It’s a small hotel, but with a beautiful decorated lobby and where they serve breakfast. Also close to the center.The room had everything I needed
and breakfast was delicious and varied also natural juices including my favorite orange juice. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathtub it was very slippery. Thanks to Daniele and Edy, they were very nice, helpful and kind with me and my friend.

2nd time here - beds still as hard as previous so star still deducted. Could do with moving on the street sleepers , bit off putting on the walk up but didnt bother u either.

Staff was extremely friendly. walking distance to everything. Metro in front of hotel. But be aware homeless sleeping out front, one night had multiple arguments outside which they ended up locking front door. And the beds were extremely hard

Positive - Fantastic staff who are all very helpful. The hotel is located within walking distance of the Metro on a well lit and safe street. The rooms are clean and the toiletries are good.

Some improvement needed - TV is old and was not working. An upgrade would be nice. Also there are very few vegetarian options for breakfast.

Overall I had a really good stay. Thank you :)

Great location

The hotel is located very close to historic part of the city and nice restaurants. Walking distance to all places of interest. The room was comfortable and quiet, but not very big. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly. It is worth the money. Will stay there again.

Walk out of Trinidade metro station main entrance, turn right and go uphill on Rua de Camoes, hotel is halfway uphill on left side. Super convenient location. Trinidade station is also on the same purple subway line as the Porto airport. Decent breakfast, nice sized room.

Porto is a lovely city to visit even for non alcohol drinkers. I was amazed when I asked the barman to give me an alternative to the free Porto drink. I was offered the tiniest bottle of still water (not even sparkling) or a lemonade or orangeade served from a family size supermarket bottle. Told reception desk staff on departure, the guy couldn’t give a damn about the comment. You could see it on his face. Does it mean the Porto glass free drink has no real value? 🤔
Apart from that, struggled with lack of wall sockets. Location is great. Breakfast is quite good although fresh fruit very soggy and limited choice of teas. Good overall.

Easy to find outside Trindade metro station, which you can get to directly from the airport. Check-in staff efficient and helpful. Nice spacious rooms, tea/coffee etc., and nice bathroom with good hot shower. Nice choices for breakfast also. I think the young lady on checking out wasn't having a good day! But overall, would recommend staying here.

Big Disappointment

This was a birthday present for my wife, so I went for what appeared to be a great hotel. Sadly not...Staff were pleasant and helpful but everything else was below 4* expectations. The hotel is situated conveniently close to Trindade Station, but this is just outside the old city area, in a scruffy area. The views from the bedrooms reflected this, although our view of a concrete wall would have been gross anywhere. The room was also dark, and while pleasantly decorated and a reasonable size there was little space for clothes (think Premier Inn or Holiday Inn Express). There was also only one chair and no desk! Worst though, were the beds: solidly hard, leaving my wife with continuous aches and pains. Since there was minimal seating in public areas, this made it difficult to watch the news channels (only English language channels) in anything resembling comfort and it was too dark to read. There was a kettle and some tea/coffee bags (apparently milk sachets were available on request but there was no information on this). For all those who wondered what happened to the old-style kettles when they invented cordless ones, look no further!
So to breakfast, and despite some positive reviews this was also disappointing. Great if you like fresh fruit, juice, cakes and rolls, but the quality and choice for the cold buffet (cereals, meat, cheese etc.) were poor and the cooked breakfast was awful!

Convenient Porto hotel

Overall nice experience. Fairly close to the Center of town, with a little walk downhill. Right across from the main subway station. The room was stylish and decent space-wise. My only bathroom complaint would be that the shower tiles had been painted with a trendier color which was ok, but the paint was peeling in places. Breakfast was nicely varied. Staff provided a good nearby dinner recommendation for a genuine Portuguese meal.

I enjoyed my stay at the Porto Trindade hotel. It was out of the extremely busy section of town but so walkable to everything that I needed. I walked down to the river almost every day. My room was cleaned every day, the bed was comfortable and it was very quite.

