The hotel is very nice and the staff are great. My checkout was on March 8th, management gave all the women a cute card and those checking out a cookie. The only draw back was the late night partying from the surrounding area and the rooftop bar was closed for the season.

Fantastic from start to finish, warm welcome at check-in with some local advice shared, nice little personal touches in the room and again on checkout.

The hotel itself was modern & well appointed, very comfortable bed and nice amenities. Location was great with everything within walking distance but be prepared for the hills!

Spoilt for choice with quality bars & restaurants on its doorstep, made for a fantastic visit to beautiful city, will definitely try their other locations when we return to Portugal.

It was my first time in Porto, Hotel Moon & Sun is in the perfect location and within walking distance to all the historical and sightseeing destinations. There are ample restaurants and cafes steps away, and markets and shopping are minutes walk away as well. A estadia foi boa, porém, logo na chegada, os recepcionistas se mostraram bem rudes quando verificamos que o hotel não respeitou nossa escolha de camas de solteiros no quarto. Os receocionistas queriam que, para consertar o erro deles, ficássemos num quarto inferior sem ter nenhum reembolso. Fora a forma de se dirigir a nós com muita petulância e aspereza.
De resto, tudo ok. Gostamos muito do café principalmente dos funcionários desse ambiente. Sempre muito educados e solícitos.

The hotel is very nice, looks like new.The guy's from the reception are very nice and friendly, also the bar tender and every one from the cleaning to the breakfast servers,are going extra miles to make us feel good. The breakfast is well represented by many type of food, eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, bread, cereals, pastries,salad and fruits. Coffee and tea is very good as well. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the old center ,the railroad station and many landmarks around. Also many restaurants to choose from. I really enjoyed the stay in this hotel and I will come back in the future.

I almost put good instead of excellent because the lift wasn’t working the day we were leaving and we were on the fifth floor! The staff accommodated us by bringing our luggage down in the service lift. It would have been even more appreciated if they had put our luggage in our hotel room the day we arrived as we were out all day until 9:30pm. The hotel is situated in a great location, is very clean, the rooms are comfortable, staff are very curious. We enjoyed the welcome drink, the bottle of water daily and the complimentary coffee and pastries in the afternoon. We would stay here again.

Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel moon and sun . Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean comfortable coffee making facilities, good shower l, water left daily in the room. Lovely note in the room welcoming us . Breakfast was great nice start to the day. Eggs bacon vegetarian options, fruit and cereals different breads, coffee and juices. Hotel was in a good position 15 minutes walk down to Reberia square or main train station and the River. Lots of good restaurants and bars close by. We used the roof top bar a couple of times late afternoon early evening one evening they had live music which was really good. All in all an excellent stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again when visiting lovely Porto. Thank you Moon and Sun

The person who designed this hotel has never stayed in our room. The hotel was dimmly lit in hallways and in rooms. it was bizzare that only way to have lights on in bathroom was to have main lights on. So used phone as light in bathroom. Faucet to short sink to shallow water got all over sink. Not enough room to put toiletries out.
Breakfast,we were never told that breakfast was extra charge until we got bill. Had we known we would never have eaten there,lots of cafes in neighborhood I am sure with better food.
Fire alarm went off in middlebof night we all got up people at front desk did not know what to do. We were never even comped breakfas next day..nothing for hours of sleep lost.
not even an apology!
Bar on roof deck..only friendly person was the bar tender. But getting up there with high steps no railing hard enough but getting down after a drink or so very scary. No railing,steep slippery marbel.

Everything was great. Check in was fast and easy. Most friendly and helpful person at the front desk. Our room wasn't large but it adequate, modern and very clean, as was the bathroom. Loved the double sinks. We used electrical outlets behind night tables for charging. Both the hotels we have stayed in so far on this trip have small refrigerators in the room, which we really use and appreciate. On the other hand, neither hotel had a place to put your clothes. A small closet for hanging things is not enough. How about a small chest of drawers to avoid living out of a suitcase.? This said, we would recommend this

Room was lovely and clean, as was all of the hotel, and in a good location, just outside to the main area but still very close. Beds very comfy!
The only negative was the lighting in the bedroom - it was way too dark to get ready in the bedroom and not everyone does hair/makeup in the bathroom. As it was still dark at 7am during our stay, you couldn’t get any daylight to add to the subdued lighting.
Some bright lamps would be a real benefit in the rooms… but overall we had a great stay:)

Not a 4 star hotel. Given what’s paid one would expect more.
The cleaning staff left the garbage bin in the middle of the room 1 day.
Water was only give every other day.
2 people in room they gave 1 washcloth.
They did not replace lotion when it was empty
Front desk guys not very helpful and quoted double the cost for a taxi and had the wrong pick up time as requested without apology.

The \"VIP\" rooms were tiny and furniture had to be moved to even plug in a charging cord. The rooms could use some hooks both in bathroom and bedroom as it would help with so little space. Driling holes in the shelf in the shower would be a great idea too so soap etc doesn't sit in a pile of water. Corners of shower were caked with black mildew. Windows couldn't be opened. I cannot recommend.

Cancelled Flight Leads to Mediocre Hotel

Felt tired. Serviceable and convenient location. Rooftop “bar” had no service and looked like a ghost town. Obviously not really being used. Bar in the lounge is cramped and not welcoming. Service was excellent and rooms fine. We booked it only because our flight was cancelled and we knew the area (we had stayed at a hotel just next door, Chic & Basic Gravity Hotel … much bettah).
