This hotel does not live up to a five star standard. The foyer and overall ambience are great but a lot of improvements are needed. The rooms seems great surface level but staying in them you realise they are very dated. Lots of scuffs on the furniture, bathtub and water damage and marks. Only one usb port near the television in a slow and ancient device that includes an iPod player. Can't stream on the television. Spa is very different from advertised. You cannot see the city views from the swimming pool windows like at The Shard as there are grates blocking it. Spa was a bit dirty and grotty and very overcrowded. Just a small sauna and steam room next to pool. Women's changing rooms was flooded with inch deep water when I raised concerns on hygiene and safety they weren't bothered. Requested for my room to be cleaned twice and out for many hours and was never cleaned. Breakfast was fantastic first day and then following days seemed very understaffed and unorganised the staff seemed under a lot of pressure and they were very nice and so I felt sorry for them. Location is great. Horisont restaurant had no atmosphere so we went to the bar adjacent for food and champagne and it was very nice. I think they just need to update the rooms, make the spa better and hire more staff then it would be very excellent indeed.

Housekeeping and upkeep of the property was second to none. Remarkable resturant in homely settings on the 30th floor, and Spa access at a reasonable price also. Second visit to this Swissôtel, and cannot recommend highly enough.

Staff deserve praise for their professionalism and welcoming attitude to their guests.

I normally don’t write reviews about hotels I say at, but this time I have to review the Swiss in Tallinn because the unexpected mixed experience. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and tidy, but…cold. The room temperature was absolutely reminding of a cheap hostel, and there was nothing to be done about it, I turned the heat up to the maximum but it stayed the same. Secondly, the “spirit” or “feel” of a high class five star hotel was missing. I have been warned several times at the check in that “breakfast is not included”, which I acknowledged and confirmed I will pay for. In fact, the front desk blocked a deposit on my credit card for incidentals. Next morning, I had to spend 5 minutes at the door to the breakfast room, because the host there wouldn’t let me in until he made sure I actually PAID 28 Euro, in front of him. I told him I will charge it to my room but he was adamant “cash or card”. That was absolutely embarrassing and unexpected from a 5 star hotel. The problem was that the next morning the situation repeated itself (with a different host) , but I made a point of not paying for it and insisting to have that charged to my room. The process took so long that a 10-15 guests queue was formed. Incredibly embarrassing. Same kind of issues were also present at the spa: the host agreed to supply me with a robe, a towel and slippers only after a very insistent request on my end - I was told that I should come down already prepared and with the

We spent 4 nights here and were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a harbour view room. It was very comfortable and clean. We had a lovely big bed, nice bathroom. Everything was good.

Uncomfortable, Terrible A/C, Definitely Not 5-Star

We were excited for our stay, but this was easily the most disappointing hotel of our entire trip,and we expected it to be the best.

The room temperature never dropped below 24.5°C, even overnight. That’s well above the healthy sleep range (15.5–19.5°C) and made for a hot, restless, and uncomfortable couple of nights. Climate control at this level should be a given, not an afterthought. When I asked about it, the staff offered excuses, but the reality is that every other hotel and Airbnb we stayed at across the Baltics was significantly more comfortable. Our next stop was a three-star hotel, and it was far better.

Housekeeping also failed to meet expectations. We were out for the entire day, and we did not leave the “do not disturb” sign on the door. Yet no one cleaned our room, and someone only knocked around 16:30 after we had already returned. That is simply not acceptable at any level, let alone five-star.

The only bright spot was Mark, who kindly brought us a mattress pad and extra pillows when we asked about the pillow menu. The mattress was very firm, and the pad made a noticeable difference. Mark was friendly and helpful—but I also noticed the mattress pad was badly stained when helping him set it up. Still, he was the only person who showed any effort to make our stay more comfortable.

Also worth noting: if you value bathroom privacy, this hotel is not for you. The toilet and shower area is separated by frosted glass, not a real wall, meaning you can see the pers

The rooms are tired and the led lighting is worn out. Dents and scratches from heavy use. Wouldn’t give it a 9 practical. I would say a solid average.
The spa steam sauna was not working and the pool was cloudy. Didn’t seem it had been kept properly. Entered and left the spa. It was very disappointing and the reason I booked here.

Discovered there’s no shower gel when taking a shower, air con noisy so has to be off. You have to pay €15 a day to use the spa. Don’t bother it’s small, when I went it was full of rowdy kids ruining any ambience. Staff at rooftop bar unfriendly

Brilliant stay in Tallinn

Great stay. Hotel is well located, short walk to Old Town, to the beaches, ferry terminal. Airport is a short bus ride away with the bus stop right outside the hotel.

Room brilliant, huge comfy bed, huge bathroom with separate bath and shower. We had a view of the harbour.


Breakfast is really good, lots of choices.

Bar on 30th floor is worth a visit, great views .

Spa is a lovely place to relax.
