We stayed for two nights at the Palace Hotel Tallinn and had a wonderful experience. The room was stylish, quiet, and very comfortable, and the staff made us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. We chose not to include breakfast, as we preferred exploring cafés and restaurants in the Old Town—just a short walk from the hotel—and it worked perfectly for us. The location is ideal for discovering the city, with everything within easy reach. Overall, a great stay and a hotel we’d happily return to.

We recently stayed for 4 nights over New Year. The location was perfect, right across from Freedom Square to see in the New Year and a few minutes walk to the old town.
The breakfast and spa was good, the staff were excellent.
One star less as we had originally booked an attic room, the first night we were all kept awake (2 rooms) by the roof banging. It was caused by wind but it was so loud. We spoke to reception about it the next morning and we did get moved but would not recommend a roof room.
Also the rooms were really hot. We had to get fans to try and keep the room comfortable but they would get to 22 degrees over night- it was -10 outside. The fan made it ok but no way to turn heating off to keep the room a better temperature.

This property is just on the edge of the old town the location couldn't be better.
The room was big and spacious and well adorned with the essentials to insure a more than comfortable stay and the room was spotlessly clean.
The front desk staff is top notch from check-in to check out.
The breakfest is quality dont pass it up.

Hotel was ideally situated to visit the old town being just off Freedom Square. A taxi from airport cost 15 Euros and took no more than 10 mins to hotel.
Staff were friendly and very professional. Room (510) was tidy and well equipped. Reason for not giving excellent score was the noise level from the street, particularly from trams and other traffic, especially at night. Hotel has small swimming pool, sauna and steam room which is open from 10.00 in the morning to 10.00 at night. Overall a very good hotel which i would definitely recommend, but dont get a room opposite the Kawa Plaza.

The hotel was located very close to one of the gates to Old Town Tallin. It was right across the street from a beautiful war museum and a path way to a portion of the walled city.

It was a spotless, oversized room with exquisite bed! We loved the sauna downstairs and enjoyed the buffet breakfast!

What a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location. Speedily checked in by the charming Ellina we were soon in our lovely, spacious room on the 6th floor. Everything about the Hotel Palace was impressive, it’s not difficult to see why it’s a serial award winner. It looks immaculate throughout and we just felt so very well taken care of. Breakfast was of excellent quality and wide ranging choice. I’d also recommend the Cafe where the pastries both look and taste, fabulous. The Hotel Palace is a superb place to stay and would recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Estonia. Quick final mention for Irena our housekeeper who kept our room looking super tidy and clean 🙂

Love this place, have stayed there couple of times. Got upgraded to a superior corner room, which was super roomie and had an amazing view to the freedom square. This hotel has an amazing buffet breakfast, so definitely recommend adding the breakfast buffet to the room. Also it has a great pool and sauna. Super clean and nice place, definitely recommend. We celebrated our anniversary in this fantastic hotel. Staff were amazing.... early check in, complimentary room upgrade so we had a view of Freedom Square and a bottle of champagne on arrival.
Staff were friendly and attentive.....
Breakfast was fantastic. Great selection of hot and cold food. We also used the pool, sauna and steam room. Perfect way to relax after a day exploring the old town.

Wonderful hotel, with great staff and facilities. Wish I was able to stay longer. Little touches made the stay extra special. I was checked into the hotel within 25 minutes of my flight landing, and sat in the sauna ten minutes later. Will stay again when I am in Tallin.

The location is amazing, close to the bus stop from the airport and to the ferry terminal. There's a supermarket three minutes away, to buy water and snacks. The Old Town is just across the road, so it's easy to explore the area. The room was nice and cozy, with a big comfy bed and a very nice shower. The staff was kind and helpful. I would stay here again, it was very good.

The Old Town with numerous restaurants and sightseeing opportunities is about a 5 minute walk.

The staff were very polite and friendly but not necessarily as efficient as they could be. We had opted for the green housekeeping option which meant we should have got clean towels and the bins emptied every day. They just missed our room altogether and had to be asked for towels later in the evening. They were provided almost instantly but it's a scheme that needs a bit more fine-tuning.

The water pressure was excellent for the shower. The bathroom needed a bit more thought. The basin looked good but was fairly impractical. There was no basin plug which made laundry difficult. It also lacked the standard toiletries. Just a fairly harsh combined shampoo and shower gel substance. No conditioner or body lotion. None of the other nice bits like vanity sets or sewing kits that other hotels in this price range tend to provide.
Overall it was a nice enough stay and the location means you can forgive the minor negatives.

Great location right across the street from Freedom Square which is the entry into the Old Town. Also, the number 2 bus from Terminal A stops a block away. My girlfriend and I came over from Helsinki on Viking Line for one night. We loved the hotel. The breakfast was just as good as Finland. Tallinn exceeded our expectations. We only spent one night, we could have spent two. Really good hotel!!

Best hotel of the 4 countries trip

Best hotel we stayed on this 10 days 4 countries trip. The service was top notch from the receptionist (Eric) as he was extremely helpful, house keeping (for bringing us kids size bathropes after seeing we have small kids and extra water bottles), the barista for making us tea on demand. Breakfast was awesome. Location was great as its across the steeet from freedom square. Will definitely stay there again

Excellent Hotel

We arrived way before check in and planned to use the luggage storage, our room was ready so instead they checked us in hours before formal check in. Our departure was early evening so we checked out, the desk held our luggage but still gave us access to the pool and saunas. We had use of the hotel amenities well after checking out. We won’t stay any place else now in Tallinn due to quality, comfort, location, and friendly staff. Highly recommend. Very happy travelers.

An excellent location for exploring the Old Town, all the sights being within a comfortable walking distance. Particularly grateful for this as we visited the city during a cold snap, temperature barely rising above -10 degrees! The hotels location, whilst being extremely convenient for sightseeing, does sit on a very busy road and so one needs to be mindful of this when choosing a room. We chose to pay extra for a room overlooking the old town but this meant we were directly on the roadside thus somewhat troubled by traffic. Ok, the hotel provides earplugs but this didn’t really diminish the noise. If a quiet room really is important to you, then it may well be best to choose a room facing the inner courtyard. No view, but considerably quieter. Our room was a decent size, bright with a triple window outlook, well furnished with everything we needed for a few days stay. The bed was super comfy, dressed with quality linen and came with a heavenly seven pillow menu. M I but I’d have preferred a seperate shower to a shower over bath, particularly as water couldn’t drain quickly enough when taking a shower. It’s neither pleasant nor safe standing ankle deep in used water.

Very happy with my stay here. The staff were all helpful, personable, professional. I particularly appreciated the late check-out - with a fee, true, but a very reasonable fee, I thought.

I was allocated an upgraded room for my 3-night stay, which, again, I appreciated. Very clean, very quiet, very comfortable.

Breakfast buffet was of good quality and varied.

I shall be happy to return, next time I visit Tallinn.
