Lovely property in a great location, the rooms are well equipped, clean, with a good housekeeping team. All the staff were very attentive. Breakfast was lovely, Agnus, Karin & the team always on hand to offer good suggestions for the days activities. lovely to be able to walk on the sea front after breakfast to gauge the days weather. Cannes is lovely, worth exploring.
The train station is a ten minute walk away and the train service is very good both to the airport, Monaco, Nice etc. We will definitely be going back.

Aside from one rude attendant. The rest of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. Exterior entry’s and lobby very clean. The exterior of the building may require a facelift. It’s showing its age. Location was good. The beach restaurant doesn’t look like the photographs and charge for day beds even if you are staying at the hotel.

A must see town

We had a very nice, clean, spacious room with an XL super comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel has its own beach / restaurant right on the other side of the boulevard. The service that staff provided was superb from day one until we got our Uber to go to the airport. Another plus, the Voss bottles, juices and couple of snacks in the room bar were complimentary. We’d definitely stay here again.

A disheartening stay at the Mondrian Cannes

Customer service at the hotel was notably lacking. Upon our arrival, a woman at the reception desk did not acknowledge our presence. We later discovered she wasn’t a receptionist, but her lack of a simple greeting set a poor tone for our stay. Throughout our time there, we were struck by the general rudeness of the staff; not once did anyone say hello as we entered or exited the hotel.

Our room, for which we paid 800 euros per night, boasted a view of the Croisette, which was undoubtedly beautiful. However, the room had significant drawbacks. The bathroom was equipped only with a bathtub and a handheld showerhead. This setup required us to hold the showerhead with one hand while soaping with the other, and washing hair necessitated sitting in the tub—a highly uncomfortable and potentially dangerous arrangement. This \"feature\" was never disclosed to us at the time of booking, which we found both unprofessional and disappointing. Additionally, the magnified mirror in the bathroom was broken, further contributing to our dissatisfaction.

When seeking dining recommendations from the concierge, we were directed to an extremely touristy restaurant where the food was so subpar that we couldn't even finish our appetizers. This indicated either a lack of knowledge or disregard for guests.
The lack of basic courtesy from the staff and the subpar room amenities significantly marred our experience. Given the high price point we expected a more accommodating stay.

The Mondrian, had us booked for a room with a sofa bed. And when we arrived they put us in smaller room. When I showed our receipt and the fact I paid around 200 more a night for a room that fit us all they said the hotel was full and couldn’t not honor the room I had paid for and offered nothing to remedy the problem. The rooms don’t have showers - just a bathtub and a shower handle. That didn’t work.

It was a distasteful stay. The staff was horrible. All in all it was a terrible experience - it was way better managed as the Grand hotel. We switched hotels to the JW marriot next door and it was 10000000 times better experience.

Superb garden and it is difficult to find the parking from the first shot.
I found it strange not to give the reward points for Accor loyalty membership if booked via Expedia - this practice is not applicable to B

If they give you room 113 run!

If they give you room 113 run! The room even though it has a beautiful view from the terrace it has many defects.
First the shower is handheld as there is no mount or bracket for the shower head, so you’re forced to hold the shower head in your hand during the entire shower experience. Great engineering!!!
After that you will then experience that there is no hot water in the shower.
So once you’re had this great shower you will then be ready for a long and deep sleep. This is however not possible since the Aircon sounds like there is an old tractor inside the unit..
Last once you wake up and go down to their private beach you’ll notice that they have build a huge trench effectively blocking the view to the sea, besides that what they claim is included in the hotel amenities is in fact not included and you’ll be charged over 100 euros for a lounger on the beach. I had notified the staff in the reception countless times for these issues, but they could not do anything, the maintenance guy never showed up either even though he was called upon many times they claim.
I was supposed to sleep there 3 nights, but after 2 I had to change hotel. A sweet lady in the reception however compensated me the fee for the lounge bed on the beach to try to amend the situation.

At breakfast, they gave me pastries that were previously picked on by 5 pigeons. I asked for new ones as these pastries were o. Another table and the pigeons were eating them. The waiter picked them up from the floor and then , after acting like he was going to throw them out, he put them on my table. After I let the front desk know, they said sorry and that it. Unbelievable that a 5 star hotel would do that. I always stay at the Marinez except this time

Good balance work+holiday in the French Riviera

We had to spend a few days working and everything was perfect on that regard (good internet speed, good connectivity). Also, the rooms were larger than average for other hotels within the same range and that's and exactly what we were looking for :). Service was also nice and welcoming.
The parking is paid per-night and it was an additional 25 EUR/night. I did not pay attention to this information beforehand.

