Fantastic staff, service and breakfast. Dimitris could not do enough for us and even invited our friends to use the pool and sun beds, who were staying at a nearby hotel. He laid on an amazing BBQ with a massive selection of meats, salads and potatoes. I could not have picked a lovelier place to stay the week before my wedding. 10 out of 10!!

We loved our stay at Amara Suites! Demetrius and the rest of the staff went above and beyond for us and were so incredibly hospitable. The breakfasts were amazing, with so much food and delicious orange juice and yogurt. The pool and private pool in the room were also great, and our room was very spacious and comfortable. We wish we could have spent more time dining there for lunch and dinner, or taking excursions that they offered to arrange, but we had a packed schedule with the wedding we were attending. Highly recommend Amara to elevate your trip to Santorini!

I have NEVER stayed at a property that offered as many amenities with customer service way beyond I could ever imagine! Dimitri and ALL his staff could not have done more to make us feel special and welcomed. The delicious daily breakfast with unlimited options, all made fresh daily on property, the way they set our room up and cleaned it for us paying attention to the tiniest details, the cleanliness, the inviting atmosphere, I could go on and on and still leave something out! The cleanliness here is outstanding. I can't remember staying at a hotel that is kept to such a high level of cleanliness.
Note that the beach nearby isn't the best swimming or sunbathing beach (pebbles rather than sand), so bear that in mind if you want a sandy beach. Relaxing at the hotel is by the pool is the best option.
There are plentiful bars and restaurants near to the hotel, as well as food to order at the hotel itself.

Superb family run hotel with excellent pool area, breakfast and rooms. Set back 5 minutes from the beach and beachfront restaurants but very private and extremely comfortable. The host Dimitris will arrange transfers to and from the airport in addition to tours around the island and catamaran sunset trips. Overall it was a fantastic stay.

Outstanding hospitality in a stylish setting
From the moment we walked in , we were treated like family by Dimitris , the owner and his family. What can i say ! The place is fantastic. The rooms are modern and comfortable and have everything you need including a huge fridge . Ours had a private hot tub 👍. The pool is just the right temperature and has plenty of comfortable beds . There is an open bar by the pool which serves all day into the evening. Great cocktails and food . The food here is as good as any of the restaurants we ate in and all cooked fresh by the family .

My husband and I have just returned from this amazing family run hotel. From the moment we walked in we felt at home. Dimitri and his family were the most wonderful hosts, and although we have always said we would not return to the same place twice, we are already planning our next visit!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Amara Suites. From the minute we arrived the staff were so accommodating and helpful to make sure we had a relaxing and unforgettable experience. The staff is family and are always around near the lobby to connect you with transfers around the island, serve delicious dinner (the pita bread is the best we've ever had), the pool is relaxing, each room has a private jacuzzi on the balcony, and the area is in my opinion one of the best on the island. It is far away from the business of Oia and Fira, which are great areas to visit but the quietness of Kamara is much better in my opinion. Oh, and the beachfront area with restaurants as well as the Open Air Cinema are all nearby in walking distance. If anyone I knew was going to Santorini, I would not hesitate to have them stay here. Please give it a chance!

I have never met a more friendly owner anywhere. This place is gorgeous, both the room and the pool/lounge. There is always someone around to help, the pool bar has great hours, and all the staff were incredibly friendly. Our private jacuzzi and lounge chairs outside our room had a nice privacy hedge in place blocking anyone from the road looking in on you. The room was incredibly large, clean and amenities provided in the bathroom. We felt super comfortable relaxing and being ourselves in this atmosphere. You are also literally 2 blocks from the ocean, as well as a myriad of stores and restaurants. The owner is super flexible and easy to work with. It was truly a great time, and I would highly recommend staying here.

What a gem of a place. The hosts could not be more helpful and charming. The rooms are spacious and newly decorated with private hot tubs and large walk in showers, fast WiFi and Netflix.
The breakfast Is AMAZING - you won’t need lunch - personal service and so much attention to detail.
Poolside has high end loungers and is immaculate - lovely atmosphere and so relaxing.
Be aware early April is early season so many things are closed and the weather can be wet and cold or hot and sunny! Amazing time to come if you like the peace for some great hiking with no crowds.

