I arrived to be told the hotel was full and my room was not functional..I am 80 years old and was sent to a nearby hotel. Couldn’t they have moved someone else. I was going to have to walk to the other hotel until they decided to put me in a taxi. Very disappointing!

It’s a lot of walk from the Hotel but you have to be in shape and wiling to do all the walking. It’s a great walk along the sea, bridges to cross and a lot to get lost on. This was one of the greatest tour my wife and I did.
Be fit for all the walk, if you’re not, get one of the 6 bridges Yacht tours and enjoy the view and the snakes!

We arrived in Porto after a red eye flight from America and we rode the train to the hotel. We were so tired. We arrived at the hotel at 10:45am and asked if we could possibly check in early. The answer was maybe by 2:45 pm. We asked for a restroom and was told it was on the 6th floor. After using the facility, we noticed a nice outside patio that no one was using. We sat down and relaxed as we had already paid for our room. After a few minutes, we were told we had to leave. The staff were not very welcoming.

Brilliant location with many restaurants close by. Staff were very friendly. Room was very spacious and clean. The shampoo/conditikner/shower gel was a nice touch in the room. Secure entry. There was a little noise from the street but we stayed at the weekend so more people out and about later at night. The noise did not bother us at all but may for very light sleepers. Breakfast was simple but plentiful and there is outside seating on the rooftop. Great hotel especially for the price.

The room I had was fairly basic, twin single beds, no frills, but the shower was good, everything worked. Well, the bedside lamp had a dodgy switch, but that was fixed immediately after I reported it, so they don’t lose marks for that. All the staff I dealt with were helpful and kind. The included breakfast was fine for a day or so, I imagine it would become repetitive over a long stay.

The staff of the hotel were great and room was comfortable. Unfortunately there is a club next door that is open from midnight to 6am that creates a lot of street noise. People congregate on the steps of the theatre itself after leaving the bar creating a noisy environment.

OK-ish stay
The hotel is in a great location, just about 20 minutes walk away from all major sights in Porto. There is car parking available opposite (don’t let the reviews hold you back, the car park is actually OK) for 15 euros/day. The reception staff is very polite and helpful. However, rooms could do with a lot of maintenance - loose toilet seat, leaking shower and shower head, decaying wood panels, worn out mattress etc. WiFi is good but it’s linked to the TV in some sort of weird arrangement so if you switch the TV off the wifi goes off. The breakfast easily tops one of the worst breakfasts we’ve ever had in a hotel. There is literally one type of cheese, one type of ham (doesn’t look very appetising), boiled egg, few sweet pastries and basic cereals. And melon. That’s the only fruit you have, nothing else, no greens, tomatoes or other legumes. Overall an OK-ish stay but given the cost of the 2 rooms we had for 3 nights (700 euros) the hotel is not good value for money and we would not stay again.

The hotel is located very close to the centre (the river is downhill from the hotel 15mins walking). There is a large supermarket 1 minute walk away, which serves all foods including hot meals. The rooms are very clean and spacious, we had a suite, which was certainly worth the upgrade. The rooftop breakfast was a delightful experience, particularly considering it was included with the room price. Also they have gluten free options, you just need to request them.
The car park directly opposite allows you to park for €15 per 24hours. Although you need to validate your parking ticket at the hotel reception.

The property is in a gorgeous art deco building which unfortunately is not well maintained. Our room was very large but there is a club in the building and the noise from the street at 2am was overwhelming. The breakfast was very basic.

A lovely hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Room excellent and a very good breakfast. Overlooks park which is being redeveloped so the view is of roadworks which don't look like being finished any time soon. But the location is excellent for all museums, shops, restaurants and strolling up and down the canals. Boat trips leave from right outside hotel. I recommend the Moliceiri Hotel.

Great little hotel. The room was very good, clean, two beds as I requested. Nobody \"upgraded\" me to a queen bed which is good. The shower and toilet were encased in frosted glass. I found that very elegant. There was enough privacy. Enough plugs to charge phones and batteries in the room beside the beds. Good lighting. Breakfast was very good. The coffee excellent. 24 hours reception staff (Eduardo) very polite and accommodating. The hotel is in walking distance from many attractions, Bolhao Market, good restaurants, railway station, metro station etc... The mattress on the bed was a bit hard/firm for my taste but I had a great time at Coliseum Porto and will definitely return.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff. For the money, this place is a great value if you can get by without a refrigerator, microwave, or balcony. Breakfast is included in the price. There is a parking garage right across the street for an extra fee, so getting the bags wasn't a big deal. I got one of the last spots before the garage filled up.. not sure where I could have parked if I had arrived 10 minutes later. I would stay here again.

The location is good. 10 mins walk from Sao Bento Train station. Lots of good affordable eateries nearby. Within walking distance to almost all attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Complimentary breakfast is good enough without variation from day to day. Downside to this place is you have to ask for complimentary tea and coffee in the room. The wifi is somehow tied to the smart tv. Wifi will be cut off if you switch off the tv unless you put the tv in sleep mode. Wifi strength is erratic. The bathroom is another issue.The toilet and the shower are not linked and the doors to them are semi transparent. Unless you're very comfortable with your room mate, you'll definitely see him/her in full monty. Apart from that, the stay is good and comfortable.

L'hotel est très bien situé, le personnel agréable et la deco sympa, toutefois, le lit n'était pas du tout confortable, probablement peu récent, je sentais les ressorts. O quarto é muito bom. Por outro lado a informação de disponibilidade de garagem está incorreta. O hotel não tem garagem. Existem dois convênios com estacionamentos próximos. Em ambos os os casos temos que arrastar as malas pela rua. No meu caso foi pior porque chovia MUITO na cidade do Porto. Além disto o café da manhã é paupérrimo. Não tem nem suco de frutas. As frutas que o hotel se resumem a algumas maçãs velhas e passadas. Enfim, para o padrão do hotel, precisa melhorar muito! Outro fato que merece registro é o comportamento da funcionária Sra Patrícia da recepção. Demonstrou enorme agressividade no tratamento e uma falta educação evidente, constrastando com os demais funcionários que são muito gentis, solicitos e prestativos.
