This hotel is very overpriced, by far not a 5 star!
It’s old and the rooms need to be renovated. The carpet smells terrible like water damage. They use cheap shampoo and body wash products. Did go to the store to buy my own once because my skin got itchy.I would give it 3 stars not 5 for sure! If you are looking for luxury stay avoid this property by any means.

Good but complicated stay

The hotel is good , but crazy, elevators in our side (2) city view, only one was working most of the time and usually used by service people,lot to wait.
The night of fireworks nobody told us that traffic will be closed until 12:30 am, we couldn’t reach the hotel as we had valet parking, my wife walked two blocks to get the valet at the back of the building after waiting more than one hour…..

Not a five-star hotel

Check in took over an hour and a half. We got the room category, were not offered any comp or apology until we complained about it during check-out. Maids opened door without knocking, folded up used towels and stacked them under the sink so we accidentally used each others wet/dirty towels.

Overall good stay. Our room smelled like smoke despite being a nonsmoking room. The bathroom was nice and spacious. The rooms need an update - the carpet in the entrance was stained and just looked somewhat outdated. However, the room was very spacious. Housekeeping was excellent; they even lined up all my shoes neatly. The bed was very large and comfortable. Excellent location, in the middle of it all and the beach promenade right across the street. The beach club was closed due to a black out Cannes film festival period? However we were there May 28 and the festival was already finished. We had to go to the public beach; at least the hotel was able to provide us with towels.

I spent 4 nights at this beautiful property and I enjoyed every minute of it. This hotel is so luxurious you will not be disappointed. All the staff were so friendly and very accommodating. The area is perfect, tons of dining options and luxury stores all walking distance. I definitely recommend staying here, 10/10 experience and I can’t wait to return.

We really liked it here but when we checkin we gave out credit card for charges to the room and we had parking and ate at their restaurant, which was delicious but when we woke up the next morning we had a note under our door asking us to come to the front desk. They asked us to pay for the city taxes, parking and restaurant charges. I said I left my credit card. Oh we can only do 300 $ a day so you must pay and start back at zero. I said that is nuts, why take my card then. I felt like they didn’t trust us and made me fell uneasy. Next morning went to check out and the lady said, I see you prepaid for your room and charges to the room. Ya because you made us come and pay up front. Won’t be staying here again!

Pros: beautiful modern lobby; easily accessible and comfortable room; great location, probably the best in Cannes; helpful valet and bell service.
Cons: no turn-down service despite the claim of being a 5 star property; very cheap on things like coffee capsules, soap, shower caps etc.; the restaurant (Scalina) was disappointing--it was our worst dinner in Cannes.

Our recent stay at this hotel was a mix of highs and lows. While the location is excellent and the amenities are as advertised, we encountered several issues that significantly impacted our overall experience.

For the majority of our week-long stay, we faced nightly disturbances that made it difficult to rest and enjoy our vacation. The issues ranged from noisy neighbors to unpleasant odors in the hallways. Despite multiple complaints, these problems persisted for several days without effective resolution.

However, I must commend the staff for their efforts on our final night. After five challenging nights, they were exceptionally accommodating and moved us to a quieter room, which dramatically improved our experience. This gesture, while appreciated, came too late to salvage the overall stay.

The hotel has potential, given its location and facilities, but needs to address its noise management and policy enforcement to ensure a consistently pleasant experience for all guests. While our stay ended on a positive note thanks to the staff's last-minute efforts, the overall experience fell short of expectations for a relaxing beach vacation.

Great hotel and service!

Wonderful and friendly service from the minute we drove up the the minute we left. Everyone was so helpful. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has everything you could ever need. The location is in the best spot, right in the middle of everything and we walked everywhere. Thank you for making our first time to Cannes so enjoyable.

Not nice for a beach city

we heard everything that was happening in our neighbor's room. Too noisy. The hotel is particularly closed, no view from the lobby to the outside. No nice cafe or tea room to sit in. The only restaurant is in the basement

Got charged to use the WiFi. Had to wait in the lobby for 1hr while my room was being prepared and the temperature was not ideal. The remote control in the room for the tv did not work. Pointing out that this location is not meeting the Marriott standards we are used to. A review is needed.