The location on the beach is nice. That’s where it stops. The bathroom was minuscule. The location is attached to condos that look like they are subsidized housing. You walk on your balcony and all you see are people in their underpants hanging on their balcony. There is no spa or pool. The parking is a joke and like finding a needle in a haystack. There are no bellman waiting to greet you to direct you to the lobby. We circled 4 times before finding a proper entrance. The room was dirty and had long hair everywhere.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the heart of Cannes. We were in Cannes during the film festival and this hotel is clearly a hub for all that is going on. Great atmosphere with a beautiful room overlooking the sea. Staff were friendly and courteous. Breakfast on the room balcony is a must if you have the sea view! We will definitely be back to Le Grand Hotel!

The position is great plus the staff are superb but the bathroom in our room was very dated and the breakfast was poor at best . We spent 108 Euro’s on three breakfasts and was not worth the money , no choice of how you want your eggs , just scrambled that had been left out for a while , the bacon was so hard it actually snaps , the cold food was not set out on chillers so the salami and ham was warm and sweaty, nothing cocked fresh to order so we had our breakfasts in the Newyork restaurant just up the road and it was great ! . We had a good stay but could be improved by having a pool and being updated, The Grand is more of a four star than a five to be fair but the staff were excellent ! .

Nice hotel, staff were all really nice and very helpful. The location is fantastic and Breakfast on the garden patio is absolutely wonderful, but quite expensive if not included in your room rate.

Negatives, room was a little old fashioned (but a very good size), separate toilet was so small it was very difficult to get in and close the door! Bathroom was old and in bad condition, mouldy tiling, old shower above the the bath not nice to use and ineffective shower screen meant bathroom floor flooded every use.

No free water supplied and very expensive mini bar.

No tea or coffee facilities in any of the rooms and no room service before 7am.

Amazing location

We booked a top floor room with a big balcony. The room was small and in need of renovation. The shower had no water pressure and it took long time to get hot water. Despite of all of this I gave it 4 stars because of the amazing location and the fantastic view. The beach club was great.

Hotel bar and terraced restaurant spill onto lovely green lawn and gardens down to the private hotel beach club on the sparkling Riviera
Always a great experience in the bar and restaurants
Breakfast buffet was extensive, sumptuous, fresh and very high quality
Room was exceptionally clean with beautiful Bvlgari products replaced daily as needed
Concierge and front desk very helpful with tours and transport
Generous accommodating staff

Our main frustration came at check in. We arrived at the hotel at 12 noon. To be told our room would be ready around 2pm only. Check in stayed from 3 so that was fine. I only got frustrated at 2.30 when other guests with same room were checking ina nd getting a room when I was travelling with a pregnant wife and young son. We only got our room at 4 pm and the only reason given was “we are doing our best”. There were other smaller things but this set the tone for our whole trip. They really didn’t care it appeared.

So personally I won’t book this hotel again.

Nice Hotel Close to the Beach

Le Grand Hotel is perfectly located to the shopping, Beach, restaurants and Night life. Their private beach front property has nice amenities and very good food/drinks. They do charge hotel guests to sit on the beach.
The hotel food is very pricey because they have Michelin Star Rating so we never ate in the restaurants on the property -

Hotel staff helpful and friendly. Some aspects of the hotel a little old especially the bathroom but the TV and room entertainment up to date. Bar closes early so limited dining options. Bottom line is that this hotel was a good price and would stay again based on that fact. Beach restaurant was very poor based on others we have experienced and wouldn’t go back. The general consensus 4/5 is about right

Location was excellent right on la Croisette. The concierge and front desk could of been a bit more helpful and friendly. The hotel provides you with a local cell phone to use for directions, calls etc. Great idea if it actually worked. I checked in on a Friday and had to keep reminding front desk everyday that it was not fixed. Finally, on my last day it was fixed. I was there 6 days. The room is really spacious but the bathroom needs updating.

Absolutely no faults with the hotel. Ticked all the boxes with a big, comfortable room with all the right equipment.

We didn't really do any research before we set off and were surprised to discover that the hote's restaurant has a Michelin Star so we treated ourselves to the degustation menu and it was very good, as you'd expect.
