Solid business hotel with good service

Very solid business hotel with clean, bright rooms and modern ambience. Great breakfast service, good parking garage, friendly reception and restaurant staff make for a pleasant stay.

Rooms have all the necessary furnishings and ameneties for business travelers, but some features could be improved (i.e. more modern TV, better lighting for work desk, etc.). The rooms are also very quiet. The only real drawback is the so-called air conditioning system - which really is just a fan blowing warm or cold air into the room. For normal weather, this is perfectly fine - but for hot and humid summers a \"real\" AC unit would be great to enjoy a good night's sleep.

The F&B service in the restaurant and from room service are very good - and the restaurant terrace overlooking parts of the city gardens is beautiful in warm weather.

The hotel is often used for corporate events and meetings, and thus, can be a bit busy sometimes. However, the premises are spacious, bright and well maintained. Thus, it's always an enjoyable atmosphere in the public areas.

A real plus is the close location to Duesseldorf and the short driving distance to Cologne. However, the hotel is best used for travellers with cars ony opinion.

Prices are very reasonable for a four star hotel, and I can personally recommend this Dorint hotel full heatedly.

No WIFi!

Room so so!
I had a problem with my data plan from USA so i rushed very fast to the hotel to have the WiFi but they said they have a technical issue with internet and they will contact their technicians to resolve it. Result: I had big difficulties to contact my people here after arrival until leaving because the hotel had no WiFi during all my stay from my check in until check out!!
Parking: Parking fees isn’t included in the price and it’s expensive for a hotel gust even if it for 24 hours!
Room: Size or furniture are very normal. I found it also a little bit expensive compared to other hotel in same categories. There were some issues in the room but they fixed it fast.
Breakfast: 18 Euro! Breakfast ok but there is nothing special. I think 18 Euro is also a little bit higher price for the breakfast.
Facilities: there is no facilities like gym, sauna or swimming pool or biz center. Nothing!!
The location: It’s better to go to Düsseldorf. There is nothing around the place!

Greta Hotel but beware of dogs being allowed

This hotel is a good hotel. Based near Neuss Centre so a walk into town is possible. Next to the tram stop which takes you to Dusseldorf centre and near enough to the business offices to allow an early morning walk to work. Juts be advised that the hotel allows Dogs to stay. The week I stayed a couple had two large dogs with them and when left in their room on their barked incessantly. Not very nice if you were having a late sleep in.

Clean, spacious room and the hotel is in a quiet area in Neuss. Tram/bus stop is across the road with good connections to Düsseldorf proper. Only problem is no food joints close by but plenty of places in Neuss Markt about 1 km away.

super friendly team at the front office and very helpful.. thanks Markus ..The was quite an inconsistency in the housekeeping service each day which was a shame .. We also had some problems getting in and out of the underground parking the barrier wouldnt always open.. However the team was great and that made the difference for our stay.

The staff are very friendly and the hotel's location is ideal for walking into Neuss, with bus & tram stops just outside the hotel grounds. However, during my family's 5-night stay, we did not have the 20 Euro breakfast ... far too expensive … instead we ventured into Neuss and paid no more than 9 Euros each! I would also mention that the indoor bar never seemed to be open, and to top it off, whilst waiting for our taxi to the airport, we thought we'd sit outside in the Bier Garten (as it was gloriously warm), but that was also closed, so we resorted to buying 3 bottled drinks from reception … not quite the same! My final rant is that the toilet in my room (no. 321), was not working for the first 2 days of my stay … fortunately my daughter was in the room next door, so we had to use hers. We did complain to reception on the first day and they sent 'maintenance' up to repair the constant trickling and non-flushing, but alas it was not fixed and remained faulty into our 2nd day. Complained again and said this is not good enough - how can we have a room with no toilet facilities! The maintenance guy went up to repair again and the job was satisfactory - not perfect by any means. My daughter asked for a discount/compensation for this, but we were told to take it up with Expedia as we had paid upfront and did not book direct with the hotel. Reception gave me the manager's email address, so that will be my next job! Anyway, rant over!

First of all we arrived at the hotel very tired and worn out after a long coach journey and looked forward to having a good night sleep. At the lobby we checked in but the reception staff which was only one man told us there was only one double bed, we went to have a look at our room and one of the two cards to open the hotel room door didn't even work and there was only one double bed. We were outraged since we were two adults and one 12 year old child and how would they think that one child and two adults should be able to sleep in a double bed. The man also said the hotel was fully booked and that there was no other rooms so we had to squeeze in together in the double bed and we got very little sleep. The sink was also broken because the pipes were blocked so water was filling up in the sink and not going through the hole. The next morning we had breakfast which was okay but it would of been better if there was more food options. We were out in Dusseldorf most of the day because it was our only full day there and when we came back we told reception which was two woman now what we had been through last night and they immediately moved us to a new room which also only had a double bed but they brought in a single bed as well for my son to sleep in, but the shower pipes were blocked this time and water was filling up in the shower. That night we were finally able to have a good nights sleep and the next morning we had breakfast and left. It gaveus a bad impression of Germany

The staff were amazing. The room aircondition did not work well, so I had to open the windows. The bed covers were shorter than the bed and extremely thick for the warm room, and they had no lighter covers. If it weren’t for the friendly staff, It would have been a terrible experience. But they were trying to help as much as possible

I'd recommend this hotel. Perfect for a few days away and handily placed for Dusseldorf - public transport regular, cheap & efficient. Staff in the hotel absolutely superb. Breakfast very good & plentiful. Also ate in the beer garden which is also excellent. Requested 3 single beds on day of departure & hotel were very accomodating.

