The location is amazing, you're right across from Terminal 21, muay thai gym, lotus grocery store, there are very cheap public transportation (baht bus) always across the street on the corner that will take you straight to central festival mall, or walking street/ pattaya beach.
The pool is huge, very clean, and safe.
The staff were all amazing, and very friendly and helpful.
The room was very spacious, and very clean. Great amenities, mini fridge, bathtub, shower with lots of hot water. And the breakfast buffet was really good for the cost. Will definitely be coming back and staying here again.

I been to sunshine garden resort 3 times this year the other 2 times were good but this time there was a lot of building work going on ,the builder and staff did the best they could to keep the noise diwn and clean but its will look good when it is finished, i will definitely be going back when i return to Thailand in the near future, love the hotel and staff always make you feel welcome and can not do enough for you

Old run down place

We arrived in Pattaya quite late and having travelled for many hours to get there so wanted to leave bags in the room and go eat. We didnt have a good look in the room but when returning we found the room was not like the pictures online. The room was very run down and worn and torn. We asked to change room and staff asked if i could tomorrow. Fair enough it was late at night but couldnt you try? I convinced them to try and was shown 2 other rooms. We ended up in room 616 which was more like the pictures however it is right next to the bar and they played loud music from 10am. The whole place is really run down and not the best service. They were also renovating the place so you could hear construction work from time to time. I dont recommend this place and i have stayed in the next hotel much better for a few more dollars.

I been to this resort twice now the first time was excellent, but this time round i found the grounds where poorly maintained, the swimming pool area was not clean daily, but the room service was good and the staff were very helpful and friendly and i feel safe staying here ,i am going back in July for a 3rd time hopefully it will improve a bit

The first room I got was outmoded, The second room the air condition not works the first 2 days. After repair you could not switch every thing on the air. You could only stay hot or cold. For me it is not a 3 stars hotel.

.the only complaint I have is the WIFI was completely terrible...other than that..I love the place and may stay there again if I ever get back to Thailand....

The hotel is starting to show its age. Comfortable enough but a little dated. No lift, but low level - only 2 floors. Could do with 1 or 2 more cats hanging around as we saw a rat scurry across the floor in the main reception area - the reception is open plan and exposed to the elements and nature so not a lot they can do to keep out the odd \"mickey mouse\". Surrounding area is quiet at night compared to a lot of other parts of Pattaya. Hotel is very convenient for the new Terminal 21 shopping plaza - short walk across a busy main road.

The staff was very good, breakfast was fantastic, rooms were clean and area was very central and easy to access. Pool and bar were very good and staff great. Overall excellent and would recommend. Only issue was we booked a taxi for airport, paid in advance but it never showed. The staff were quite vague and didnt seem to want to help...very odd. I had to get another taxi and the boss finally came out with refund.

Awesome place!

This resort is awesome in the heart of Pattaya but far enough from the noise of Walkibg Street at night. The baht bus circled regularly and its right opposite the new Terminal 21 shops. Has awesome open pool enclosed within the gardens.

You get what you pay for

The rooms were very basic but kept nice and clean. There was no bar to relax and have a drink in the evening so we had to go out every night. the pool was nice & the guy that ran the pool bar was excellent a credit to the hotel very helpful. The staff were helpful and pleasant. There are a lot of young Indian men coming and going at the hotel they were very noisy. On the whole thought good value for money.

excellent location 10 mins away from beach .. room cleaned every day.. coffee ..tea and water supplied every day.. buffet breakfast had plenty of choice only issue is for vegetarians that was limited .. but still good. swimming pool nice size and clean only issue was people putting towels on the loungers ..i saw that at 7am and they would not return back for a few hours.. but otherwise nice hotel i had no issues.. i did read all the on line review s on line and i found ppl were moaning over little things like size of water bottles and spicy food etc..get a life people..i would certainly recommend the hotel to any one

This hotel is at the junction of Second road and Beach road where a majority of songtaew buses begin the route down beach road. So it is easy to find and yet the rooms are far enough away from the road to not hear any noise. There is a large swimming pool and food ordered from the bar is of good quality

Good location at Dolphin roundabout, just stroll to convenience store, many bars and restaurants. Frequent baht buses to take you along Beach Road for ten bahts. PLeasant pool. I had jacuzzi on balcony, hard to get out safely as base slippery.
Negative, many Indians with their own customs, for which one does not care.

