The hotel is in Kaarst not in Dusseldorf.. in terms of transportation and access it is not suitable at All,...people who works there are so rude and unprofessional.. you can an hour waiting to be check in with negligence from their part . As well they gave us a small room with a huge toilet,for disabled people .. they regused to change .awful hotelcand not recommended at all .

Not a great hotel just convenient

I would not recommend. Restaurant has a very limited basic menu and was the same menu for the 2 nights I ate there. I asked reception for the shower gel in the bath to be filled up and they failed to fill it up after asking. The corridor was not heated and cold, decor very tired.

Hotel was just OK for the 3 nights I stayed. If I had to stay there longer I would probably change hotel though. I requested through the app that I would like to have my room cleaned, I got an email confirmation that my request had been accepted, however this never happened. The toilet was leaking all the time and out of the 3 nights I stayed there, it was only the last night when the hot water was stable and consistent to have a shower. Bedside table and the desk that was in the room, had some sticky marks from glasses which apparently were from some sort of juice or beverage.

On the bright side, the staff was really helpful, food at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast was really nice.

The hotel is convenient for Kaarst and is about 20 minutes taxi out of Dusseldorf. I’ve stayed many times and is comfortable. Most of the staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast staff are a little surly but efficient. The food from the restaurant is limited but very tasty and the server at dinner is always welcoming and friendly

We reserved a double bed room but they sold out all the rooms before we arrived so we ended up in a twin room. The front desk staff was very accommodating but for a couple to sleep in 2 separate twin beds and then the coffee maker didn’t work so unfortunately we did not have a positive stay - high water pressure was the only positive aspect of the stay for us

The room was nice and clean. Queen size bed with small duvet (1 person). Breakfast buffet (included) was good, lots of choices and a carafe of coffee. Outdoor patio was available for seating. Staff was pleasant and helpful, despite my lack of German.

There was a gate to parking at street. I was dropped off and picked up so there was a bit of a walk to hotel entrance.

Overall, a pleasant stay.

We specifically looked for a property with ev charging and this hotel was offered. The night receptionist did not know about any charging station in the premises. The air-conditioning in the hotel room was also very warm even if we choose the lowest Celsius options, it was no use. Other than that, the room was okay.

What I liked: 10 minute walk from the S-Bahn || Peaceful area || close to an Aldi || clean property and nice rooms || Kind and helpful staff

What I didn’t like: Limited selection of the types of breakfast (although the options of the breakfast there were completely fine and made decently)

Overall: No real complaints with the hotel, the staff were helpful despite me not knowing German. I would definitely go there again.

Nice hotel, super friendly staff specially Laura ❤️, good location, cheap car parking (€8/day) and limited free parking available nearby. Clean, quiet, and spacious rooms with A/C and super comfy double bed.
Negattives: although it is a 4-stars hotel, there was no fridge in the room. In addition, no robes and no slippers. The swimming pool was small. It barely fits 6 adults. There was sauna but no steam room. Moreover, no towels is provided in the pool area.
I did not try the food in this place. In general, I recommend this hotel.

Very nice hotel in a quiet suburban location. Access to the IKEA Station was just a short walk away which made travel easy. For those with a vehicle there was ample parking in a large well lit lit. Rooms were huge with comfortable bedding. Staff was very friendly and allowed me to check in early after a very long flight.

Fantastic hotel in Kaarst (about 20 minutes outside of Dusseldorf). Very helpful staff. Good sized pool and gym area. A short 3 minute walk to main train line into Dusseldorf. Highly recommended.

Hotel is very clean and efficient and rooms are quiet. Prices for the restaurant and bar is fair. What isn't so good is that you have to pay for parking (this is an out-of-town hotel) which for me isn't justified for hotel guests. Also, the single beds seem narrow, but the duvets are extremely narrow - so much so, they keep moving off you on one side or the other which doesn't make for restful sleep.

Not bad if you're driving through

A decent hotel if you are driving on the nearby highways. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. They charge for parking but you can park for free just outside on the street. We stayed after flying in to DUS airport. It was about 20 mins driving from the airport.

This hotel was fine. Nothing special but functional and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. Please note that this hotel is approx. 10km away from the city centre so costs around €50 in a taxi. The nearest tram stop is a 20 min walk away so not ideal with luggage. There is not much in the surrounding area - only car show rooms and Ikea.

Been here in past stays. Was great. This stay I felt there was a friendly ghost in the room. Whilst lying in bed at night, had the strong smell of vitalis hair tonic flow through the room. Strange. But I'm believer in those kind of things. No harm. No foul.

Too much noise starting past 8 30 in the morning. Rather than that, great breakfast, parking, close to the Bahn station. The staff speaks good English, very helpful. Both paid parking with video surveillance as well as free parking is availble. I have not used the pool or wellness area, but have seen many people using it. Kids friendly, too.

First impression arriving in the lobby was good as the reception area looks recently renovated and has an appealing modern decor. In great contrast with the rest of the hotel once you step out of the elevators. Room furniture is outdated, tired and in dire need of renovation (at least in my room). Hallway and room carpet in need of at least a good cleaning or to be replaced. Staff is overall friendly. Shuttle to airport cost 25€ which I thought was a bit expensive.

