This hotel was definitely in a great location to enjoy historical sites, shops of all sorts and bars and restaurants. The room itself was good and was very quiet considering it’s located in quite a hub of activity. Staff were friendly and helpful and it even had an elevator which was a lovely bonus. For the money I paid I would highly recommend it.

The hotel or Expedia failed us. I booked two rooms. One room with one bed and the other room with two beds. My confirmation print out shows that. The hotel oahd two rooms with one bed only. They said I did not reserve two beds for one room. My confirmations shows otherwise. They did not have another room available to accommodate the request. Someone messed up and we had a big problem with that.

Pros: the staff were very friendly, thanks for the early check in, room was very clean and very quiet, the bed was very comfortable, love the supermarket downstairs, good location walkable to many attractions, elevator worked well. CONS: No cool air conditioning, when I turned on the air con it was just a fan causing the room to smell of cigarettes, my guess was the air intake was near a smoking area, there were homeless and sketchy looking guys hanging near the entrance.

We asked twice about blankets. Staff never informed us about why we did not get it. We asked and was told that there are too many occupants. Breakfast was very limited.

The staff were good but when we needed something and reception staff were detained dealing with a large group checking in, we had to ask the staff working the bar to call us a taxi because there was only one staff working reception. The rooms for 2 people are quite small but very clean. The mattress was a thinner mattress on top of another mattress. The top mattress often shifted in the night. On occassion, we almost landed on the floor. The breakfast buffet was very good. Lots of options.
! The location is great. It is within walking distance to bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a grocery store next door which is convenient.

Had a car, so had to do a lap in peak traffic as no free temp parks out front and then parked illegally just to check in. Parking next door is subsided but still an unexpected cost, and parks are very tight.

Good clean rooms, excellent location in middle of downtown, market downstairs. Skip the breakfast and walk to a pasteleria nearby (there are plenty and cheaper), also skip the microwave pizza no matter how hungry you are!

if not for the bed, it was great!

Nice and adequate breakfast buffet with pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, meat and way more. The room was clean and roomy. We booked for 2 twin beds but we received one of them as a child bed which was not only too thin for an adult but even for a child would have been dangerous with a side board covering over 1/3 of the bed over the head. So one of us had to sleep on the floor and that's not what we paid $200 per night for. Disappointed. They should have mentioned on their page the situation of the bed or called it child bed.
Location was alright, a bit of walk to most areas to see.

Superb location as walking distance to many sights, restaurants and transportation. Also, supermarket in lower floor. Staff very competent and helpful. Had to request change of room due to excessive humidity. Excellent breakfast with variety of food. Recommend the hotel.

Hotel was in a good location right next to a large supermarket and lots of restaurants. No fridge which is not an issue but when asking for ice this was hard. Air conditioning was non existent. Rooms were clean and beds were comfy. Be careful booking a ‘mutliple bed’ room as the hotel consider this a family room but it was the same price as a twin bed room in hotel.com with no mention of it being a family room.

The place is close to main downtown point of interest. The is a parking with affordable price available. Room is really small for 3 (couple kid) people. The electric outlets are bad and very few outlets. In general with very few improvements would be a good place.

The hotel is conveniently located. I’ve stayed at Ibis hotels before and found very simple and pleasant hotels, but on this occasion our shower and sink clogged easily, and the toilet paper hanger was falling apart. The included breakfast was fair and staff was very kind and helpful. Would recommend for a single night stay.

I have used Ibis around the world and unfortunately this property was the worst I had been. First of all, there is a drug dealer on the right corner (bald guy with beard), multiple times when leaving the hotel we saw this guys selling drugs, it is a shame the hotel keep this situation.
It is a great location but that specific street is super decadent with homeless people around, kind of unsafe if go back to hotel late night, specially because they lock the front door and you need to ring a bell multiple times for than to unlock and so you can go upstairs.
They have the worst towel service for the room ever! They only provide (for a couple) 2 regular towel super small for any usage, no face towels, and on the worst condition possible.
Besides the location close to other tourist points, there is not any good point in the hotel.

The hotel was perfect for our needs. Room was clean, breakfeast was good and fresh and staff was very friendly. The area outside the hotel is a bit dirty but I would comeback there in the future. Everything we did amd saw was between a 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel.

Disappointing stay in Porto

This place needs some work. There were homeless people living in the entry way, the staff at the front desk and breakfast were not welcoming or kind. The advertising all talks about \"service with a smile\" yet not one employee ever smiled. We were told we'd get a discount for parking, yet we paid what the sign at the entrance of the garage said. The breakfast was minimal and not repeatedly stocked. Overall the worst place we stayed in Portugal.

The member of staff told her it would be better to speak in English. Perhaps a cultural issue, but my sister thought she was trying to use Portuguese and did not expect to be told to stop using Portuguese and switch to English

I loved the location. Less than a block away is a busy square with restaurants, cafes and bars; it's always bustling. The hotel was an easy (mostly flat) 10-minute walk from a metro stop. It's two blocks from an easy-to-use laundromat. A supermarket is attached to the hotel. It's an easy walk to the touristic highlights of Porto. The price was attractive, too, as was the breakfast.

Great location! Close to Don Luis Bridge, tram and Riberia. A hint...park in the public parking before the hotel entrance then check in to the hotel on the 3rd floor. The hotel is in a shopping mall and beside a grocery store. Excellent location! Tiny rooms but clean and new.

It is a place to sleep. Crummy room. Tiny bathroom. There’s a parking garage next door which was convenient and hotel gives you a voucher to get a small discount. The biggest surprise was the wonderful breakfast buffet. Very very nice! There are also tons of restaurants within a couple blocks.

Good breakfast buffet! Staff was being as helpful as they could. Room air conditioning was not working correctly, even after a technician visited. Thank goodness it was not terribly hot outside! The TV channels did not come through at all one morning - pixelated - satellite problem? The building is obviously old, renovated, and in a city neighborhood that is \"in transition\". Our room's one small window overlooked buildings that had been long abandoned and trashed.

The hotel is situated close to the centre of Porto. Rooms are what you expect for this price, adequate but perhaps a bit tight, though they could do with new towels. You enter the hotel from a small precinct which, while we were there was filthy and smelly. We never felt like we were valued guests, but I suppose you get what you pay for. Breakfast was poor, and not included in the room rate. Not recommended.

Really well located—the big supermarket below is a huge plus. Easy to get around, clean room. Helpful staff at the reception, which is on the 3rd fl. Negatives: towels felt a bit overused and shower door was leaky. But overall I’m glad I stayed here.

The listing says that there is air conditioning and there is not. When asked if there was or was not the staff on the desk found this question funny.. If you have the need for air conditioning, this hotel is not for you. Even in late March it was uncomfortable. Mid-summer would be hell. Literally.

Basic accommodation, but it's a budget hotel so was pretty much what I expected. Very good restaurant opposite . Road could be a bit noisy at night with traffic. Basic breakfast. On the plus it is convenient for walking I to city and not far from metro line. Supermarket underneath so handy for foodstuff. Modern rooms with a decent shower room.

Typical Ibis properties — clean and streamlined design — this one is in the outer edge of Histori center, but had a Pingon Duce in the lower level of the building and a not too far or too steep down hill walk to the metro station to the airport.