The hotel has polite and helpful staff. The buffet breakfast + egg chef is reasonable. The swimming pool is quite large and clean. The room was quite large with a balcony and has an electronic safe. The location is at the junction of Beach Road and Second Road and thus very good for the 10 baht bus to enable access to most of the major shopping sites and restaurants.

Sunshine Garden is in a good location and you can easily catch a bus down Beach Road. The staff was very nice and helpful and I would give them 5/5. The room itself was \"ok\". It was clean but the shower was not the best as you have to hold the shower head in your hand as you try to have a proper shower. The fridge was malfunctioning so I had to unplug from wall to stop the noises. Nice gardens around the hotel make it a very nice relaxing place. There was a Bollywood music video being produced across the street the first morning. Pounding music at 9 a.m. Obviously this was not the hotels fault at all but it made my stay not so good.

The staff at the hotel were very good and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style and reasonable. The swimming pool is quite large and there is also a splash pool for younger children. The pool area has a bar during the day which also arranges food. The hotel is located very close to the junction of Beach Road and Second Road and so there are many 10 baht taxis to take you to the beach and to places like Central Festival (major shopping centre)

Sunshine hotel is located at North end of Pattaya, away from the very busy part of Pattaya but easily reached by baht taxi or walking. The hotel has nice grounds and the pool and pool area is good.We had the room with jacuzzi on balcony. We only used it once though. The room was large with facilities as stated by hotel. Bed was comfortable.The bathroom was very poor and needs complete replacement and increase in size.For such a large room there was no drawer space for clothes.Breakfast food was of a very good quality and nice dining area and veranda to sit out on as well. Staff were friendly, helpful and unobtrusive.I would like to stay here again but would like to see bathroom in room I stayed in improved.

rooms are very basic. The bathrooms leave a lot to be desired in both condition and cleanliness. Not the cleaners fault but lack of updating and maintenance over the years means black grout etc.Curtain rail did not even fit in the bath section so therefore the floor was a paddling pool every time you had a shower as the shower head was not adjustable. Only had a couple of hangers in the wardrobe and no drawers to put clothes in. Very noisy as I was very close to reception so could hear the phone ringing and people talking all the time. The pathway around the pool area is made up of stones in concrete so every time the porter went past the trolleys were very noisy as well. Having said this the staff were pleasant, the pool area was quite nice and we like the location so not all bad.

We have stayed here many times & thru the course of our visits we have met many others who have also stayed here many times. There can be only 1 main reason for this. It is because we enjoy the hotel which in itself includes many things.
The recent renovations including the pool, as well as a visible change in attitude among the staff are making this hotel even nicer. The hilite of this most recent trip was the outstanding personal skills of a nice young lady named Jub. She works at the pool bar twice/week & the meeting room a couple days. I believe it is her natural personality that makes her the nicest & most efficient hotel staff members we have seen at this hotel. In fact at other hotels as well. Whoever hired her should be congratulated. Looking forward to our next visit.

don't stay here! almost ruined my trip.
the staff has zero knowledge about customer service. they only care about their position. check time was 4pm, instead of 2pm. hotel refused to make it up us. later in the night we wanted to borrow a knife to cuts some fruits....the staff refused saying they have no knife to lend as they lost a knife in the past to some other customer. breakfastbuffet is very limited. the pool closes at 7pm. no way to ask for an extra 5 mins!!

We have stayed here many times. We live in Bangkok & Pattaya is our \"Go-to\" spot.
The recent improvements at SGR add to the comfort of the stay.
Fewer staff mean longer wait time but who's in a hurry! Pool is cleaned everyday, water is lovely, location near many food outlets & a 10 min max walk to beach can't be beat. We have no complaints. Room cleaning staff are very friendly & accommodating as is the check-in lady. Guaranteed return for us!

Great location. Adequate room. Pleasant grounds. Swimming pool fine. Staff were courteous, though not friendly. Some were less than courteous! Worst aspect of stay: they closed swimming pool at 7.00 pm, ostensibly for cleaning. Man in charge quite rude. No cleaning done till much later. Waste of one of their most valuable resources -I like to swim in the cool of the evening, and it prevented me from enjoying the pool at the best time!! Breakfast buffet good and staff there were the best and most friendly in the whole hotel!!

