comfortable rooms.

Cons:

1. The décor is a little dated.
2. The shower was not that powerful but adequate.

Overall, the pros outweigh the negatives and I would go back again.

Lovely hotel close to the main attractions

Me and my friend stayed in the hotel 5 nights and liked the place. Its close to Trindade metro station and the main train station Sao Bento. What is more, the hotel is located in the historical part of town so you can see all the attractions within walking distance. If you like the night life and fancy a drink at night or something to eat, its not a problem since you can find lots of bars and restaurants close by. There`s even a small local shop down the road. We would definitely stay again in the hotel.

Hotel was clean but rooms need updating, however informed by staff that this is in the process of being done over the next six months. The first floor has been completed and looks very nice, although unable to view the rooms as occupied. Staff very friendly and there was a very good breakfast available. Need to get taxi from metro about 10 mins walk away but all uphill. So you have to be fit! However if you can walk well the hotel is not too far from tram stop which takes you into town. All together a pleasant stay and spoils use again when renovated fully. 😀

On arrival I arrived too early. However the Receptionist kindly took in our luggage. She also upgraded our room to double bed instead of two singles at no extra cost. Which allowed us to be able to go to room 2 hrs before. All staff friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely stay at this hotel. Very recommended.

Best Western Hotel Inca Porto

Hotel was clean and tidy. It was located in a quiet (but dark) quarter of Porto next to the local police station. If you are arriving by air catch the metro to Trinidade. On leaving the station turn right towards the flyover. At the flyover junction turn left and walk towards the \"garden\" square ahead. At the far end of the square turn left down the cobbled road until the road turns right. Finally turn left at the square ahead, pass that Police Station and the hotel is next on your left. The whole walk should only take 10 minutes from the station. I was on the 6th floor and (usually) chose to take the stairs, even if the staff were always encouraging you to take the lift. TV choice is mixed - Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, German and for the English Sky News and CNN. The breakfast is indeed FULL offering cereal, fruit, cheese, bread, cake, a variety of fried items (different each day, shame about the frankfurters for sausages), yoghurt, milk, tea and coffee - something to suit all tastes served 7.30 to 10,30 each day. In your room there was a minibar and complimentary tea and coffee making facilities. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a good bath/shower and foot spa. Finally you can open the double glazed windows for fresh air if you prefer that alternative to the in room air conditioning offering.

Convenient for bars and restaurants [10 minutes down the hill] near to TRINIDADE metro station, get a three day metro pass from the info desk at the station or the tourist information office [approx. 15 euros per person] You can get to the beach using the metro and walk part the way back and then catch a tram. Best restaurant we visited was \"chic dream\" at jardim de cordoaria, good food and wine at a reasonable cost.

never again -- needs major upgrade!

I had read many of the reviews, but never believed it would be so bad! The rooms are very outdated and incredibly small. This hotel is in need of a major upgrade. I felt like I was in a college dorm from the 1960's; the location is not ideal, as it is on a very narrow road and near one of the police precincts, which may be a plus. The carpet was dingy. The bathroom was okay. The staff were helpful. I had breakfast once and it was good, but I would never rebook at this hotel, unless management makes the necessary upgrades - in terms of carpeting, furniture and lighting fixtures...but then there is the issue of space.