Great hotel, great location. Rooms were very nice, bathroom was a little small, but not really a problem. Shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water. Bed was very comfortable. TV had enough English channels - only watched at night before going to sleep, so didn't watch a whole lot. Breakfast was included and was great. Staff was very helpful. Nice lobby. Nicely decorated. Very modern. Hotel was clean and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Small comfortable hotel. Very quiet, despite it's location. Room was air conditioned, beds very comfortable, but the chaise lounge dominated and served little purpose. It blocked access to the coffee facilities. No milk available for tea and coffee.
Staff were all helpful. There was WiFi and access to a computer. Breakfast was a range of standard hotel fair.

I chose this hotel as I thought it would be an easy transfer from the airport to Trindade Station by Metro - and it was! You leave the metro and it is 50m on the left up a slight hill. It was modern and had a good breakfast. I was happy with my choice.

Great hotel near everything

This was a great hotel for visiting Porto. It is right across the street from the main travel center. Metro comes from the airport and stops at Trindade. From there you can go anywhere in the city, book any tour. Super convenient. The staff was very helpful holding my bags until I could check in while I visited the city. The breakfast was complete with everything you could want. Delicious. Found some great restaurants by the riverside to have dinner. Wonderful time in a world class city. The bed was luxurious and very quiet. I highly recommend this hotel.

A good base for the city

This is a very efficient and comfortable base for visiting Porto. The excellent Metro station is almost opposite the hotel. There is little else to recommend the immediate surrounding area, but central Porto is so close it should not be an issue.

Breakfast was good but not excellent, and the \"roof terrace\" is not worth the visit. Overall good value.

Overall a nice hotel. No parking available but they have arrangement with garage close by for a parking discount. Most of staff was very helpful. There was one that was horrible but that was not the norm. It is a good 20 minute walk to center. Breakfast good. Only strong wifi in common area.

A few minutes walk from many attractions and scores of shops. Our room was spacious, clean and well appointed. Excellent breakfast; choice was quite the best I've seen this year. Short family stay in Porto

The hotel is so handy, the staff couldn't have been more helpful and the facilities were great and v clean. It's just across the road from Trinidade metro station with its direct link from the airport.(2.85€) The hotel was very comfortable and clean and the breakfast was overwhelming- loads of fresh fruit, pastries, cheese and chorizo/ham and some hot food. Good surroundings and a late bar. An easy 10-15 mins to walk to all attractions. There is a tourist info office down the road where we booked a 2 day yellow tour bus (22€) which incl all bus transport around city, a river cruise and a port tour. The hotel staff were so helpful with good English. We booked on Expedia which worked out good value and v efficient. I would totally recommend this hotel.

This was by far the nicest hotel experience I've had in years. The room was quiet, beautifully decorated, and most important, it had comfortable beds! Breakfast buffet was extensive. The staff was accommodating during my short (2-day) stay. The hotel is across the street from the Trinidade Metro stop, which is nice for getting around, but it is NOT very close to restaurants. If you want more than a simple, low-cost meal, it is about a 15-20 minute walk into the shopping areas. But that was the only inconvenience.

2 day stay in this hotel . Trip from Lisbon

I have stayed in Porto many years ago and it is still full of character . The hotel was in a good location near all the shops if you wanted shopping and about 15 mins walk down to the river . Rooms are small but lovely . Comfortable beds and good bathroom . Water in room each day , coffee and tea making facilities too.
Staff on reception could be a little sharp as I did book a triple room as per Expedia said ! I chose this hotel as it said 3 beds and not 2 plus sofa ! Tis is my only complaint , however when I asked for a bed I was told sorry no .
Breakfast was great ; fruit , pastries, cake, cooked etc .. Lovely dining room and bar area

