We booked this hotel for my wife’s parents to celebrate a birthday, but it turned out to be a complete letdown. The room was in poor condition and did not match the photos at all. It was also noticeably dirty, with dust everywhere.

Even basic amenities were missing, no slippers were provided, and they were asked to buy low-quality ones for €2, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this level.

We had also informed the hotel in advance about the birthday, yet there was zero acknowledgment, not even a simple “happy birthday” at reception.

They have stayed at this hotel several times before, but this was by far the worst experience.

Really great hotel and an excellent location in Tallinn to explore the city.

The staff were really friendly and helpful when we needed them and helped with recommending places to eat when we landed late in the evening. The breakfast was great, it was served in the hotel next door (connected by an internal corridor so you didn't have to go outside in the freeing temperatures) as the hotel's restaurant was closed temporarily. Food was great and there was a good selection of regional and international dishes at breakfast.

We used the spa and it was a good experience, it was busy as we visited on a Saturday afternoon but overall you could use mostly everything there except for the Jacuzzis which were very full!

Overall, I would recommend this hotel, really nice rooms and great staff and service!

Some aspects of breakfast need improving, the presentation of hot food especially the eggs could be a lot better and the hard boiled eggs actually hot.
Needs a kettle in the room rather than the silly coffee machine. Pods are not eco friendly.
Bigger slipper for the room as no good for size 12 feet or bigger. Larger dressing gown options for the spa.
Beds are a bit hard even with the mattress topper. Different pillow options as one pillow was not enough and two pillows to high.
Softer bigger towels.
Air conditioning difficult to operate with no instructions.
Spa towels should be free for hotel staying guests.
The Location was very good, near old town and transport links easy once you got use to it.

The hotel is new and very nice. We had the cheapest room due to a short stay but it was very comfortable and spacious. We used the spa too and while crowded it was lovely. The lady at the bar made some excellent cocktails. The parking around the hotel is expensive and not always available. But cheaper than the hotel's carpark. The receptionists are not friendly and do not always act professional. And the hotel is awful in respinding. When we had an issue before our stay, we tried to contact them directly as well as via expedia agents to no avail. And absolutely no willingness to help.

WOW! Even better than we expected - primarily with the spa areas being totally included - for some reason I didn't pick up on the 2 saunas and 2 steam rooms being included. So fun! Room was nice and very comfortable and breakfast was good/pleasant. Hallways were kind of dim but otherwise no complaints! Would definitely stay again. Great location and value.

Nice hotel, great spa, shame about lack of sleep

The bed and cushions were identical to hotel next door. Sadly the rooms were too hot even with the Aircon and the room was located next to a busy road where people were loud until the early hours. A fantastic spa and incredible service from the workers who did everything to make our stay great.

Great location and good Hotel but the cost savings are showing. The Hotel location is really good for walkable tour of Tallinn. Rooma are fairly sized, but my issue is the apparent cost savings that are showing in the customer experience. Spa access is included, but you news use same towel as in your hotel room, which usually leaves you with wet towel in your room. The toilet flush has been adjusted to Flow that forces you to flush multiple times. Same with toilet paper and napkins: you get the bare minimum, so don’t miss the cleaning or you are left chasing staff and asking for more towels and paper.

I loved the pool, sauna and jacuzzis. Every thing was kept clean and someone came by and dried the wet floors often.
The room was clean, heated bathrooms floors and a clothes line to hang the wet clothes, loved that the refrigerator was fully stocked and could buy any drinks if I needed to.

Super friendly and helpful staff. The hotel had all the basic amenities that you would need. The rooms and hallways were also super clean and the location of the hotel was very nice as it was right in the heart of the city.

Superb!

Excellent hotel next to the Old City. Nice rooms and good breakfast buffet. Spa in hotel has multiple saunas, jacuzzis and cool pool (although unfortunately not for laps). Spa treatments available. I had an excellent massage.

Nicely located close to the old town but surrounded by the newer area with shops and restaurants. Spa was excellent with multiple jacuzzi's and saunas. The breakfast selection was great. The one downside was the AC in the room was very poor.

There is a wonderful spa area with a warm pool, four jacuzzis, a sauna and nice locker rooms. No extra charge and the room rates were very reasonable. Nice rooms too. Perfect location next to Old Town. Would highly recommend this property.

Very comfortable large room. Extremely clean, however carpets are worn and the smell of cigarettes in the hallway off putting. Within walking distance of the old town, transport, and restaurants.

Great place to stay with a fantastic spa and locat

Love it here, 3rd stay, usually each for 1-2 weeks. This year there were a few issues, door not locking, having to pay for pool slippers, it feels as though cost management has taken away some of the nice softer edges. Still a great spa and pool.

Highly enjoyable, definitely recommend

Loved it, great location close to old town but also close to modern shopping too. Easy to get to from the airport. The spa facilities were fantastic too, enjoyed the pool, spa and sauna every day. My one complaint was no moisturiser in the rooms as my skin got dry from so much time in the water!

Location couldn’t be better with plenty of restaurants, bars and shops around.
About 700m from both the magnificent Old Town & the Ferry Port.
No need to look elsewhere- The Metropole Spa is perfect.

Clean, bright and modern hotel in a nice district of Tallinn. Very handy for the tram/bus stops for the airport, and only 10-15min walk to the old town. Very peaceful rooms as area outside of room is all pedestrianised. Brilliant leisure facilities, the steam/saunas were ideal after a day of exploring the city. Very good breakfast on offer: great range.

Great location and amenities

Metrolpol Spa Hotel offered an amazing stay. As a first-timer in Tallinn, I found it to be in the perfect location. Close to modern shops & cafes, and just steps to the old town and all of the history that Tallinn has to offer.

Wifi was reliable, which was great for conducting business from the hotel.

The amenities were great, minibar prices were on par with convenience stores nearby, so no need to step out if you want to grab a quick drink.

The highlight was definitely the spa/pool facilities with 4 different sauna options, several hot tubs, a nice pool, and bar inside. Very relaxing!

I would definitely stay at Metropol again!

Excellent location between ferry harbor and Old Town (both easy walking distance). Nice safe block with shopping, restaurants and bars. Rooms are clean and functional, furniture in good condition (stayed in \"comfort\" room). There is a spa (small pool, two jacuzzies, three different sauna) on the second floor, included in price (massage extra charge). For the spa, bathrobe is in room, but you must buy slippers from reception (EUR2 a pair) which is kinda ridiculous, but no big deal. Reception staff are helpful but somewhat overworked (only one or two personnel dealing with many guests checking in/out). You can leave your baggage at reception before check in or after check out.

Nice breakfast, great location

We had reserved and been confirmed a room with two separate beds, but none were available when checking in. There were several stains on the table in the room, it had clearly not been cleaned before we arrived. Breakfast was great, though, and location is excellent. The spa area was also nice with four different saunas.

Our room was in the second floor and it was quite noisy, because of the bar downstairs. You could not sleep without earplugs. This floor is not for people that needs to get good sleep. The breakfast-room furnitures are quite big and heavy and not practical for this king of space. And the sofas are not good for eating.

Nice hotel in a great location

The hotel is in a great location, 5-10mins walk from the Old Town, and with plenty of nice bars, restaurants and shopping on your doorstep in Rotterman. The hotel is clean and comfortable, without being luxurious in any way. Room was clean, modern and very quiet. The spa is a highlight, and a very welcome thing to go back to at the end of the day… being mid-December, it was really cold so a jacuzzi and a sauna is ideal after a day out walking around the town. The service is okay, not a warm/friendly welcome at all or going out of their way to help you, however that is just the culture.
