The location was absolutely perfect, but other than that, we were extremely disappointed with the apartment.

The bedroom was tiny, being only just big enough to fit the bed in, and no storage in the bedroom at all.

The entire apartment was cold, and had no thermostat or controls to enable us to turn up the heating,

The pictures on the Hotels.com website bore no resemblance to the actual apartment. Had they done so, I very much doubt we would have booked it.

The apartment is spacious, very clean and really convenient to all external amenities.

CONS
There isn’t a thermostat on either the wall nor the radiators so the heating had to be on all night which was stifling. I emailed the company for a solution but unfortunately they didn’t respond, we soon realised that the heating was being controlled into each apartment by an external thermostat which we didn’t have access to.

The bedding is of good quality but the sheet isn’t big enough and doesn’t fit the mattress properly causing it to crease thus making our sleep uncomfortable.

We paid extra for a sofa but the TV faces the bed so we couldn’t watch TV if sitting on the sofa, another TV opposite the sofa would be good.

Supplying a broom and mop is essential, the frying pan needs replacing and some microwave bowls are needed.

The above are easy fixes and if resolved we would have given it a 5* rating the heating was the biggest problem.

It didn't look like the picture, the tiny bedroom had an odour so bad that I couldn't sleep in it even with the window open and the fan on. I had to sleep on the couch which was very uncomfortable. I left after one sleepless night

Fantastic apartment

Recommended. The apartment we stayed in was different to the one booked which had a technical issue. Tallinn City Apartments communicated the situation with us perfectly and we were very happy and would recommend the agency.
Tallinn old town is compact but it was really nice for us to be near the centre and to avoid too many hills - a great place to visit and a great place to stay!

To my knowledge, I booked an apartment closer to the Town Hall which was indicated on my reservation email with the exact address then two days before our arrival I received a text with instructions for the key (didn’t noticed that the address was changed). We arrived on the address indicated on the reservation email & we can’t get in, called the management & she was apologetic that it was on a different building about two to three minutes depending on your health condition walking with your luggage on cobble stones…but the apartment was clean and spacious but you need to have enough strength to go up flight of stairs with your luggage. Overall it was good stay.

The property is perfectly located in the heart of the Old Town, with everything just a short walk away. I absolutely loved staying here. The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5-star rating is because there was no air conditioning. We visited during the summer, and while opening the windows at night was an option, it wasn’t ideal. There’s a bar and restaurant right across the street, and it stays busy late into the night, making it quite noisy. If the property had AC, we could have kept the windows closed and enjoyed a more restful night’s sleep.

This is a relatively roomy apartment considering it is smack in the middle of Tallinn’s old town. It is charming, with beam ceilings and serviceable kitchen, and old wood furniture. The only hard part is going downstairs from the loft at night!

I loved the location. Walk out the door and you’re in the heart of the Old Town. The flat was very adequately equipped. It was nice to have coffee and tea available. Noisy neighbours playing loud music would be my only complaint, but the owner quickly resolved it when I brought it to their attention.

Wonderful 5 day stay in Tallinn here, its location can’t be beat, right on the “main drag” and actually right across the street from the TI center. Clean and quiet despite that, except the first day there was a public movie showing down the street that I could hear but it didn’t bother my sleep. Appreciated the washer in the bathroom to do laundry! Check-in and checkout process was easy, WiFi was fast, I’d definitely stay here again…

Exactly what we were looking for.

This was exactly what we were looking for! Clean, private, perfectly located next to several sights and plenty of restaurants, and the tourist info center, which is right across the street, is the meeting point for several tours. Couldn't have been more convenient. The price was very reasonable, and the tea and electric kettle were lovely extra touches. We did have an issue with our breaker flipping and couldn't get in touch with anyone for a bit. We managed to locate someone with maintenance just by wandering through the building for a while, but it was stressful that we weren't able to reach anyone by phone or email - we had contact points for both but no one was responded. The check in process was very easy, and the luggage storage room is a big help if you arrive prior to check in.

Kofeman (breakfast) and Restoran Old Hansa (medieval tavern dinner) were both within easy walking distance and the food was excellent. Caffe Centralle had the friendliest staff and just across the street from the apartment.

Great attic loft (4th floor), lots of room to spread out. Bath and kitchen new and work great. Main area is rustic but has everything you need Host easy to communicate with for leaving luggage for the day (lockers on site). Location right off main square, quiet for us probably due to the time of year(Sept). Would recommend.

We really enjoyed staying in that cute apartment. I was a bit worried to find the entrance key since we didn't have data on our phone to connect to the app or online portal but we were still able to use manually entering the codes.

The only critique.. and it was strange to me... was that I couldn't find any power socket inside the bathroom to use the hair dryer, so I had to dry my hair outside of the bathroom!!!

Lovely apartment in a great location, a stones throw from the Christmas market. It's a 5 minute walk to the edge of the old town to get buses/trams. A couple of small supermarkets are nearby.