Go for the location, not the service

We recently stayed one night at the Hotel Porto Trindade and had a mixed experience. The location was excellent. The hotel had a modern design and the rooms were visually pleasing. We were very disappointed to find that the drain in our shower was not working - we had to turn the water off ever couple of minutes to allow the water level in the shower base to retreat before continuing with our shower. Being that we were only staying one night and had checked in quite late, we didn't address this issue with reception until checking out the following morning. The front desk staff offered us access to an alternate room to have another shower, but were not at all apologetic for the inconvenience we encountered nor willing to discount our full price room rate to compensate us for the negative experience. What is even more concerning is that if anyone in housekeeping had actually ran water in the shower when cleaning the bathroom, this problem would have been easily identified by hotel staff prior to our stay. We left the hotel quite concerned about how poorly our room must have been cleaned and even more upset by the lack of attention the hotel staff expressed with our concerns. If you don't run into any problems, this hotel will likely meet your needs... however, should a problem a rise, best of luck of trying to obtain any customer service to resolve your concerns.

The location was very good to get to from the metro. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, and we enjoyed the welcome drink of porto. The only downside to the hotel was the noise from the street being a bit loud, however we still had a peaceful sleep.

PORTO TRINDADE - Good choice in Porto

The Porto Trindade is well located a short block from the Trindade metro stop and a reasonable walk from Avenida dos Aliodos, where you will find quite a few restaurants. the staff is friendly and helpful.

The rooms are good sized with comfortable beds and include a refrigerator and coffee maker. There is a good shower, but no bathtub.

The breakfast buffet offers a few hot choices and a good array of meat, cheese, breads, fresh fruit, and juices. Other times of day, it doubles as a bar which also serves small snacks, including sandwiches.

The only drawback is, that although it's obviously a very new hotel, not everything works. The first morning, I found that the shower door wouldn't close and that one hinge in the toilet seat was broken. Both were fixed during the day, but the hinge broke again immediately. The phones reflect old technology; you can dial out, but once you're connected, nothing you enter on the keypad is recognized. For example, if you need to enter a code or credit card number, you won't be able to do so.

The hotel is reasonably priced, and a good choice for Porto. Just don't expect everything to work.

Nice hotel at great value

Porto Trindade Hotel is a very nice hotel, with modern decor. The breakfast was fabulous with lots of choices and great fresh fruit and pastries. Conveniently located right near the metro. Although it is a walk uphill from the Ribeira, it was a nice walk after dinner. If you don't want to walk or take a taxi, perhaps choose another hotel. We found it worth the good value to walk.

Friendly and helpful staff, complimentary glass of port on arrival. We were a little worried having read a bad review of cleanliness on tripadvisor, but couldn't fault our room. We were on the 9th floor (top), one of only 3 rooms on that floor so nice and quiet. Adjacent roof terrace with views over the city. Excellent buffet breakfast. Hotel is right opposite the metro but we drove here, good cheap parking 100 yards away in an underground car park. Free parking overnight, and discounted day-rate if you get your ticket validated at the hotel reception

A bimbo hotel - pretty to look at but no depth

The hotel is right in the city centre about equi-distance (20 mins walk) from the harbour front and the shopping district. It's a hilly city but that's part of its charm and on reflection we found the location ok as we did know it was uphill to the hotel from the harbour (where the port wine lodges and river cruises are).
It's a good-looking hotel, very modern and if we hadn't had any contact with the staff other than check-in and out we would probably have rated it much higher. We were unlucky on our first morning's breakfast to get there just as the staff launched a raid on the cleaning as there was 10 minutes of loud clattering and a very obvious staff prescence - it was not at all relaxing and I don't think the word 'discreet' had come up in staff training. Subsequent days were better but the breakfast offering often ran out of basics (including coffee) and guests had keep asking for refills which I don't really expect of a four star. Another experience was asking the front desk whether port wine lodges are open on Sundays and being told simply 'I don't know' - it is the city's main attraction, if he didn't know I think he should have tried to find out for us. Then there were little things like no smiles/acknowledgements and the room didn't have that crisp, sparkling look I expect after being made-up. A lot of the staff appeared extremely young and perhaps will improve with experience. I don't like to be negative or appear over-demanding as I sometimes think people are when I read these reviews but this hotel really did not meet our expectations. That said, maybe we were just unlucky. My boyfriend awards his hotel breakfast grading of 7/10. The scrambled eggs were extremely dry. I still wonder what those brownish jelly-like cubes placed near the cheese and ham were!!

