Clean hotel and excellent staff. A really good buffet breakfast too.
Later free checkout was allowed and that was much appreciated.
The hotel is in a central location, and perfect for exploring the Old Town.
It is in a lovely old building, but this should be taken in consideration as complete step free access isn’t possible from all rooms.
Overall a delightful experience, and I would definitely stay here again.

Was assigned a totally unsatsfactory and completely unsafe room. Narrow and extremely steep stairs, suitable only for mountain goats, led to the sleeping area. I didnot try the climb. When I returned to Reception to ask for a room re-assignment, the staff member was extremely reluctant to do so. I am in my mid 70s so a bit of consideration for my limitations would have been appreciated. Another room was finally assigned. It was quite draughty and cool. Two duvets needed. Not great for MINUS temperatures!!!

Elena on front desk was most helpful throughout the five day stay, providing advice on local tourist points of interest.
The room was clean and serviced most days, although , additional tea and coffee sachets were not easy to track down.
Breakfast was good and a hot and cold choice each day!
Located in the old city so not difficult to get around.
Bus journey to and from the airport approximately 20 mins and close to airport using Balti Jamm bus stop 👍

First of all, locationwise it is a good choice but do not expect a hospitality or warm room. There is an electric heater but it is not enough. Also the receptionist guy was extremely impolite when asking questions. He literally had no idea that we were checked in and our visit got assigned to a room, which he thought that it was empty. Somebody tried to open our room door in the morning and our baby woke up immediately. Unfortunately the worst experience through this website so far.

Otherwise breakfast was nice and staff at restaurant were kind.

Our recent stay was pleasant overall. The room was acceptable, though we did find one of the provided cups to be less than perfectly clean. However, the breakfast experience was truly outstanding and a definite highlight of our visit. We appreciated the variety and quality of the offerings. We would recommend this place, keeping in mind the minor detail about the cup.

Hotel’s location was very good regarding when you want to visit into Old Town of Tallinn. Location is also very peaceful in general and there isn’t any problems with sounds outside. Hotel was inside very nice-looking and clean. Breakfast was also good. Nothing groundbreaking but very fulfilling and delicious as you should expect.

But room in general was little too small for two people (Even when room was for two person). There wasn’t enough rooms for your luggages and layout in general should have been better.

Overall, there’s nothing major to ruin the experience expect for room. Hotel gets its job done so that’s more than enough.

Location was amazing! Easy enough to walk into old town but also close to the train station and more modern restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful giving tips to my NYE in Tallinn. Parking was easy and happy that it was included. I didn’t get to try the breakfast so can’t comment on that.
The room that I got was small but worked for me - a solo traveller. I think if you had another person it would be cramped but doable if you two get along. The shower/toilet was also small but worked. The size didn’t bother me since the building is original and probably a few hundred years old!

The room was on the 5th floor. Be aware the elevators only go to the third floor. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The bed was plenty comfortable. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. The location is maybe 4 blocks to the Christmas market, a perfect location.

Really nice, quirky hotel. I had a room split over two levels (bedroom/sitting room upstairs and bathroom downstairs). Loads of period features and exposed wood, etc. The staff I spoke to were great, and the breakfast was fantastic, free and very plentiful.

I did book a small room - and it was small. But it had a fridge and kettle.
Clean bathroom and shower, Lovely bed with immaculate linen.
Very quiet room also.

Great base for your tour of the old town.
Nice clean breakfast area.

Quirky little place - full of character - the room did take a little finding - but I would most certainly stay here again - but I would get a bigger room.

Three different female receptionists over the course of a three-night stay - each one a delight to engage with.

The Meriton Old Garden was located very centrally and easy to get to all the sights. Rooms were clean and functional, if a little basic. Bathrooms were small and showers not well contained so water spread outside the shower area. The card needed to power the room emitted a high pitched buzzing noise which was irritating at night.
Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was simple and could do with greater variety of fruit.
All in all though, very adequate and value for money hotel.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience in this hotel. The (ground floor) room felt outdated for the price that we had paid (and compared with other hotels we stayed in the Baltics).

