Fabulous property in an excellent location - not a big chain and the staff were very welcoming, particularly the lady who was serving on the bar.
Right on the main shopping street - close to good selection of restaurants and close to the beaches easily walkable from train station. Some noise at night but as you’re in the centre of town it’s to be expected. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

The room bathroom was beautiful and one of the best showers. The only thing was, the AC shuts off every 20 minutes in the room. So we had a hot sleep.

The hotel location could not be better, right on the Main Street where shops and restaurants are and with only two min walk to the beach.
The staff were very friendly, specially the night time receptionists he was so helpful and attentive. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of things.
I highly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at Hotel Le Canberra in Cannes was great!
Staff was great, rooms were in good shape, breakfast was good especially you can boil your own eggs which was a delight over having croissants everyday, pool was warm (kids loved it), and having a gym and a sauna in the hotel was also a plus.

My biggest complaint was the bed mattress! It was on the more stiff side. It could defiantly be improved for the future.

The staff were really lovely, always pleasant, very helpful and happy to accommodate requests. Central location great for eating out, shopping, and a short walk to bus and train station. We used the pool both days and it was always clean, although small, it’s deep at one end making it a great pool to cool off in and sun beds around to get drinks from the bar. Would definitely recommend and come back to if we’re in Cannes again, thank you we had a great stay.

Stunning, You must stay

Simply perfection!!!

The hotel is stunning building.

Fantastic location, 5 min walk to train station, 2 min to the beach front.

The hotel from the exterior is an old building however inside it's modern, clean stunning.

The room is great size, everything you will need is there.

The pool isn't huge but just right to cool off.

The staff throughout great.

I will 100% be coming back here.

Ok but nothing magical.

It was ok, room was nice, but as a gold exclusive member my ‘vip’ booking said I was eligible for a free early check in and late check out as my flights in and out were very early and late, but the reception staff where adamant I could not check in a minute earlier than 3pm and wanted to charge me €100 for a 1 hour late check out.
Not much atmosphere in the hotel.

Upon checking in for our 2 day stay, there was glitter on the floor of our room, lots of it. It was clear they did not vacuum the room from the prior guest. Secondly, I went to shower and there was water in the tub, again from the previous guest - quite gross! And lastly, housekeeping did not refresh our towels even though it was clear as day I used them and put them on the floor to be replaced. Good location and walkable to everything but lousy service. Waste of $500/night, stay else where!

The property is beautiful in a great location. The breakfast, heated pool, gardens, room, and gym were lovely — including a shower facility on the final day. We were able to check-in upon arrival around 1:00 pm. Our only complaint is the short hours for the pool — especially not opening until 10:00 am. We had a balcony room over the pool and never heard any noise from the children playing. The room was quiet regardless of the activity below. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very well appointed hotel right in the heart of the action. The hotel is very pleasant with a great outdoor pool area where you can hang out and get drinks. Hotel is on Rue Antibe which is *the* place for shopping. 3 Blocks from the beach and you can walk to the medieval town and castle area in 15 minutes. Only small negative was that when the front desk booked my taxi for going to Nice airport, I was told that the taxi fare would be 40-50 Euro but it was close to 90 Euro because they booked a 7 person van for a single person.

The staff at this hotel are exceptional! Everything was perfect and they really did go above and beyond to make our stay magical.

The hotel itself is immaculately presented and the size of the room was very large.

The housekeeping staff are fantastic and should be praised for their attention to detail.

The one thing I didn't like was when I had to check out and go home. If I could of stayed forever I would of done!

Great Location.

Looks nice enough, good wifi and well appointed. Great location. However, hardly any staff, one security guard and one receptionist to do everything pretty much all week. Bar closed for 5 or the 6 nights of the stay. Breakfast is pretty basic and staff whilst friendly not great at service. Rooms small. That said I would stay again.

Architectural design has flaws, toilet is tiny and washbasin are maybe 10m away. The room door hits the toilet door. No ceiling lighting, not sufficient lighting. Old squeeky wooden floor, covered with carpet. Internet was not working. Need to stop using bar soaps, makes the wrong choice of black sink almost white. Staff could have been friendlier, but were ok. It is in a nice area, but I'd expect more from a 4 star hotel.

Rooms are fairly updated. The pool has short hours, opens 10 and closes at 18:30. Centrally located. Breakfast is (overpriced) at 25€ and the service is below average. Avoid hotel parking. Only 3 places with stairs to get to the reception. 29€ per day. Perfect for a city stay in Cannes.

The hotel was great for what we needed it for, and the location couldn't have been better. Right in the centre of everything. The pictures of the hotel if I'm honest aren't accurate, the pool and outside section is a lot smaller and there are only a couple of sunbeds to sit on which are on grass and not right next to the pool like the pictures show. The room was extremely clean but very dark and small with not a great view.

Location is great close to everything. Very nice boutique hotel. Most of the staff are lovely. There was no one to help with luggage when I arrived. The lighting in the room and the bathroom could be better. The rooms could be updated slightly. The addition of a few drawers as well would be great. And they need to add small hand towels in the bathroom.