Excellent modern hotel, only complaint

Excellent modern hotel, only complaint was lack of power plugs, had to pull out lamp to use jug or computer. Breakfast had great selection. Right opposite Trindade metro although a bit uphill with bags but then Porto is all a bit uphill. A very pretty city

Clean, modern, air conditioned hotel rooms with a good continental breakfast.
Metro conveniently located just outside hotel. A 25 min walk downhill to Reviera, and 15 minute walk to downtown shopping area. No nearby restaurants near hotel or room service available in hotel.
Wouldn't mind staying there again.

Ontvangst prima, bij binnenkomst op de kamer stond er een schaal fruit met chocolade voor ons klaar. Het ontbijt viel ons wat tegen. Wel veel taartjes en koekjes maar de soorten brood was wat karig. Bovendien geen gekookt of gebakken eitje. Wel scrumble eggs. Wij hadden op de bovenste verdieping een kamer met balkon. Echter de ramen en balkon zat onder vogelpoep.

Unser Zimmer war trotz früher Anreise schon bezugsfertig. Das Zimmer hatte einen großen Vorraum mit 2 Kleiderschränken, war insges. in einem relativ guten Zustand. Die eine oder andere Stelle müsste mal mit dem Pinsel nachbearbeitet werden. Der Fön funktionierte nicht, es gab aber problemlos Ersatz. Frühstücksbuffet mit allen gängigen Speisen bestückt. Die Hotelbar ist nicht wirklich gemütlich, eher zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Hotel hat eine zentrale Lage, direkt an der U-Bahnstation Trindade, von wo aus fast alle Ziele zu erreichen sind. Allerdings kann man vom Hotel aus auch sehr viele Punkte in Porto zu Fuß erreichen. Etwas störend empfanden wir, dass direkt neben dem Hoteleingang Obdachlose campieren.
Insges. würden wir die Unterkunft für einen Porto-Aufenthalt empfehlen.

The room was big, clean and quiet. The staff very helpful and service minded. Breakfast good. Close to metro station and a big supermarket. 15 min. walk to food market and historical \"must sees\". Can recommend!

Posizione inviabile davanti alla fermata della metro di Trindade, che arriva all aereoporto. A piedi si arriva dappertutto. Ci hanno omaggiato di un bicchiere di porto di benvenuto. Avevamo 2 camere , entrambe molto spaziose e con ogni comfort. Ottima colazione. Plastica abolita (shampoo nei dispenser e bicchieri di vetro). Prezzo onesto, consigliato

Dårlige sengelamper, mangler hyggebelysning.
Der var for få bøjler, ingen knager på værelset. Malplaceret sofa, der burde være et par stole i stedet.

Muy justo para ser aceptable.

Faltan de mantenimiento general.
El botón de la cisterna se cae, algunas luces no funcionan, la puerta del WC roza y se atranca en el suelo, el sujeta alcachofa de ducha estaba roto, imposible ducharse usando dos manos. Por otra parte, la ciudad es ruidosa, muy ruidosa por culpa de la adicción al coche de la población portuguesa, pero eso no es excusa para poner unas ventanas decentes, y en este hotel acercas una vela a la ventana cerrada y se podría apagar, no está bien rematado.

El personal sin mas, están siempre vigilando que no entre nadie ajeno al hotel, y poco más.

Sólo dan una llave magnética para la reserva de la habitación. Llevad el móvil a mano, por qué en los descansillos de cada planta no hay apenas luz. Son 6 habitaciones por planta, todas junto al ascensor, y solo un ascensor para todo el edificio.

El desayuno típico, no esperes jamón serrano, tan solo pavo y mortadela o similar. Algunos dulces (los peores pasteles de nata de Lisboa y Oporto que probamos), algo de fruta (melón, plátano, etc) y zumos con sabor justo, pero ninguna indicación de alérgenos por ninguna parte.