I booked late for a big congress at the Messe Dusseldorf and this was as close as I could get; not the hotel's fault. It's worth noting, though, that the hotel is a €45 taxi ride from the Messe, and taxis aren't plentiful for the return. By public transport it took an hour.

On the positive side the hotel was clean and efficient and (partly because of its remoteness) very quiet. The Bistro restaurant was very good and good value, and service excellent. The free WiFi was very fast, the only annoyance being that you could only have one thing logged on at a time, so if you're checking your phone you can't use the laptop or iPad. A pet peeve, though - hair and body soap dispensed from one pot screwed to the wall reminds me of pretty low motels I've stayed in, and was not in keeping with the rest of the place. A room safe would have been nice, too. Hence the average rating.

Reception on arrival unwelcoming, key wouldn't work, replacement didn't work, of the further replacement only one worked, gave up. Bathroom in need of steam clean, the room had a slightly unpleasant smell. We stayed here about five years ago, when it was an Accor hotel, it was exemplary then, not so now.
We had dinner on one night which was adequate but limited choice and rather expensive.

A very pleasant setting in a lush green area with a delightful park/garden area with a stream and walkways/cycle area. Staff really efficient and helpful, spoke English. I am a regular international traveller and have dealt with many cultural differences, but |I have never dealt with the lack of customer service and basic hospitality like this
Especially noteworthy as I have never given a review such as this.

The hotel information guide and the room service menu listed the room service number as 950. When we dialled 950 we just got a funny beep beep sound.
I went to the Front Desk to let them know something was wrong with the telephone. The manager responded, \"You need to push the buttons\", and laughed & mocked me. I told him I had pushed the buttons. To his credit he sent a technician up a few minutes later.
The technician dialed the Front desk successfully and said, \"The phone works fine\" and hung up. That is when she said,\" Just dial 710\", and rolled her eyes. We showed the technician the room guide and menu and she was mortified about how we had been treated and apologized profusely.

Later we successfully dialled 710 for room service they forgot us. We called just minutes before the end of room service to cancel. They said they forgot our order and would send it up immediately. They brought it within minutes at no charge because of the problem. The hotel was not busy - no conventions or events going on. In fact, the hotel seemed like a ghost town, so there really was no reason to forget an order for a single salad.

There were some other annoyances.

When we checked in at around midnight there was a fairly wild party going on in the nightclub that's attached to the lobby. It's was incredibly loud and made it difficult to speak to anyone at reception. Saying that, I couldn't hear a thing in my room so it really wasn't an issue. The room itself was quite nice for the price although they were doing renovations on our floor and the hallway was littered with beds, TVs, cabinets, etc. It was quite a mess and I appeared to be in the only room on the floor that was finished. Also, the free wifi was painfully slow and kept disconnecting to the point where we gave up eventually. We couldn't get it to stay connected on either of the phones that we had and it crawled along on a laptop. Really annoying if you rely on it for work. Overall, a nice hotel that was slightly marred by a few annoyances

Handle came off from the restroom door. and the bathroom had a weird sound, i suspect from the plumbing. I booked a King sized bed and got two separated beds that I had to put together. Sleeping on these beds was very uncomfortable.

Mismanaged hotel below part for a Dorint -bad exp

The hotel staff are not prepared to handle any traffic. They have an attitude and do not want to resolve the issues the hotel has. Internet does not work in the rooms and you have to come to the lobby to use it. The spa was not open but the staff did not tell me. Instead they said it opened at 7am but never did since it was being remodeled. The phone in the room could not transfer a call from my wife after 8 attempts. I asked to speak with the manager who never showed up. The location is ok if you are going to a corporate office in the vicinity and very inconvenient if you need to go to Dusseldorf.
Very disappointing experience at an inflated price. You are better off staying in Cologne, farther away but with better train connections.

weekend in Germany

Went to Germany for a weekend with few friends.The staff was nice and helpfull all of them could speak english(the receptionists as we ate outside)we had to pay for parking which i disagree with.The rooms were nice but not what i expected as i booked a double room with queen bed for me and my wife and we recieved a room with 2 single beds that ee had to put together.Location is walking distance from Neuss town centre where we went for a nice night out.

Zimmer war geräumig. Frühstück Gute Auswahl, für jeden was dabei.
Nachts war es laut draußen (Schützengemeinschaft hatte eine Feier), konnte daher das Fenster nicht geöffnet lassen.