The apartment had everything we needed. It was fine for 2 of us. It was very warm and we had no way of controlling the heating so we opened the inner windows at night to cool the bedroom, which worked fine.

Note there are no lifts in the building. The apartment we were in was on the 2nd floor. There is a luggage room on the ground floor with large lockers (big enough for a large suitcase) so you can stow your luggage if you arrive before your check in time.

Property has no extra heating and during fall when central heating is not turned on yet, the place is COLD! Had to contact the property to request heater. Had to do it twice since one wasn’t enough..
This situation kinda killed the vibe of this place being cozy… first night was super cold… few more days were oookk ish till I got another heater for the last day of my stay… oh well…

3 nights in Tallinn

Tallinn City Apartments Town Hall Square provided a comfortable stay for my 3 nights in Tallinn. The only thing I needed that wasn’t provided was a drying rack for my clothes. However, I contacted the property and they offered to provide one. My clothes were already drying on the chairs but I suggested they go ahead and include one for the apartment. So there should be one there now. Having the washing machine to do my laundry for my 36 day trip was very convenient. The space was clean and comfortable, otherwise.

Fabulous apartment in a superb location. The owners let us check in early and the system for getting your key , though slightly daunting for non tech people, worked brilliantly.

Excellent WiFi & cooking facilities. We used the foldout bed in the front room and it is really comfortable. The only thing that could be found as not up to much was the bath. But the shower is good and there was loads of hot water.

However, we had extremely loud neighbors who had a long conversation outside our door. This is a great location for a young crowd, but a restful visit will not be in the cards.

We stayed in apartment 1, the one with the sauna. The location of the apartments is fantastic, right in the heart if the Old Town, just a 60 second walk to the town square. All round fantastic location for exploring. I was just a little disappointed with the overall condition of the apartment, mainly the kitchen and bathroom. Both require modernisation, the enamel in the kitchen sink is chipped and there is a rather groovy bathroom suite. However, the sauna was a very nice touch. Will we be back? We’d probably look at other apartments in the area which are more modern but overall very happy with our stay for the price we paid.

Our apartment was comfortable and had all the amenities we required for our stay in Tallinn but this is not the only reason you should choose this accomodation....
Location, location, location!!! We felt like we were living in what must be the best location in Old Town Tallinn. With easy access from the street we could look out of our window at the Visitor Centre to our left and more importantly at the Christmas Markets to our right. It took mere seconds to walk from the front door to the markets and every other tourist destination was an easy walk from our temporary Tallinn home. We would surely put this accomodation at the top of our list for future visits to Tallinn.

The apartment was everything we hoped for. We'll equipped and asy to get to from the airport on tram line 4. Shopping centre and supermarkets within 5 minutes walk and lots of places to eat including an amazing vegan restaurant. It is also rght next to the tourist information centre, sandwiched between 2 souvenir shops. Can not recommend highly enough. We will definitely stay here again.

Right in the city centre close to restaurants and everything you would want to visit. Lovely old apartment block all updated beautifully.
Beware - you cannot adjust the heating syztem which comes on and turns off based purely on the outside temperature. Sometimes it's like a sauna!

The location was perfect with all the main tourist spots all around 10-15 min walk max.

At the weekend the street is a little lively but we didn’t mind. Because is no near to where we wanted to go, we often stop off at the apartment to put things down or to rest before continuing the day.

Kitchen / pantry is well equipped, good size fridge with small freezer, coffee machine and toaster.

I would come back again and would recommend friends and family

We loved the location and the staff who welcomed us (she was fantastic), and the apartment was adequate. The reason we aren't giving it a higher comfort rating was we felt it was a bit tired and missing some amenities (bedside tables, sheer curtains for a bit more privacy, corkscrew, etc.). But, it was really the fact we couldn't adjust the heat at all. So, we had to keep the windows open, which let in all the noise from the Town Square. However, it was a great location, great being able to prepare some meals, as we noted above, the woman who checked us in couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

Excellent location in the heart of the old town, steps away from the town square. The lounge and bedroom were beautifully decorated, kitchen was compact but fine for breakfasts/snacks, bathroom let the apartment down in that it would benefit from upgrading. the hands basin was very small and, with the shelf below the mirror, made washing anything other than hands awkward. However, this is a minor complaint and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
Office staff were very helpful and looked after our cases until check and kindly contacted me to say apartment was ready early.
Tallinn has a beautiful old town with lots of character, many restaurants, interesting museums and friendly people. the tram no4 from the airport is efficient and regular - €2 paid to driver. (we alighted at Viru)

Beautiful old furnishings and a beautiful loft style bed, absolutely exceeded expectations. I also forgot a battery pack at hotel and someone called me and offered to ship it to me, luckily we were close by and went back to pick it up. Can’t wait to go back and stay here again.

