Loved our honeymoon stay here! Perfect home base for a week of exploring the area. Loved the pool and especially loved the amazing generous and delicious free breakfast every morning!
The only issue we had were tiny ants in our room that made a few surfaces unusable, and we had to be very cautious not to prepare food in the room. But we understand that’s normal in the jungle so we weren’t bothered.

Good breakfast. Nice pool and good views. I learned the hard way that this hotel is not close to La Fortuna and getting a taxi or Uber into the city is hard to find or very expensive so beware of commuting challenges.

Awesome place! Only stayed there for a night, but the cabin was excellent. Only 2 of us and only used the front room, but small room in the back w/ twin beds would be great for kids or extra traveler’s. The staff we spoke with Cesar (front desk), Luis and Marie (restaurant) were all very friendly and courteous. Wish we had stayed there longer! Views from the entire property were incredible, cold pool and hot tub was perfect to relax in. A couple shops and restaurants in walking distance, this would be a great base camp to explore the lake and jungle. Thank you!

We loved our stay here. The property was fantastic, with a view that cannot be beat. The service, cleanliness, wifi and concierge support was excellent. We were one of the few that didn’t have their own car and so relied on drivers to take us to La Fortuna and activities. This was about $70 each way and so just be aware this property is about 40 minutes out of town. The peace and quiet, however was lovely after a day of activities. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful property we had a delightful stay. Huge thanks to Chris for being a great host and so welcoming! The room was beautiful, so peaceful and secluded with an amazing view (and toucans in the tree opposite!) and the pool area is equally stunning. Restaurant is also lovely (although not cheap) and all the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend this hotel one of my favourite places I've ever stayed!

This is a classic, elegant upscale hotel with well maintained, individual cottages each with a spectacular view of Lake Arenal (when the clouds lift). The food is outstanding, both the included breakfast and the ala carte lunch/dinner menu. The service is excellent and staff very helpful and friendly. It rained all 5 days we stayed here. But the rain did not keep us from hiking, birding, going to hot springs or hanging out at the covered hot tub on premises. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing and adventuresome vacation and I would highly recommend La Mansion.

Our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teens) stayed for 3 nights and had a wonderful experience. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Rooms were well maintained and had an authentic feel, although the shower was a bit difficult to keep at a consistent temperature. Beds were comfy. Pool was a bit chilly.
The location was a bit of a drive from Arenal and La Fortuna, so I was glad that we had rented a vehicle to get around.
Overall, we had a lovely stay and would certainly recommend to others looking to stay in the area.

Gorgeous view right outside our porch with nice wild life and fauna. They have breakfast included in the morning with choice of how to cook the eggs. If ever in this area, we would love to stay here again.

This hotel was amazing. When we arrived they greeted us with a welcome cocktail which we enjoyed in the open air restaurant/bar overlooking Lake Arenal. the room was clean and very pretty. The rooms are individual casitas with small patios in front overlooking the lake. We had a small fridge and a coffee maker in the room, very handy for enjoying morning coffee on our patio with beautiful views.
There are 2 pools, one heated, also overlooking the lake. the entire property is meticulously maintained with lawns and lush flowers and vegetation. And the best part is the extremely friendly and helpful staff.

The room was exactly as the photos looked only the view is even more spectacular! We really enjoyed staying here even though the drive to La Fortuna is long and requires patience. I mean we drove it everyday so to each their own there. But don’t plan on walking anywhere from here except another restaurant and mini mart.

This is the best place to stay in the area if you want to be in a serene lake area and close to fortuna. Otherwise stay in fortuna. This property is quaint quality and with amazing hospitality. I hope to return again soon.

The staff there were the kindest, most attentive, and friendly people that were not only patient with our lack of Spanish but helped us with the language when we showed interest.
It is a little bit of a drive to La Fortuna (~20 min.) but is very close to the Mistico Hanging bridges and having to drive a little was 100% worth every trying this facility offers. I will recommend this place to everyone I know and definitely return!