Not bad for the price

We chose this hotel for new years eve because of the location and price. Location is great if you don't mind riding the local taxi/bus/pick-up trucks. The grounds are beautiful, especially the court yard and pool area.

The room was OK, clean and pretty well maintained. But it is an older property and shows its age in places. Not likely to receive any type of major renovation either. The land it's on is way too valuable for the structure presently on it, which is sprawling and only 3 stories tall. I predict demolition of the current building to make way for a high rise hotel or condo in the future.

Fantastic hotel, wonderful staff, nice clean rooms (I booked 7 rooms) with good transport links to the beach, Mikes shopping mall, walking street. Simply we couldn't have asked for more.
The GM Dan was at hand in hotel staff (Colourful shirts) uniform to take care of guests minor concerns, The rest of the crew were pleasent and always very helpful.
More importantly, the cost per day was so low and represented good VALUE for money.
Security was very good with 24 hour manning and video cameras on every corridor.
Highly recommend this hotel, and for next year we will not look anywhere else.

Nice Renovations

Much has been accomplished since our July visit earlier this year. New Air Cons, roofing, several touches on the rooms, buildings & lots to the pool & surrounding area. Very nice work. This remains 1 of our favorite spots in Pattaya. Very nice & a big thanks to the \"chief renovator\" & of course the financer. We'll keep visiting as long as we're living in Thailand. The only real noticeable change is the person in charge of the towel/bar area of the pool. Very rude person & the only one like that in all our years visiting. The former staff were trained in customer service. The rest is quite give. We enjoy it & will continue to return.

Recently Renovated

We have been driving here from Bangkok for the past several years. We are very happy with the recent changes to the pool including new tiles & chair covers. Water remains super clean. Rooms have been touched up to seem more spacious & have better lighting. New aircons in the rooms helps a great deal. We'll continue to enjoy this resort as long as we're living in Thailand. Service is fine & restaurant meals are good. They make some excellent Thai soups. We'll return in December.

We stay here on a fairly regular basis. It is only an hour drive for us from Bangkok which we like. Easy to get to, no frills, clean pool, happy service and comfortable. All we really need. Many shops, restaurants nearby so location is great. It is what it is. We did notice that many of the Air Conditioners are in need of servicing, especially during the hot weather. We have no issues with staying here & we understand fully what we are booking.

Overall, it was value for money. The service and the location were great. However, condition and cleanliness of hotel needs urgent improvement. Found a dead cockcroach in the room upon check-in. Toiletries provided were too little. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was just average. Pool is too small, often overcrowded with guests. Too many mosquitoes around. Better to bring along insect repellent.

Final Family

Our daughter & her boyfriend flew back to Canada after spending 8 months with us in Bangkok. When asked where they wished to go for their final holiday they chose Pattaya & were totally fine with the Sunshine Garden. Pool is clean, staff are very friendly & the location is superb. We have stayed here many times & will continue to stay here.

We took our Canadian friends to the beach for 1 day. Stayed here again, nice pool, good buffet breakfast, rooms are inexpensive, and only a couple minutes to the beach. We've stayed here many times & quite enjoy the atmosphere.

Reason to Return

This is our 2nd time to stay at this hotel. It is really easy for us to drive to from Bangkok, only 130Km so about 75 min on the wonderful expressway. This visit we were initially placed in 2 twin rooms non pool side but the management & cleaning staff located us 2 double rooms on the ground floor pool side for the remaining 2 nites of our stay. We had the breakfast option this time which was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was fully booked for this Chinese New Year weekend. Great location, right across from a nice store/market which has a terrific bakery! Many food choices in the area as well as massage options. Only drawback this time was people putting towels on pool chairs then leaving them unattended. Nowhere to sit/lie down but no people for the chairs. We headed to the beach just down the road which was fine for us. Lovely little hair salon just around the corner as well. Pattaya has it all!

good honest value for money.

I have stayed at the Sunshine Garden many times over the last 17 years.It is near to the city centre for convenience,but away from the noise.The rooms have been upgraded,the pool is spotlessly clean,the gardens well maintained.Smile at the staff and they will smile back.Cable T.V.in the rooms for those rainy nights.Overall Excellent value for money.something you dont see much of these days.