This was our first time staying in a small family run hotel and we were very impressed. You aren’t a room number, Dimitrius and his family are very hard working, attentive and have great humour. Dimitrius can advise and make arrangements for vehicle hire, trips, taxi transfers, etc. the rooms, food, bar, pool area and private hot tubs are all brilliant. We had a great time and will return as soon as we can.

Where to start? WOW. It really is true what the other reviews say, a home from home. What a beautiful hotel in a great position for everything. Welcomed by Dimitri and his family, you instantly felt at home, and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. The position of the hotel is great - it’s close to Kamari beach and easy taxi rides to the other side of the island (which Dimitri sorts for you - taxi driver is brilliant as well!). A beautiful view of the mountains behind when sitting on the balcony or by the pool, and if you don’t fancy heading out to eat then, Dimitri’s wife is an excellent chef, and Georgios is awaiting to serve a great cocktail. Breakfast is laid on every morning, and housekeeping attends to your room everyday which is a great added bonus of fresh towels and clean sheets.
Our holiday has been made so special by the love and happiness they give and we are genuinely so sad to be leaving. We hope to return soon to share another Raki with Dimitri & his family. Thank you for having us, it’s been a pleasure. Yamas!

Beautiful property with unique 'cave' style rooms. The whole hotel is really pretty and pristine. We received the warmest welcome from Dimitris (the owner) when we arrived, followed by his daughter (on reception), son (in the restaurant and bar) and wife (chef). They all really welcomed us into their family and made us feel special. The breakfast spread was incredible and we looked forward to it everyday. The pool area was lovely with ample sunbeds throughout the day. The hotel was ideally located < 5 min walk to the beach and local restaurants. My Family and i had a fantastic 7 night stay at The Amara Suites Santorini. The Hotel is stunning and the owner Dimitris and his family were very welcoming and went out their way to ensure all our requirements were met during our stay from organising trips , taxis and dry cleaning a really excellent service. The rooms were beautifully decorated, immaculate and spacious with private little dip pools. The breakfast and meals prepared by Eleni and Bona were exceptional, fresh delicious Greece food at its best. I would also highly recommend the hotel's cocktails prepared by George in the lovely outside bar. This small family run boutique hotel really has it all and i would highly recommend a stay here. We will definitely be staying here again .

This is our second time to stay at Amara Suites and once again everything was absolutely wonderful, just like last time. This family run hotel is truly Greek and feels like home. Our suite was roomy and very comfortable. Bed was also really nice. We had a lovely patio with a private jacuzzi. Demitris and his family are so warm and always happy to take good care of you. Breakfast has been covered in previous reviews, but it’s truly something special and will leave you needing a little nap because there is just SO much good food. Definitely have whatever Dimitris wife Eleni is making for dinner (changes daily) at least 1 time, because you will not regret it. She really makes such delicious food. Her lamb dinner knocked my socks off. We didn’t even look at a menu…just smelled the yummy food she was cooking in the kitchen and asked for whatever she had available. Probably our favorite meal the whole time in Greece. George is also a treasure and is always available for anything you need. Great great people!! I could go on & on. We will be back again, of coarse. Yammas!!! 💖

We had a lovely 3 night stay here. The owner and his family were so lovely to us and made us feel so welcome. The pool area is the best we saw in the whole of Kamari, the whole hotel is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was huge and delicious.

My new wife and i stayed here for our honeymoon. Dimitris and his staff were exceptional. The cleanliness was to my, very particular wife's standards. Everything that we had to eat was delectable. The breakfast every morning was the food of the gods!! Fresh fruit, pastries, bacon & eggs, fresh squeezed orange juice, yogurt with honey & nuts...started the day the right way. Yuri and the girls tended to our every need and really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Thank you guys! We will be back to Santorini and you guys are a big part of the reason we will be back.

My girlfriend and I spent 10 beautiful days at Amara Suites Santorini. This is a very well cared for family run boutique hotel. The rooms are spacious and modern. Ours had a balcony with a Jacuzzi which we enjoyed thoroughly after an excursion or day swimming or at the beach.
