Our room was arms length from the reception front deck and baggage storage area. If I was to stay again I’d ask not to be put in room 4 as you could hear everything at reception.

This boutique hotel is beautiful and the staff are so welcoming and friendly. We loved our room which was very spacious and had a great view. We also loved the breakfast delivered to our room each morning. The hotel’s location is perfect and near lots of shops. It’s a short walk to the river as well. It was great value for money the money and we would certainly recommend it. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel who were all so welcoming and helpful.

My favorite thing about this hotel was the staff! They were so kind and helpful, always friendly when we came in or left. The location was excellent, the only thing that was difficult was all the stairs! There is a set of stairs to get to reception, then depending on your room location, more stairs to get there (but the staff helped us carry the big bags to and from our room, which was awesome). Rooms were clean, and the bathroom/room set up was nice.

The hotel location was excellent--very close to everything. The hotel itself had great service and was clean and high quality. However, there is NO lift in this hotel so the two flights from the street to reception and another flight up to the room was a bit of a hardship for seniors. The reception staff did help take our bags upstairs and down again, but still this seems like a real limitation you should know about before booking. The price was really excellent too for this location.

Another great experience staying in Europe! The staff were very nice from the start. They made excellent use of limited space, especially the coffee and snack station on each floor, which was both eye-opening and unique. We really loved how clean and well-organized everything was. I still give it 5 stars, even though I later realized we stayed in a smaller room than the one I originally booked and that there was no elevator. I guess I’ve been a bit spoiled and just assumed all European properties had elevators!

FLH Suites in Porto is located in a busy tourist area however once you entered the FLH Suites the ambiance completely changes to a quiet and peaceful place. The FLH room set-up is much better that a 5-star hotel. The bed, pillows, linens and beddings are of great quality. The customer service is great! The receptionists are all nice and pleasant to talk with. They are very attentive to my requests. Also, I love the breakfast delivered to my room at my preferred time. And the daily afternoon treats is a big plus!! Not to mention the amazing Porto wine available at the lobby, or a choice of coffee or tea after a long walk outside. There is no elevator to go up to my room but it didn’t bother me and my husband. It’s a good work-out everyday! I will recommend FLH Suites to anyone looking for a great stay at Porto. The location is great, walking distance to most tourist attractions, and the customer service is superb!! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at FLH Suites. Will definitely come back again in the future!!

This place was amazing. Made us feel at home from the second we walked in.they bring breakfast right to your door in the morning. Would definitely recommend and will definitely stay here again. Only thing it’s not handicap accessible. There’s lots of stairs on the way up, for someone who ate too much while I was on vacation definitely not a problem. I want to preface my lower rating not by anything negative that occurred, rather discontent with reviews not matching the experience. The location is 10000% incredible.
My honest opinion to help someone who may face mobility: Too. Many. Stairs. After climbing the hills all day and coming from Lisbon, the larger suite offered while it fit the price tag was not worth the painful 4 stories of non ADA compliant stairs. It was a painful mountain to climb with luggage and during the day made it a nuisance to want to go home to relax because there wasn’t much relaxation climbing stairs. The AC was very weak albeit they generously offered a fan which helped. The bathrooms: modern design does not constitute comfort. The bathroom is a sacred private space in which I do not need or want to hear everything, including seeing a silhouette of somebody using the bathroom, especially when breakfast is served to you in the room. It’s incredibly uncomfortable. I came with my fiance and even then no one is comfortable using a toilet where you hear EVERYTHING. We laughed and used the MTV music channel blasted to diffuse noise. All in all the staff was super kind and offered great suggestions. Breakfast was lovely and was nice being served in the room at the time you want. But I was disappointed that none of the previous reviews offered a transparent view on the technicalities.

Great hotel in a excellent location for exploring all the main sights of Porto. Nearest Metro station an easy walk away, plenty of shops on the doorstep and a straightforward journey back to the airport from the city.
Staff were very friendly and the service was great. The hotel was very clean, the facilities were excellent and we found our room to be very peaceful despite the bustling street outside. We had a wonderful 4 night stay.

The rooms were comfortable although my wife did not like the way the toilet/shower areas were not completely partitioned from the rest of the room. They had a great snack and coffee service on each landing. The location is very close to the tram stop, and we used it often to get around. The alley the hotel was on was a little grungy, but I prefer to consider that part of the charm of staying in the old city versus a modern hotel. The only negative was an ungodly amount of stairs (reason for 4 stars) to reach your room as the property has no elevator. If you have issues with stairs, avoid it, otherwise it was wonderful.

This hotel is like a hyper-small boarding house. My room was cramped with almost zero space, and the check-in desk was right outside my room door. It was like staying in a dorm-room, where you could hear every sound from the other rooms. In addition, the weather was between 50-65 degrees outside and the hotel shut off the central heating without communication to guests. (I found out in the middle of the night when I went to turn it on.). I would not stay at this property. They should drop the word ‘Suites’ from the title of this business.

Make sure you read they do not have a lift. There are many stairs leading into the property as well as each floor. You must be able to walk these with ease. Beautiful hotel with very nice rooms. This small hotel is a true gem! We just returned from a one week stay and were so happy with everything. The staff here are exceptional. Alison and Beatriz went out of their way to provide extraordinary service (as did their male colleague, but I did not get his name). They were more than happy to provide recommendations for dining, exploring , transportation … and even some of the local history .
The breakfast served to our room each morning was delightful! The eggs were always hot, and the croissants were warm and would melt in your mouth. We enjoyed starting our day overlooking this beautiful city while dining in the comfort and privacy of our own room.
Others have commented on the afternoon cakes each day ( a highlight for my husband).
As advertised, the hotel has lots of stairs, which add to its charm, but would, as others have mentioned, be a challenge for someone with mobility issues.
We loved our stay here and hope to return!

Originally booked a suite but that was on the 4th floor. As there was no elevator, we had to change to a smaller room on the second floor. Unfortunately, you do not get a refund for this. The room was nice with a view of Santa Catarina street and the Santa Catarina pedestrian area. The staff do help you carry your luggage but there are a lot of stairs. There is no restaurant in the hotel so you order breakfast and they deliver it to you, on a cart, in the morning.

Had a fantastic time staying at this property. The one downside is that there are no elevators, however encourage you to only pack a hand luggage and a backpack at best especially if you were staying on their top floor with the nicest rooms.

The breakfast that they bring to your room is so good and the tarts included with this breakfast aren’t they good!

Out of our room, the view was insane – without a doubt I’ll be back again
