An absolute gem! This boutique hotel sits on the foundation of John the Baptist church from 1279. You can see the original beems of the church in the breakfast room. The rooms are warm and large. The staff is very accommodating and kind. The breakfast is wonderful. The hotel is on the castle side, with easy walking everywhere. It is a quieter side with much history. A true gem!

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel - it was very clean, the staff was an absolute delight to interact with and answer our questions, and the breakfast was fantastic (many savoury and sweet options to choose from). The location was walkable to all major attractions in the area. Parking was paid, but it was underground and on-site which is not common in old town areas such as this one. Would stay again when in Prague in the future!

This is a real find. It is situated in the quiet embassy area of the city yet very close to the castle, the interesting parts of Mala Strana, and good restaurants. An excellent breakfast in the attic of the building that was part of a twelfth century church. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I was given a free bottle of Prosecco because it was my birthday!

Dishonest hotel. I booked the Grand Apartment about 4 months in advance. When we arrived they said 'something happened' and they couldnt give me the room. They gave me instead a jr suite and the room next door. While the size was similar, it was not what i wanted nor what i reserved. What happened is they gave the apartment i reserved to another family. I still do not know why they did not tell me in advance so I could have booked an apartment in a different hotel.

One of the amazing hotel I have been stay! Staff, especially Pavel, Helena, Roman are a wonderful people, they treat you like a family! We were leaving at 2:30 am to airport, they arranged a taxi for us and also gave us a package with treats and water, what a wonderful customer service, I can’t say enough about these people! The hotel itself is amazing, big rooms, huge bathroom, comfortable beds, mini bar in the room. Breakfast is free and absolutely delicious, huge variety of hot and cold dishes; fruits and amazing baking goods, they even offer a tiramisu one day:) I will definitely be back, because now I have a home away from home, appreciate you guys, Pavel, Helena, Roman you are the Best

As an example, difficult to get ice (not uncommon in Prague), no room service, simple toiletries. The ambience is historic Prague and a pleasant change from big hotel chain properties.

Excellent location not too far from Prague Castle. Property is close to several embassies making the area very safe (there are armed guards everywhere!). several restaurants nearby. As soon as I walked in the door, I could tell that this hotel was not as nice as the photos online. The lobby was cluttered with tourist brochures and beauty products to buy. Even the photos of the garden must have been taken with a special lens to make it look larger than it actually was. The staff and breakfast were alright, but the facility itself needs some updating. For example, they only had traditional keys with a heavy weight attached to unlock your room. The photos were definitely deceiving. We were disappointed.

Wonderful gem near the castle
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They fixed us an incredible goody bag with sandwiches, fruit, and treats when they found out we would have to leave too early for breakfast. Its location is good to visit the castle, less than 10 min. To the Charles Bridge, around 15 min. Their breakfast was good but not as much I expected. Bring a big suitcase from tram is not easy since there is uphill to the hotel. You can take a bus #192 to the up to German Embassy and then only 3 min to the hotel. But the bus operates by 7:50 pm. The room is clean and the staffs are very kind. Was a great stay.

Lovely small hotel set in the quiet area of Prague. Room was spacious and clean and had all the amenities you require including fridge, kettle and bathrobes/slippers. Breakfast was in a beautiful room in the roof of the hotel with exposed beams. The food was fresh with lots of choice. Please be aware that the hotel is approx 20 minute walk from the Old Town Square and it is slightly uphill on the way back with cobbled streets so you need comfy shoes. However the main sights get very busy with tourists so it was lovely to return to a quiet peaceful hotel. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. Overall a great hotel which we would highly recommend.

Our 2nd time at Appia, and it was fantastic. Location, excellent. Just below Prague Castle, in a quiet, Embassy lined area. Approximately 5 minute walk to bus and tram. Spacious, comfortable rooms. My daughter (15) and I had a Jr. Suite which was 3 separate rooms, including lounge, and could have slept 5 comfortably (I believe). Breakfast was terrific, with great Czech selection and choices. Wonderful ambiance, very helpful and knowledgeable staff, whether you need dining recommendations, sightseeing options or public travels hints. Everything is clean and luxurious in an old Prague style. If you want modern, shiny, go elsewhere. Only minor \"inconvenience\" is that the hot water takes a while to get to the shower. To be expected in such an old building and honestly, is quaint. But I've stayed in many \"upscale\" hotels that have worse plumbing and they have no excuse. We love this place, and will come back a 3rd time if we're back!

Absolutely lovely hotel on a quiet side street in the Mala Strana. We booked the top floor, two bedroom apartment for our stay and it was amazing. Both bedrooms have attached bathrooms. The larger bedroom has a tub and handheld shower attachment which was perfect for washing and then soaking after a long day of walking up and down the cobblestoned hills. The daily breakfast included in our stay was extensive and delicious. All staff members we came in contact with spoke English which was extremely helpful since my Czech is remedial. At least I could amuse everyone with my attempts :). Housekeeping was impeccable and thorough. This property is amazing and you should absolutely stay here!!

Fabulous small hotel with roims and apartments. The lovely garden was great to sit in on a sunny afternoon or evening although as we had our patio we used this. The staff are friendly and helpful and breakfast in the old beamed room is agreat way to start your day. the hotel are happy for you comsume your own food and drink in the garden and provided us with ice and bottle owner as required. It is well located in one of the prettiest areas of Prahue, Mala Strana in a quiet corner amongst all the embassies. The only small suggestion I would make is too have some English speaking tv channels or at least BBC World News.

The property has a lot of characters and was once a chapel about 800 years ago. Breakfast was very good with very friendly and helpful serving staff during weekdays. Weekend staff were somewhat abrasive and curt. Front desk staff was professional and fluent in English, offering a lot of helpful tips about where to eat and how to get around steep hills as we were traveling with an elderly finding it challenging to walk uphill to the palace. Restaurant next door served very good food with limited selections. The waiter was humorous and had a lot of characters. All in all, a good and convenient place to stay.

The Appia is located in a quiet area just below Prague Castle. It was constructed within the ruins of a medieval church ... you can still see remnants of some of the church walls within the building. Our room was large, clean and overlooked the garden. The staff is very accommodating and the breakfast is plentiful.

The Appia is a lovely hotel situated in a quiet spot within easy walking distance to Prague Castle. Our room was spacious and comfortable...we even had our own sunken terrace in the garden. A hidden jewel
This is a jewel of a hotel tucked in the diplomatic enclave surrounded by cobblestone streets and away from the hustle bustle. It is a short 10 minute walk to the Charles Bridge, but a world away in terms of serenity and peace. We booked it as it offered underground parking (a rare thing in a big city) and we really lucked out. Rooms were big, superbly appointed and immaculate. Staff friendly and helpful. Could have stayed there for a month if we had the time!

Ideal location, not far from the castle, but also close to the old town. The staff were all incredibly helpful. The room was large, well appointed and the hotel was in a peaceful location away from the busy centre. The breakfast was excellent with a range of food. Overall, highly recommended!

We chose this hotel based on reviews. We did not regret it. It came with breakfast. Breakfast was lovely and as it was buffet we only had one more meal a day.
The hotel is walking distance to all tourists attraction but on a safe road close to all embassies. The staff were professional throughout. Our room was cleaned everyday and the desk staff were very knowledgeable.