This hotel is perfectly located. 1.5 blocks off the beach and In the heart of the shopping district of Cannes. The room ( we had family Suite) was a good size. I would’ve given “excellent” review but the toilet was in a different room then the sink which was odd and really inconvenient as you had to walk thru one room to get to the other. Hard w teens. We were street side and it wasn’t noisy. WiFi in room was bleak but worked well in lobby. The breakfast was included and was really lovely. Would definitely reccomend this place again.

This hotel is very well located 2 blocks from the main beach it is all new it is big and roomie for Europe standards, it has a great small outside pool the service it is excellent ok unless you complain then they are not so nice, we had our 2 girls sleeping in the sofa bed and the mattress was very thin and bumpy we ask for an extra mattress or a top for the bed and they shout saying the don’t have and just hang up on us but all the little linens are nice and very clean. The Internet it is really high speed.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. I was locked out of my room for 3 hours from 2am-5am in the morning. Sitting in the lobby. All of my stuff, medications, and passport were locked in the room. Worst hotel staff. I had to call the US Embassy and French Police department

Our first time at the Hotel Canberra and we just loved it. The staff and device was excellent and our room and air conditioning was Brillant and because it was our joint birthdays we got a beautiful balcony over looking the gorgeous court yard with pool.

Wonderful boutique hotel, set a block back from the beach. Great location for shopping and close to many good restaurants. Lovely sunny pool area which is small however there is a lot of seating. Breakfast here is great and good value. Rooms are well sized and very comfortable . The rooms on the pool side are a smaller than the street frontage rooms (which are quite big) but then they have the advantage of the pool and some with a balcony. This hotel is great if you are looking for a place that is not huge like the beach front hotels, if you are looking for a personal, chic, comfortable and friendly hotel that is quiet.

Fabulous boutique with great location

Stayed for 3 nights. It's our 2nd stay at Le Canberra. Room was ready early. Spacious family room. Staff superb in dealing with any queries, couldn't be more helpful and efficient. Superb location for the shops and restaurants on Rue d'Antibes and for the beach. Excellent facilities for late check-out including a spotless shower area and secure room for baggage. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough and looking forward to going there again.

Lovely staff and perfect location!

We stayed for three nights in September with our 10.5 month old baby. This was a really nice hotel the staff were very friendly. Location was perfect for us close to everywhere we wanted to go. Pool was small but clean and peaceful and the general atmosphere at the pool side was relaxing. Only a few bad points I would raise is that breakfast is extremely expensive for some scrambled egg bacon and croissants, we decided to go out for breakfast as it was so much cheaper and a lot more options outside. Another point is that they don’t serve much food throughout the day they only 5 club sandwiches on the menu nothing else to eat.

I didn’t find the room to be clean at all. There was a smell and generally could tell it wasn’t cleaned properly. Finally the bed - worst I’ve slept on! Found it difficult to fall asleep because it was hurting my back. Both my husband and I woke up each morning with a backache!!

We wanted to use the public beach so we packed some towels in our suitcase. The public beach is a short walk away and really nice we loved it.

The hotel is extremely well located, has a gentle atmosphere, very nice oasis of green within the town center and is quiet.
It has graceful old world architecture, with an updated interior, and is a perfect intimate size to offer gentility with all the services of a large hotel.

Nice hotel and in a great central location

This hotel is great. It's location is convenient to the beach, shopping and lots of great cafe's. The staff were friendly and very helpful. It also has a pool that was great for cooling down and relaxing after a day's activities. Their lounge chairs were a bit dated and broken. Also, at 7pm they removed all the pool chair cushions which was a bit disappointing. Overall, it was a great place to stay.

Lovely hotel in great location

I stayed here as a group of four women for three nights in June 2018. It’s a smart boutique style hotel in a great location - just 5 minutes walk from the sea front, and also right by shops including supermarkets & a pharmacy.
We stayed in a junior suite (double bed & sofa bed in one room) and actually it was fine - with enough wardrobe & bathroom space for us all! Room was clean and comfortable, and staff prompt bringing extra sheets and the iron when requested.
All the staff were very pleasant and helpful.
The hotel garden/restaurant area was a lovely sanctuary we enjoyed both in the morning and evening (inc small pool). There were always loungers available. We stayed room only so can’t comment on breakfast, though the coffee was nice enough - just be prepared to pay 5€ for one cup.
However - during our stay there was some work being done to install glazing on the veranda area that overlooks the gardens - very noisy. These things do need doing - but guests should’ve been informed ahead of time, or even some signs up on the day to explain (it took all day) as like others, we had planned a day by the pool. We spoke to the front desk and asked for free sunbeds at their affiliate beach club (normally 12€ each). They resisted at first but did agree and called on our behalf to reserve them. This was great - but again, a little thought to offer guests this alternative in the first place.
We all would return to this hotel as a couple or family. We had a great stay!