The shower was in the middle of the bathroom meaning the floor of the whole bathroom was wet after use. Also found hair in the shower when we arrived.

We asked to change rooms as I believe the other rooms were a bit better but unfortunately all rooms were taken. So maybe we were unlucky. Breakfast was fine (not particularly delicious but it was fine).

In short, this wasn’t great but we were maybe unlucky in the room we got and the price we paid. Had it been 20% cheaper we would have been a bit more accepting that it felt outdated.

Tallinn; a quaint and cute medieval town.

The Meriton Hotel is not located in the centre of the old town which was good because it wasn’t loud or too busy. The sights were easy to get to both inside and outside the wall. The room we had was very small, but we were only there for a night, so it sufficed. The girl at the front desk welcomed us warmly and was very informative and kind. The breakfast was very good in my opinion, but of course it depends on what you like to eat. It offered a variety of choices and was fresh!

The hotel is in the old town and very walkable. My room was the size of a closet. It only had a bunk bed in it. There was not any room for anything else. There was a small TV the size of a small computer monitor on the wall that could only be seen by the top bunk. The bathroom was equally as small and smelled like sewer. I had to keep the door closed but the smell would knock you over when you opened the door. The price was very high for what you got.

Very important..No lift for going to 4th and 5th floor. You have climb 30-40 steps with your luggage. This should be highlighted by property and also by sites like Expedia. Not good for senior citizens like us. Hotel should provide help in getting the luggage up and down.
Room is spacious but lacks proper ventilation. So it was hot when we checked in. Breakfast was good. Lots of eating option around the hotel.
All must see attractions are within walking distance. Place around looks like you are transported back to 18th century.

A very nice hotel in a great location. The only minus is that the elevator only goes to the third floor. So if your room is in the upper floors you must climp some steps with your luggage. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was also nice enough.

The hotel is in a good position in the Old Town. It has a nice bar and restaurant. The breakfast provided was ok with fruit, fruit juices , cold meats and cheeses, hot items and rolls and breads.

But the room itself was a real disappointment. We had booked a standard double (room 205). However it was extremely small. There was only a twin bed - pushed up against one wall- making getting out of the bed extremely difficult as it was only accessible from the side or bottom. I only just about managed it- people less mobile would struggle. There was also a small desk, single wardrobe and a chair. Hardly any other floor space. The bathroom was even smaller. It consisted of a toilet, a small sink and a very small shower complete with shower curtain. A squeegee was there for you to mop the floor.

No air-conditioning in the room. It wasn't hot, in fact was cold for summer. The room was on ground floor directly next to a restaurant so it can be noisy. But the friendly, helpful hardworking staff made up for the bit of inconvenience. I didn't need the room to be made up, asked for fresh towels and it arrived within 5 mins. Breakfast room staff was always clearing the dishes and topping up food. I was in a big hotel chain in another country before Estonia that I shall not name and their staff is not at this high level of service.

If you want a quiet hotel yet within walking distance of all the main sites then this is great. Lots of breakfast options, comfy beds and roomier than most European hotel rooms. We were tired on our first night and wanted to eat somewhere close and went to Kleo a few doors down. Reasonably priced and no fuss.

We had a very nice stay for a weekend in Tallinn. The hotel room was a little bit worn and smallish but it wasn't too bad since we only stayed for two nights. The view from the window was really nice since we love the old town and its style. The beds were comfy and there was a small fridge in the room which was very convenient for us. Can honestly recommend this hotel to everyone.

On the paper the hotel is nice. The surrounding, Tallinn old town, is beautiful, even quiet at this spot. The room we got was on the second floor (there were no notice on that). The staircase was inside the room and it took the biggest part of the space. The room was cramped. No bedside tables, no shelfs for goods or toiletry in the room or in bathroom (just one wardrobe). Breakfast just ok, not good,not bad. Locatation good. Athmosphere good. You can hear the noise of the ventilation fans from the surrounding, inside the room.