This place is a hidden gem. Blink and you'll miss it. In between Nuevo Arenal and La Fortuna, beautiful lake views and if it's clear, Arenal Volcano. Cozy cottages with everything you need to feel comfortable including a pool and large hot tub. Great food at the restaurant on site (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and a small gift shop and another restaurant within walking distance. Great for couples and families!

The hotel grounds are BEAUTIFUL!!! I woke up to a gorgeous view that I could see RIGHT FROM MY BED! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Chris was the absolute best!!!! He helped with everything from checking in to reservations to recommendations! The hotel itself is not in a “hot spot” but it is conveniently located on the route that leads to La Fortuna and popular hot springs. So, it was an easy drive to get to different activities and restaurants. I will definitely return!

It was truly an amazing experience. View alone worth million dollar. Staff was extremely considerate and courteous. Swimming pool and Hot tub experience was great. Not to mention, food was very delicious and tasteful. I will recommend very highly and will say just have breakfast and dinner at this place only. There was some minor issue with the internet but the staff actioned it right away. You may feel place is slightly away from LA Fortuna but the price and experience, no one can beat it.

La Mansion is a beautiful property. Very unique with individual villas. We stayed in #10, which has three bedrooms, a kitchen, and it's own heated pool. The views of Lake Arenal are truly amazing. The staff was the best! Very nice, polite, fun and helpful. The restaurant is great too. We stayed here due to its proximity to La Fortuna. It's close enough to drive back and forth but far enough away to get out of the hustle and bustle of the town. I highly recommend you consider La Mansion.

It if a very unique property with great views. However, there was little to no hot water for showers. We told staff about this, and they came to look at it. After that, we would get hot water for a minute and then back to cold water.

I came back with my family for their breakfast and asked for another cup of coffee when host replied that it’s not possible, as I have already had my breakfast. Same answer for my son who asked if he can have a cup of yogurt with his omelette.

Waking up to bird chirping and viewing sunset from pool is absolutely breathtaking . You need a car to commute . Taxis/ uber needs to be booked in advance . Breakfast options are limited. Pool / jacuzzi should be open till later in the evening . We enjoyed the pool table and chess in the late evening with kids.

The staff here is exceptional. Cesar is a great host and will do whatever it takes to make your stay memorable. He booked our white-water rafting trip for us. Chris, in the restaurant, was very attentive and even passed along some messages from the rafting company to us. It is about 20 minutes out of La Fortuna with a beautiful view of Lake Arenal. Lots of birds to see, too. This was the 2nd time we’ve stayed here and when we get back to CR, we will stay there again.

The Inn is nothing short of fabulous. The location is perfect (totally worth the scenic but very windy drive getting there…just take your time and enjoy the ride!) and a great place to just sit at the pool and enjoy the incredible views or to take a ride and check out other areas. You get so much for your money there and they have a terrific restaurant and bar on premises. Cesar is a terrific host and a tremendous resource to recommend places to go and things to do. We spent 5 days at Playa Conchal and 2 days at La Mansion but I wish we had done the reverse and stayed in the rainforest longer. The sights and sounds are endlessly beautiful.

I loved it! The views are unbeatable and the value of that panorama at that price is incredible. The staff are really nice and accommodating. I enjoyed both the free breakfast and the outstanding dinner I had there. The rooms have a lot of fun and cool decorations and furnishings. I'd say the only 2 criticisms are that the wi-fi could be stronger inside the bungalows and that it's a bit far from Arenal.

Waking up to the lake view and rainforest sounds every morning was heavenly. I didn’t get a chance to hike down to the lake because the rain was in predictable the morning we tried to do that. Breakfast was okay, not too many healthy options. Dinner options were okay. The Cesar salad was amazing! Although it’s a lil drive from places like La Fortuna, I would definitely stay here again.