This property is showing its age, but it doesn't affect the quality of the stay. The pillows however are not acceptable and there are no alternatives, despite booking a suite. Bathroom is nice but the shower & tub combination is a dated and hazardous element that should be eliminated. The suite should be upgraded to have a separate bath with a whirlpool and another with only a shower.

Great hotel even though location is not ideal.

We enjoyed our stay as we were 2 adults & 2 small children (5 & 2). The hotel was clean and there was a pool area to take the children. The suite we stayed in was perfect to allow the children to go to sleep while we could stay up and enjoy the evening. The breakfast buffet was top notch and very filling. We stayed there to attend an event at the Messe Dusseldorf and it was only a 15 minute drive away from the hotel so it worked out perfectly.

The receptionist gave us a room at the basement with a disgusting smell of smoke although it was said it is a non-smoking room. I also wanted two separate beds and she said it's impossible. After I saw this terrible room I asked her a clean room at least at the first floor. She changed the room with a more reasonable one reluctantly. Surprisingly it had two separate beds. It was my first and last stay in this dishonest hotel.

Pros: The hotel property itself is in good condition with an attractive interior decor befitting a mid-range property such as a Residence Inn. The staff was extremely gracious and accommodating. Also, the breakfast buffet offered a wide assortment of selections, both hot and cold (e.g., eggs, sausages, potatoes, fruits, cerals, pastries, etc.).

Cons: Only a portion of the hotel rooms have been remodeled as of April 2010 and the hotel property is difficult to find after exiting the highway. However, my overriding concern was the high volume (over 30 separate lines) of high voltage power lines adjacent to the hotel property. Most folks would probably not even notice the power lines, but as someone with a pacemaker - the strength of the EMF transmissions was off the charts. The hotel staff generously arranged to move my family into another property to accommodate our health concerns.

the worst hotel experience of my life

I was ripped off in the taxi on the way and the hotel staff did nothing to help me. My room smelled like somebody had died in there and they did nothing about it and sniggered at me behind the desk. The smell was so bad I couldn't sleep. I asked to switch rooms but they said they were full - which I knew they weren't as my business associate had cancelled at the last minute. They said they would clean the room thorougly but all they did was open the window, which did nothing to alter the smell. Eventually they switched my room but only after alot of complaining on my part and alot of sniggering behing the desk on theirs. The pool was about twice the size of my bath at home and they made no effort to give helpful directions to the train station so I got really lost.

Das Personal war sehr zu vor kommend sehr freundlich und immer hilfsbereit.
Das Hotel hingegen wird nicht wirklich gepflegt. Sehr viele Baustellen die Heizung in dem Zimmer war sehr laut und ohne Heizung war es zu kalt. Nachts nach 0:00 Uhr immer novh sehr laut auf den Fluren was man leider im Zimmer sehr gut hören kann.Die Stadt Kaarst erhebt pro Gast und Nacht 3,- Euro City Tax. Die man zu entrichten hat. Doch alleine der Vorplatz(Stadtparkplatz) des Hotel sieht nach einem Müllabladeplatz aus sehr sehr Schade.
Weil das Personal des Hotels sehr herzlich ist uns sein bestes tut. Der Zimmerservice muss sich noch einspielen.

We hadden verzoek gedaan voor een babybedje voor onze zoon van 10 mnd. en gevraagd als het niet lukt met ons contact op te nemen.
Bij aankomst op de hotelkamer stond er een extra bed voor een volwassene.
Na 3 keer vragen bij de receptie en ruim 2 uur wachten bleek dat ze alleen nog een kapot babybedje hadden. Zeer slechte communicatie.
Verder is het hotel ok. Prima ontbijt.

Would not recommend. The rooms and hotel service were extremely disappointing. Our room was full of insects, cockroaches, and bedbugs. We had booked a triple room, but when we informed the hotel manager about the issue, she was very unkind and unprofessional. She offered us another room that only had one queen bed and a sofa bed, which did not match our original booking. We therefore requested a refund, which the hotel refused. We checked out immediately. To our surprise, other guests had reported the same problems in their reviews. Never book a stay at the Mercure Hotel Düsseldorf!

Zufahrt zum Hotel sehr verschmutzt durch Abfälle. Beim check-in erhöhter Betrag und erst durch Nachfrage Info über 100€ Kaution.
Zimmer erste Etage: Vorhänge hingen zum Teil aus der Schiene. Toilette innen stark verkalkt und braun. Im Kühlschrank 2 geschmolzene Eis am Stiel, sowie eine Flasche Zitronensaft. Safe ( mit Schlüssel) so klein, dass nur Geldbörsen und Handies passen.
Zimmerreinigung fand bis 17h nicht statt.

Fint hotel. Tæt på motorvej, virkelig lækker morgenmad! Besøgte det i forbindelse med tur hjem fra Frankrig, så der skulle bare overnattes.

Poolen lugtede dog virkelig meget af kloak, og der var ingen dør til dame omklædning, så man kunne se lige ud til badet fra poolen af.. ikke så smart, medmindre man skal gå med badetøj fra hotelværelset af.

Hervorragendes Hotel etwas außerhalb von Düsseldorf, an der Schnittstelle eines Gewerbegebietes und eine Wohngebietes gelegen. Mit ÖPNV etwas schwieriger erreichbar, aber ausgezeichnet an die Autobahn angebunden. Sehr aufmerksames personal, ausgezeichnetes Essen und Frühstück
