The location was amazing. It is right off of the main city centre strip and maybe a 30 second walk from the St Stephen's cathedral.
The lobby itself is worth a visit. Clean, spotless, sleek. It has a lovely atmosphere as soon as you come inside.
The staff at the front desk were helpful, and polite, and spoke fantastic english. They took our luggage until check in, allowing us to explore the city. They answered all of our questions, and looked after the room key each time we went out.
The lift to the room is right by reception - very easily to locate and allows getting to the room to be a very quick experience.
The room itself is lovely. An excellent shower, comfortable bed, big pillows, minibar, and a window that opens properly allowing fresh air.
I will recommend this hotel to anybody who is going to visit Vienna.

Very conveniently located to all key sites I would recommend staying at the Kaiserin Elisabeth but would suggest that you verify the room you are getting. When I arrived I was given a room with a window that did not have clear glass and looked into an air shaft that was uber dark. It took 3 tries to get a proper room.

This hotel has all the charm and class of old Vienna. My single room was functional and classy with a large bathroom. The bed was comfortable, and it was all very quiet. Breakfast was tasty and generous. Every staff member was friendly and helpful, and I had pleasant, fun conversations with several of them over the course of my stay.

Excellent experience from the collection at the airport to the return to the airport, everybody was extremely helpful and always pleasant and were focused on our needs. The references to Kaiserin Elizabeth throughout the hotel adds an element of historical relevance to a visit to Vienna. Very comfortable, extremely good breakfast buffet and quiet, well furnished room. Location is very central and perfect for exploring historical and imperial Vienna.

The mattress on my bed was in very poor condition. The front desk staff claimed they’d fixed a problem with the slats under the mattress. Didn’t fix the problem at all. I felt like I was in a pit. I ended up putting my head at the foot of the bed and this helped.

Excellent breakfast buffet, a large, quiet and beautifully furnished off-lobby lounge area and, in our room, an unusually large and well-equipped bathroom. Some of the corridor carpets show wear, and if that detail would trouble you, then look for a modern styled non-traditional hotel.

felt fortunate that we chose this hotel for my young daughter’s first visit to Vienna and would recommend it (and have already done so) to anyone planning to visit Vienna. It’s minutes away by foot to all the major landmarks and hidden gems of ancient Vienna city center but located along a street of local boutiques not bothered by the often noisy crowds of international tourists. After all we went to Vienna to experience Vienna and Austria; we have enough Hermes and alike in Manhattan. The hotel is old-school Vienna, both in terms of its physical structure and services. My daughter noted the rather spacious bathroom and the outer & inner doors to the hotel room. In some ways it’s a throwback to a bygone age. During our stay most other guests were German speakers. We enjoyed its particular charm, although some may find its digital infrastructure not up to date. The staff offered warm and gracious service of a kind that has become rare in today’s world. In particular, on our last day the manager whom we had not met before happened to be in the lobby when we returned from a long day of sightseeing. Upon noticing my daughter eyeing the antique phone in the lobby, he and the gentleman on duty at the front desk arranged a *secret* call (not once, but four times) so that my daughter could experience using a real phone and I could videotape the charming scene and conversation. It’s certainly a sweet memory we will always cherish.