Everything about this property was perfect in our opinion for what we wanted. All our emails were answered promptly with excellent advice. When we arrived after a hectic day of travel entry was smooth and easy as per the emails. The location was awesome right in the centre of everything with restaurants and shopping and of course the sights. The room was quiet and very spacious with all the amenities you could need and all worked perfectly.Overall one of our best travel stays.

Comfortable place in the middle of Old Town

Perfectly located within the Old Town. The main square and Tourist Information Centre are just around the block.
Instructions for getting the key (they will email it to you) are on point as there is no reception at the building.
Rooms 3 and 4 are actually 1 unit redesigned as 2. Located on the second floor. No elevators, so those with big luggages will have to carry it up several flights of stairs.
Room is very comfortable. Double windows to filter outside noise. Kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stove, fridge, and coffee machine. Bathroom is also equipped with a washing machine (but no detergent). Sink in the bathroom is extremely small and can be difficult to use at first.
The only issue was the heat. No air-conditioning or fan. Wasn't until the next day when we bumped into some friendly and nice ladies that work there and asked for a fan, did we get a one to use. However, there is a number you can call to ask for things.
Highly recommend this place!

The apartments are right in the heart of the old town. Everything is on the doorstep. The overall style of the apartment is lovely and has all the amenities you could need apart from an iron. We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment, and even said we could picture staying there for a long time. The staff at the main desk were so welcoming also.

Perfectly situated apartment– needs 2 more things

The apartment is in a great location and in good condition. We were in #7 which was on top floor. A couple of minor things would help a lot. The first is that staying in August it was hot. They could do with buying a fan for the apartment– it would make all the difference. Keeping the windows open isn't really viable as it's right above the main square so it gets loud. Plus, drawing the curtains means the air doesn't get through.

The other thing that's annoying is the fact they only give you one set of keys. Having two keys would be very easy in theory. Lastly, the apartment has a washing machine, which is great, but there are no instructions in English (we didn't know if it also worked as a dryer). This is a good place to stay for a visit to Tallinn. With a couple of small inexpensive additions, it would be great.

We stayed here for a week it was based in the old town.Centrally located across from information office.The apartment was great and had great facilities including a sauna.The furniture was not modern but it was very comfortable.The staff were very helpful and nothing was too much for them.I would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Tallinn.We had a very enjoyable holiday.

A few big flaws during the midnight sun

This room could be good, but does have quite a few flaws that you should understand. These may be fixed easily by the time you read this, and I hope that they are. But they made our stay unbearable.

First of all, there was a seagull nesting in the courtyard. That sounds adorable, until every 20 minutes, 24 hours a day, a baby seagull squawks all throughout the night. It was the most frustrating thing I have ever witnessed in a hotel, while trying to sleep through jet-lag of a US origin flight.

Of course, what is worse is that there is no room darkening in the room, and it never gets pitch black outside in the summer. So it was always light in the room, and I can't sleep in the light.

Finally, the shower was broken. There was a shower head, but no mount for it above the head. So I had to shower with the cord wrapped around my shoulders to stay warm at any point.

Like I said, these are all fixable. But they made my two-night stay miserable.

Definitely a place I would return to

I thought everything was fantastic;
The service from reception, the location was superb and the accommodation much nicer in my opinion than staying in a hotel.
It was a really enjoyable stay!

お部屋は広いお部屋を選んだため、快適でした。ただ、バスルームにドライヤーのコンセントがなくて、困りました。
その旨をメールで伝えましたが、回答はなく、リビングルームで髪を乾かす、整えるのは甚だ不便を感じました。
ベッドはキングサイズではないので2人だと少し窮屈です。
立地は観光に便利で、周りにレストランやカフェもたくさんあり、最高の場所だと感じました。

Sinänsä OK, mutta hellejakson takia tila oli hyvin lämmin. Lattiatuuletin oli hyvä varuste, mutta sen jalka oli rikki ja vaati hieman jotain, mihin nojata. Sijainti oli lähes täydellinen ja ruokapaikat helppo löytää. Tallinna pn kohteena erittäin hyvä ja tästä majapaikasta on helppo aina lähteä etsimään jotain uutta.

Great apartment in central Tallinn

We had a very nice stay in Tallinn. There were some issues with the booking, but even if we arrived after midnight, the owner fixed us a replacement apartment. The apartments are very nice, spaceous and very central. Short walking distance to pretty much everything.

We did not notice lots of noise in the street even though we had an apartment facing the street below. It seems to be a quiet neighbourhood.

Extremely good value for money! I will for sure consider this place next time. Go for it!

Super central, nice rooms. We had two and they were similar but also quite different. Top floors more quiet, but no lift. Mine had a huge bathroom with a tub and a separate shower. Small kitchen area in bedroom. My friends has a tiny bathroom but a separate kitchen. Mine had a second door that blocked of some orig the sounds from hallway, my friends did not have this second door.
Main reason for low score: the linen was too small for bed and my feet were touching dirty disgusting duvet and mattress 😅