Check in staff was amazing! However the concierge staff were very rude. They provided no help , made no eye contact, and didn’t greet anyone entering or exiting the hotel. The gym is very very small out 2 out of 3 cardio machines were working. The pool and rooftop area is outdated.

Location, location, location. The lobby and common areas are absolutely beautiful. We had a deluxe king room facing the sea. Fantastic view with a window that fully opened. The room itself was a bit dated. The bathroom fixtures and tub were a bit dated, the desk was dented and scuffed a bit. Normally I wouldn't nitpick butt we paid $1,200 for the night and in my opinion everything should be absolutely excellent and it was not. It was absolutely fine.

This is my first time writing review on Expedia. I am very disappointed with this hotel.
It is very close to the beach and the view is amazing if you stay in the Seaview room, bed is comfortable and the view from the room is very nice.
However, I found that we are being charged for extra expense on my deposit card WITHOUT any invoice about details to my email to notify us. I checked with the hotel team through email, and they DID NOT reply me after nearly a month. You have to keep chasing and chasing. They replied only a simple invoice, only 'in-room food' are stated on the invoice without details. We have to ask for more details again. We are being charged for extra consumption on alcohol and even PHARMACY (??dont even know what is it...medicine?).

I am not sure (cos we are stilling CHASING) if I can get refunded on those items we didnt consume. we only consumed few bottle of water during my stays. Bad luck for us maybe to experience this exhausting back and forth.

For those who want to stay in this hotel, you will get amazing view and it is very close to shopping area.
But please remember to make down what you have consume in the room (maybe better to take photos) to avoid situation like me. I think no one want to experience this after their trip.

We are VERY disappointed that your beach is closed for construction renovation. We were not informed at the time of booking and also not notified prior to our arrival. We had chosen your hotel because it is right on the beach. We booked 4 nights to get over our jet lag. Imagine our extreme disappointment when we cannot enjoy the beach during our stay. The room was not available for us until almost an hour after the designated check in time of 3 pm. There was a water leak in the bathroom coming from the light fitting above the toilet which was only partially repaired and continued to drip for all of our 6 night stay. The fitness room is very small and the equipment in need of urgent maintenance However, with the exception of these issues the stay was good and the staff courteous, pleasant and helpful.

Spacious room, a real crib was added upon request. Staff was courteous. Cons are that wifi is for a fee and room service entered several time while knocking, surprising us in the room. When we added the privacy sign though it stopped. The location is amazing and overall I highly recommend this place.

The terrace was a great place to meet for lunch, breakfast etc. However, the staff were resigned to the pigeons who constantly were on the tables eating leftover food. Maybe in some countries, this is nothing but in the UK, pigeons carry diseases and was really off putting because I was not sure how clean the tables were. The room was nice, had everything you could want. The shower was out of this world but again, the curse of leaking water (which happens in EVERY hotel) is a bit of a pain when you want to conserve cleaning of the towels. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful view but you pay for it. Like you do everything else, but 14 euros for a beer?? We received very poor service at the breakfast buffet. There’s a private beach but it’s 20 euros per person just to sit there and you can’t bring your own food or beverage. It’s a decent hotel with a fantastic location, but bring your plastic...you’ll need it.

We were kept awake for most of the night (beyond 4am) by the sound of lorries reversing back and forth, with that attendant loud and annoying beeping every few moments. In addition, there were regular hydraulic lifting noises deployed by these lorries.

No doubt this was all due to preparations for the Film Festival but as it was claimed to be the 72nd such festival, surely there has been some thought given to managing preparations so as not to prevent guests from sleeping.

Room temperature difficult to control. Way too hot most of the time and AC/heating system was weak.

almost anything needed is charged including water
opposite the beach area but does not have a private beach
some maintenance issues that needs to be worked out
lights keep coming and going in the room
the bed asked for is king size but all they have is twin bed that they join
this makes the bed uneven and uncomfortable
television is sometime non responsive as well

Stayed for a week at the JW Marriott in Cannes.
Superb location, very pleasant staff throughout. Comfortable bed / room etc. Nice breakfast each morning on the terrace. Made use of the rooftop pool and sun area most days.
Overall an excellent stay at a very good hotel.
